  1. I went back and bought the Kasa Smart Plug Mini with Energy Monitoring as well. It was $3.49 after Alexa credit and I got another $1 digital credit. Now I can add this to my library... https://www.amazon.com/Hair/dp/B001NZRG80 The Cowsills Hair 1969 IN COLOR !! - YouTube
  2. They better, huh? Actually, these guys guarantee all work for life. A year after a past repair, I lost a clip holding a fender panel to the rest of the car. He noticed it this visit and said he'd repair under warranty.
  3. I didn't buy anything on BF, but I did buy a color changing, dimmable smart bulb for $0.99 from Amazon via Alexa. Say, "Alexa, show my deals," add the bulb (first deal) to your cart, then check out (I did this on my PC). Choose no rush shipping for a $1 digital credit. Yup, Amazon will pay you a penny to take this bulb off their hands. Also, search your email for 'Discover Amazon'. I got a promotion offering $10 off a qualifying purchase if I changed my default payment method to Discover. I used the credit to get a Zenith Industries ZN700001 Trim Puller for $14.60. Also got $1 for no rush shipping. I'm going to use the digital credits to purchase this mp3... The Rain, The Park & Other Things (Single Version) by The Cowsills on Amazon Music - Amazon.com
  4. I accidently broke into a business this morning. I am having some work done on my car next week. The shop is five miles from my home. I figured I could catch some dry weather for my walk home if I got there right when they opened. I arrived at the shop just a little after 8:00, parked my car, and walked in the front door. While the lobby was lit, the office area was dark. I heard an alarm. I assumed the person opening was a little late. After waiting for someone for a couple minutes, I left the building and walked around to the service area. Looking in the window, it was completely empty and kind of dark. I returned to the office, left my keys at the desk with a note. I also called their number and left a voice mail explaining that I had walked into their unlocked office, left my keys, and left locking the door behind me (didn't want someone else to walk in, grab my keys, and steal my car, right? As I was walking home, I heard sirens, so I returned to the scene of the crime. As I approached the police, I raised my hands over my head and confessed to setting off the alarm. They ran my license and sent me on my way. Anyone have a more interesting Black Friday than me?
  5. Should say MADE actually, but EVERYWHERE. When I started looking at pellet grills, I did not want to spend that much money as I already owned propane and charcoal smokers. I stumbled across the OSJL ad and decided to take another look. It's hard to find a review that doesn't tout this history, but I don't think they have made grills for other companies since introducing their own in 2016. Allegedly, they designed Traeger grills and their first grills were derived from designs for Traeger... from Pellet Grill Reviews (bbqdryrubs.com) from Z Grills Review – are They any Good? 6. Cloudy skies early. A few showers developing later in the day. High near 45F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
  7. Did a little shopping the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I didn't get to Shaws on Friday (first day of the ad) and was wondering if the place would be picked clean. Nope. Plenty of everything. Eye of Round Roast $2.97/lb (six pounds for jerky) Sweet Potato 37c/lb (for Burbank's Sweet Potato Casserole) Asparagus 97c/lb Scallops $6.97/lb Butter $1.97/lb Silk Oak Milk $1.49/half gallon Friendly's Ice Cream $1.97/48oz Green Giant frozen vegetables 99c ea Green Giant canned vegetables 79c ea Campbells cream of mushroom soup 99c eaPopped in to Aldis for some Salmon ($7.79/lb) and found 1% milk at $1.29/gallon. Grabbed some coffee creamer for $1.85/qt and baby carrots 79c/lb. I stopped into the Dollar Store for some cleaners (oven, rug, mineral/rust, and shower -- all still a buck despite rumors to the contrary. I was in Walmart as well (Levis belt $14...bigger than I expected <s>). Always have to check out the televisions. My first look at the TCL series 4 75" did not disappoint. Ditto on the Hisense. I'll be venturing out into retail stores this week and next. Really do not want to depend on online purchases this year. The ads really suck this year -- at least for the things I am shopping for. Staples: If you are looking for an inexpensive desktop, I like the HP at Staples (live now, free shipping). $25 4k Fire TV stick is the best price ever (not inflated). The Asus laptop (live now, free delivery) is a great deal. Unfortunately, I am shopping for none of these.Walmart: I like the $69.99 PowerXL air fryer. The $499 Asus 15" MSI #GF63 with its GTX 1650 accelerator, 10th gen i5, SSD, and 8GB of RAM would be a very good laptop for a gamer. At less than $300, the portable spa intrigues, but the six people it claims to seat in a 6' diameter spa is suspect.Kohls: I already bought the Keurig Duo. I don't recommend the unit as my pump is failing after just over a year (aka warranty), but at $62.99, I'll rent one for another year hoping my current unit is just a lemon. Kohls also has the $24.99 4K Fire TV stick. Get two and $15 cash back. The $45 Echo Show 5 is a good deal. It has a mechanical shutter for privacy. Target: Echo Show 5 $44.99Home Depot: I got the two pack of Ryobi 4a batteries for $79. Lowes: Echo Show 5 $39.99 and Echo Show 8 for $59.99. Blink indoor cameras for $19.99 and outdoor cameras for 2/$99.99. Feit Electric Smart WiFi 3-Pack 60-Watt Equivalent Full Color Dimmable LED Light Bulbs for $26.98 <-- great deal! GE bulbs are $26.98 right now. Alexa make bed red! Four pack of smart outlets for $19.98. I must have 20 of these. Alexa turn on Christmas. Alexa turn on desk lamp. Alexa turn on xbox light. Bed Bath and Beyond: Echo Show 5 $34. Nestwell plush robe $29. Cuisinart air fryer/toaster oven $105. Ocean State Job Lot: Novelty onesie union suits $10 -- including the bunny suit from Christmas Story. Can't wait to post a picture of my adult sons in those. Not really a BF deal, but Z Grills Wood Pellet Grill & Smoker $399.99 and get a $200 Crazy Deal Gift Card! These guys make made the Traeger grills.Only valid thru Nov 24 2021.Otherwise, not much excites me about this BF.

  12. 32-43" is the right size for a dorm or bedroom. That said, I have 55" sets in my bedrooms. There tends to be less room and, especially, less wall space in a dorm. You really cannot hang a big TV on a wall in a dorm anyway. I'd return the smaller sets if you can.
  13. I am looking for a meatless meal or a couple meatless meals to add to my menu. These would be for weeknights, so slow cooker or instant pot recipes would be great. The thing is we're not vegans or vegetarians, so I would not want to be 'settling' for something simply because it is meatless. Things we avoid in our diet: white potato, white bread, white rice, and pasta. So far, I see stir-fry ideas, meatless Chinese, and meatless Mexican (bean burritos, cauliflower rice). Some recipes I want to try... Really Good Vegetarian Meatloaf (Really!) 14. FINALLY! Bare shelves in New Hampshire. On the first day of the ad, store brand k-cups were all but sold out. Of course, the k-cups were 12.5c each, so it may have just been a demand thing, right? Limit of two boxes per person with a best by date of 12/16/2022, so I got an Italian Roast and a French Roast. Wish me luck! Other things on my list... Blackberries $2/pintBacon $3.99/lbNew England Coffee 33c per k-cupShredded cheese $1.59/8 ozPineapple 99c each@magickallight, I agree about Amazon Prime. 19. I'm just starting to think about frozen desserts. I made a very thick and frozen smoothie which my son ate as ice cream. He asked me to do it again. Now I want to do it better.
  20. Still works for me, but search for Cuisinart® Pure Indulgence Ice Cream Maker if it doesn't work for you.
  21. I was looking at that too as well as this review... ICE CREAM MAKER REVIEW - Ninja CREAMi tutorial - YouTube After reading the comments (my neck is sore from nodding), I'm having second thoughts despite the attractive $105 price. Maybe this instead? https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1431534 at a net cost of $65.
  22. So the Walmart delivery person rings your bell and waits? What if you are not home or in the shower when they deliver? How much do you tip and is it part of the purchase or handed to the driver at the time of delivery?

  25. No surprise. During the Marketbasket strike, Walmart's shelves were bare while another local grocer (Hannaford) installed extra registers, hired additional employees, and secured local production that Marketbasket could not use. Agile corporations with short supply chains are much better prepared to react to market change than bureaucratic corporations. That is one of MANY reasons I eschew the corporations you named.
