  1. Every year I struggle with this. I asked my Facebook friends but got nothing I could really use. Here are the details. Early 40s man, married, 5 kids. Buy themselves what they need when they want. We work in financial planning/investment services, and he makes about 300k annually. I, obviously, do not make anything near that. He's not a tie-wearing guy, not a home-fix-it guy, he loves sports. A gift certificate is kind of out because then it puts a set price on the gift. I would love some ideas, and I appreciate the help! Thank you!
  2. Last year they had those cute gift sets (6 or 8 "play figurines" from various movies) in a plastic display box. Those were discounted heavily on BF. Are those available this year and will they be discounted again? They were great stocking stuffers.
  3. I called two area Target's today. After much confusion and phone passing I finally spoke with a manager at each. They told me that the Toy Catalog's will be available in store starting tomorrow, likely at Guest Services. I will probably call another Target later to see if I get the same story.
  4. Why oh why are the iTunes gift cards not available in Wisconsin?????

    Big Toy Book

I didn't get my book yet either! But we got my DS4 birthday ($5 off a $25 purchase) card/reminder on Saturday. Hope that's not slowing up the delivery of the book!

    Big Toy Book

I just called... the options have changed, but it's still fairly simple. Option 1 for English, then Option 4 I think for mailing list info... it's an easy prompt.
  7. I started about two weeks ago with my Kohl's friends and family coupons; bought some clothes for my dad off clearance. Now he's 50% done. Otherwise just some stocking stuffers. October is when I really get shopping though, looking for online deals and crossing things off the list. Have to be very cost conscious this year so I am doing a lot of research and price checking before making any purchases. It's good to be organized this early!
  8. Toys R Us was BY FAR the worst last year. They opened at midnight, and let in way too many people. You could not walk anywhere in the store. Then the lines were around the entire perimeter of the store, so by the time you finally found what you were looking for (which was a chore because the aisles were all full) you had to try to navigate to the entrance of the store and get back in line; the lines of which really never moved. So after an hour of this, I dumped my stuff in an aisle and followed a guy and a cart who said he was getting the h*ll out of there and left. Went home and ordered all their early bird specials online. Much better experience.
  9. I'll be looking for the VTech e-Reader as well as some wii games. Possibly a 19" or 27" TV for our playroom, and a drum set for my son. Legos or Trio sets also. Hoping to not break the bank this year, but need gifts for my son's birthday and Christmas. Thank goodness for early planning!
  10. Love them and would be excited to wear on BF!
  11. I did it at 37 weeks. It was pretty crazy because I was a bit slower than normal, but I'll tell you, people got out of my way and didn't bump into me. The "personal space" was pretty nice!
