  1. I understand why you would be upset by him coming into your work. However, I think it's very wrong for all of these other people to be getting involved in this situation.

To call the mayor?! Please! I would think that any mayor in his right mind would think twice about making any calls over a matter such as this in an official capacity. It would be construed as an abuse of power.

I buy hundreds....ok more like thousands of dollars of items online annually and I have NEVER had ANYTHING negative happen with UPS. Of course this is a lot bigger city than 1900 people so maybe it's a difference in the mentalities of where people live.

  2. Items are received a lot faster than with free super saver shipping. There have been times I've ordered and even received items in 1 day without requesting overnight service. I think that has to do with where one is in respect to their warehouses.
  3. Before I had PRIME, I found myself ordering items that I probably wouldn't have ordered just to get to the $25.00. I have PRIME and I LOVE it. I do shop a lot on Amazon throughout the year and will check there before I order anywhere else.

If you are on the fence but you do a lot of online shopping, it's definitely worth getting or at least looking into.

  4. Okay question Kmart has a Easy Bake oven for $14.99 and Target is $19.99 will they price match. I know that they will do adjustments but wasn't sure about the matching....

Right now, Target has a coupon in their toy book for 2 mixes with the purchase of the Easy Bake oven. So for $19.99, you get the oven and two mixes (normally $5.99 each).

  5. My daughter wanted Tumbles and I also showed her Lucky. She is still asking for Tumbles. However, I did end up finding Biscuit for a pretty good price so I bought him for part of her Christmas gift.

However, she's 5....she was in love with Butterscotch when he first came out. She was around 3 1/2, I think. I waited until she was a little older to start buying her the more expensive Fur Real animals because they are very expensive and I want them to last her throughout her childhood.

    HTH

  6. That must be a YMMV thing. Doesn't the ad say specifically "no rainchecks"? I don't think they'll give them here.

I've had luck with getting rainchecks on items they regularly carry but not on special purchase type items.

  7. Not to be a downer, but they would never have that for $199. they would be losing money.

Oftentimes companies give extra price breaks to the merchant for special buys like this.

This could be a TV they are wanting to discontinue to bring out a more updated model but have an abundant stock of them. It's a better option for them to offer a merchant a price break and quickly reduce their stock. The company benefits because they can then claim a tax break on their corporate taxes.

  8. I make my Christmas list and treat it like a Bible.

I also shop (mainly clearance) all year long. I shopped A LOT at the Target toy sale last year. I spent around $400-$500 when toys were 75% off. That's what I've used for birthday gifts all year and now will use for Christmas gifts. I just need to buy my daughter's 'Santa' gifts and a few giftcards and I'm done.

I have a lot of kiddos on my list so the toy sale really helped me out.

  9. Most of my DD's clothes come from The Children's Place. I also buy at Target. I just found out that a Gymboree outlet store opened up in my favorite outlet mall so I will look there. I'm too cheap to shop at the regular Gymboree store.

I've also bought her things from Mervyn's but they are going out of business. However, since that is the case, I plan on seeing if they have worthwhile items and if so, I will stock up.

  10. DH, yes DH is hoping I can score a cheap Sleeping Beauty DVD for x-mas.

I don't ever recall seeing Disney movies for very cheap prices. Normally they are in the $15-$20 range.

  11. What's so important about having the actual toy book in hard copy form when you can #1, look at it online and #2, print the coupons online too?

Personally, I think this is great way for Target to save an money and save trees while they are at it.
