  1. That is odd that the store would not allow you to do an exchange. Did you have a gift reciept?

Yes, we did. We brought the dress in with the receipt, box, mailer, tags still attached, everything. The sales person said that the catalog is, 'a separate entity'.

  2. JCP is really funny about that. My sister bought my daughter a dress and shipped it as a gift. It was the wrong size. At the store, all they would offer is refunding the credit card that was used, no exchanges at all.

I agree that your only option is to return it and buy it online.

  3. I read on a different site that these are on backorder.

Yes, they are. My mom emailed me that she'd sent these for Christmas toward the first of December. At that time, shipping was 4-8 weeks. Now, she says they are backordered and no idea when they'll ship.

Darn. I was kinda looking forward to looking like a monk.

  4. I would call them. Their guarantee states, "We guarantee fresh, beautiful floral arrangements and plants that will last at least seven days.

If you are not satisfied with the freshness of your flowers, please contact us within that time period and we will replace your item or refund your money."

Either they made it good and didn't mention it or they didn't hold to their guarantee

  5. If i used my debi card at walmart, do they have the ability to look up the receipt? and are they able to reprint it. i think my receipt for all of the xmas present got thrown in the garbage

Sort of. A couple of years ago, I needed a copy of a receipt that I'd lost. They gave me a copy of the transaction journal tape. It may not work for a rebate, however it should for returns. HTH

  6. I've spoken with AirTram CS before. It was over a mileage credit issue. I called and spoke with one rep who said I needed to speak directly with the manager. I called back when I was directed to and the manager still wasn't there, however the CS rep was more than accommodating. She wrote up the issue in detail for the manager to see when she returned and asked me to call back at a specific time. I did and the manager already had the issue cleared up and was awaiting my call to let me know.

If you get a sloppy rep, call another time. There are some good and caring ones.

  7. What's weird about this trend is that when I worked retail, acknowledging the customer was a defence against shoplifting. Shoplifters want to be invisible. If you greet them, they know you know they are there and less likely to steal.

It may or may not work, however it was part of the training at several chains I worked at in my younger years.

  8. I bought the Uni-Flame last year and like it very well. We've had the gas company connect our grills to natural gas, so no tanks for us.

The same model Uni-Flame has 2 different styles. I wanted the one with the little shelf in front as the display model had, but ours didn't have that. It's the one you have pictured. It cooks very nicely, easy to clean, especially the little drip pan in back.

I put it together myself. The only mishap was the wheels were backwards, so the little hub caps wouldn't go on. If you were to force me to find something wrong with it, the best I can come up with is that the shelf is on the 'wrong' side. The grill it replaced, (10 year-old Charbroil) had the cooking element on the other side. It took a bit to get used to that.

If the tank fits on the grill you bought 2-3 years ago, it'll fit on any grill, as far as I've been told. Once they made the safety features mandatory, they should be all the same for home use tanks. Here, to get a tank filled, you drop it off and exchange to get a pre-filled one.

  9. Sorry to post twice in a row, but my order came today.

This is/was an AWESOME deal for what I received. I ordered the shoe pack and received 2 pair of tennis shoes. One is black and decent, the other is red and adorable. The red ones are the type with elastic rather than laces.

In the bag pack, Oh my goodness...

I got a medium sized purse that's black and white checked with stars alternating. I received a black backpack with skull and crossbones (Hmmmm, not sure what I'm going to do with that.) and a laptop case, very nice with all sorts of pockets with a removeable case for a PDA. The PDA case also has pockets.

Thank you very much, OP! This was certainly worth it! :g_clap::yelclap::yay:

  10. Check your online statements.

    From their information page:

"When will you charge my card for the order?

We do not actually charge your card until the bag(s) you order physically leave our warehouse and are on the way to you. If we make a mistake and charge your card before that time, your order is free."

Hmmm, my order status is still pending. I ordered on the 23rd and my card was charged on the 25th. I got an order confirmation, yet no shipping confirmation. They may just get a call.

  11.

    3. 75% off of a hand and body cream that was honey and shea butter. Hopefully this helps my dry skin.

I love this stuff. I bought 12 when they were on sale online. (No BBW within 100 miles...*Sigh*)

Anyway, before I found this, my hands would crack and bleed every winter. I don't know what I'm going to do when I run out...but that should be about 3 years from now, so....

  12. I've been on a desk search myself. I never knew I was so picky about them. I didn't want a hutch. I did want a light color wood and it had to have drawers. The department stores online have many (Target, JC Penney, Walmart, Kmart)

Amazon has a bunch, too. What I did is I went to the Sauder or Bush web sites to find the model I wanted, then Googled that model number. Amazon had the best price and free shipping, too! Shipping can easily add $100 to the price. HIH
