We arrived at Best Buy at 10p.m. and there were already at least 30 people ahead of us. Next year, I am also pushing my time forward. I did not like being so far back in the line. The thought of not getting my stuff was too much. I was informed about what could possibly happen, but was thinking no one else would be thinking about the same items as me. I was also thinking most islanders are so cool and laid back, they'd never be outside of the store acting a fool, BIG MISTAKE.

I wonder if the retailers had more of the big ticket items would that now be the report. Some stores didn't have enough items to really catch a persons eye. If they have a few big sales in the coming weeks, things may get a little better for them.

Can you go ahead and purchase something before they expire and return it to the store later? If so, they'll probably give you a gift card and then you can use it for "the big sale".

I would speak with the store manager and just tell them that he'd been in the store waiting for hours and couldn't wait any longer. If you are nice, they will probably understand and do it.

I think that I will go to Walmart and see if anything good is there.

I am no where near done. I haven't bought my husband a thing. He's been with me everytime that I've been shopping. I am going to try and get some of his gifts this week and I am going to pick up a few items for the kids.

That was really nice of the lady to cancel your contract for you.

I am so ready to go right now, after a nap. I am more informed about stores and deals, thanks to this site.

I would take it back and either buy a different brand or go to a different store all together.

I am glad that I didn't go to CC because by 11p.m. the line was along side the building, thru the parking lot and up on the sidewalk. When we went today, we heard from the sales associates how bad it really was and how bad folk were acting.

I didn't see or hear abouy any injuries.

I think you and your girlfriend did hella good, first bf or not. I think you can hang with the best of them and hold your own. Those walkie-talkies do come in handy. We used our Nextels and they worked like a charm. I'm glad you had a good experience.:)

We left home at 10p.m. to go to BB, after that ordeal we went to Macy's and the px. We got home at 11:20a.m.

I saw that and I bet they won't try it again. They are gonna plan better for bf2006, I hope.

I am sure that after this, there will be many a training meeting and hopefully they'll get it together before bf2006.:)

We are going to the px first, CC and who knows where we'll end up.

I am already thinking about getting the BB bucks will help next year.

I also must say that if it were not for this site, I wouldn't have been at BB at 10p.m. If I were just going on my own thoughts, I would've shown up at 1a.m. and been standing inline with the others across the parking lot. :bunny:

I like talking to people around me. Sometimes you'll find out what they are after and vice versa. There are times people will help each other out by grabbing an item for their fellow bf shopper.:)

That was so nice of that guy to let you guys stay there and shop to boot.
