I used to work in a restaurant and for many years worked on BF back then i wasn't much into the BF shopping so that part didn't really bother me however so many ppl coming in after they had been shopping were just down right nasty seemed if they didn't get what they were looking for they yook it out on us......so remember ppl when you stop for a bite after shopping these ppl in the restruants have been working NOT out getting the deals or purchasing want you wanted so it is not their fault so try to be nice to them remember a smile goes a long way!

I am soooooo glad my husband does NOT go with me! He has to look at everything and I do mean everything even if we have no use for it! I end up walking away from him! So Xmas shopping I usually do!!

OMG you sound like my daughter! Thanksgiving night she paces all excited and worrying we laugh at her after several hours of this she informs everyone she thinks she is going to be sick LOL you know who you are "rgb"

got a couple of items last year and sent in the rebates when they finally got to me in the mail it was like Xmas all over again! especially since one of the rebates was for 100 bucks that was nice

the other day she told me she used Rox as her "gopher" last yearsaid she didn't know what she was gonna do this year cuz she didn't know if Rox was going at which point I reminded her that it might be a little hard for Rox to get past ppl this year with her BIG belly and even though she is pregnant I do NOT think ppl would take pitty on her as for the warm weather .........when you are used to getting all bundled up to go shopping somehow it just does not seem right to go Xmas shopping in flip flops and tank tops!!!!

have never used one personally but have seen ppl use them and it looked like once you got the hang of it, it would be pretty easy at least easier than going up and down a ladder Jess? you mean you actually took yours down last year??????

nope never happened to me but we always used to stick somneone behind the tree and someone in front and pass the string of lights of course there was always the one sitting watching saying ummmm you missed a spot!

we used to go for a drive on xmas eve and look at all the xmas lights a good way to get overly excited kids to fall asleep :)

when we were growing up we didn't use the store bought stockings (did they have em then?) we used one of our socks.....and they were all filled the same every year fruit & candies and the all important candy cane hanging out of the top however these days the kids would look at us like we lost or marbles.....hmmmm maybe they are in your stocking guys!!!!

we have a very small apt and no space for a tree either last year my neighbor picked up a little tree (about a foot tall) and brought it over to me it came with a little set of lights and little ornaments to put on it perfect to put on an end table and was really thoughtful of her you might think about those little potted ones you see in all the stores too they also have little ornaments on them and if you have a green thumb you would have it year to year who knows when you have a bigger place you might even have a bigger tree :)

Yeah my kids have opened gifts on Thanksgiving or any other day they could find where they were hidden they just won't admit to doing so usually would try to retape like as if I wouldn't notice!!

CRAZY? Lemme tell you.........I went shopping on BF one year with my daughter (rgb) you wanna talk crazy!! Thanksgiving night we were at her house, she had ALL of the ads out comparing items and prices and making her list by store and making notes next to each item with the location of the item in the store. When i asked her how she knew where everything thing would be, told her that they would prolly move everything around for the sale she told me she had been to the stores earlier Thanksgiving day and "scoped out" the place said they were all getting ready! I just shook my head! When she picked me up at 3 am I have to say I was impressed, I had NEVER seen her as organized for anything as she was for this event..... she had her lists along with all the ads.......she is not a very patient person so you can imagine standing in line with her! "I wish they would hurry up" "Did you see that? That's not fair" etc etc When the doors opened I could not believe how this other wise calm laid back daughter of mine turned into a CRAZY person........she took off like a bat out of hell knew what she wanted where it was etc.........when i finally caught up with her she was standing with a look I had never seen on her before she was watching this older lady who had an item in her hand looking at it undecided naturally it was the last of the item finally I saw her walk up to this women and ask if she was going to purchase it the lady informed her that she was not sure.. at which point my daughter says "oh, well i AM sure" and she TOOK the item from the lady.... at the check out she starts going through her pockets and looking like she was going to faint she kept saying "OMG OMG I lost it" so, me, thinking she lost her money or other method of payment got nervous and said " what what did you loose? she said "MY LIST" that was when i said "I'll meet you outside I NEED a cigarette!!" So Crazy you ask? Oh yeah we call HER CRAZY!
