  1. Sounds good. Esp. after some of the BF ads are out. Then we can talk about those as well.
  2. I have my mom and dad, my mate and I, and sometimes my uncle. Dad won't come out until later (8am), but he gets the non rush items. Mom and I usually stick together, and then my guy goes to other stores. We have a battle plan before hand, and treat it like strategic warfare. Making references to the Penguins of Madagascar all the time. I'm the Skipper though. My mate is relatively new to BF though (only 3 yrs), so we call him the Private.
  3. On my 5th birthday, I asked to use a hammer and hit nails into a crate. First swing, Hammer hit my thumb nail and it broke into a mosaic of blood and fingernail shells. I never wanted to hammer anything after that. Now I have a power drill instead and this is 25 yrs later
  4. I already started to collect gift cards for this holiday season (via returns, prescriptions, and cashing in survey and reward sites)
  5. I always get the Penny's snow globe. Then just before Thanksgiving I line all the years snow globes up above my computer so I can see them when I'm looking at the ads.
  6. The first year I bought online, I really didn't get much I liked (i.e. a laptop bag that was clunky but didn't look so, gave it away and kept the mouse). Last year I didn't do BB online since the shipping prices were too high for just dvds. I did shop at Comp USA online last year and got awesome flashdrives, Almost used them all up too! If you aren't sure of the model, make, what it is like in person, I wouldn't get it. And watch out for shipping cost, sometimes that could make the BF deal only a regular deal or not one at all.
  7. Desktop Netbook External Harddrive and Flash Drives DVDs A Bike
  8. I haven't been to Meijers that early I usually end up going around 9am. But one year I heard that ours had a long line in the store for the electronics section and that they gave tickets out.
  9. I did alot of the contests but never won - i'll still do them this year, its fun
  10. Who else is antzy for the first ad? Any ad. It was nice that Ace was early last year. At least there was an ad to look at until the next one. I keep checking the site just in case for the last few days. Usually I don't start looking this early but a post on livejournal made me start early.
  11. I usually see some people on here from the area in the Black Friday Forums. Do you shop around here on that day?
  12. I just got this in the email. Apparently the Crossroad's Mall in Portage Michigan is having a big sale at most of their stores - I looked at the list of deals and I admit that they are really good. So if you live around Portage or Kalamazoo, check it out. This is what my email said: Looking fabulous doesn't have to break the bank - especially when you come to our Shop Smart Look Fab event. On September 17-20, some of your favorite stores are offering exclusive deals and special offers on the hottest items you need for fall. http://www.shopsmartlookfab.com/Content/Offers.pdf
  13. Yeah. I just went to Michaels and tomorrow will hit up Hobby Lobby to get a few things to start making now, because I'll never get it done otherwise.
  14. They also usually send out a 15% off for members on your entire order right before hand that you can use on BF.
  15. I'll either be in Michigan or visiting Florida. Michigan is always Portage/Kalamazoo - these people are really friendly and usually laid back during BF In Florida it is crazy madness, I almost got trampled down there, but the thrill of hunt is great because it is so frenzied If I'm down there, I'll be in Jacksonville, but everything is too spread out there, so I'll travel down to Gainesville for BF shopping
  16. Went to Meijers today and they had their Halloween stuff out.

    Now what? :(

Got 5 papers, some at different places, for the Macy's coupon - and - no Macy's ad
  19. I have one. Once you have all your lighted decorations up, you plug them into the box. And the box will play music and make the light flash and dance in time with the beat. So it makes your own personal light show.
  20. One of the people who does the sales ads for them said that the new online program is really good and that they should have a lot of the sales online.
  21. Sears Price Match Policy http://www.sears.com/shc/s/nb_10153_12605_NB_CSpricematch?adCell=AF
  22. I need some new boots (they have the ones I want for 19.99 and they are usually 70). My Dad is getting alot of Craftsman Tools. And the $20 luggage looks good. We are also considering a HD TV from Sears, maybe one from the ad or price matching one from another ad there. But I really prefer Sears for electronics since they have always been great to me in honoring their warranties.
  23. I have been trying, many of them have them on computer and aren't sending in to printers yet incase they want to change things. I will ask world market next.
  24. This has to be the scariest thing that happened to me - Last year I was nearly trampled to death at The Oaks Mall Blitz. Around 5:55am everyone crowds around the main enterance to the Oaks Mall as they give gift bags with prizes, samples, and coupons (this was after pepboys, jcpennys, and sears). So my BF, mother and uncle were about 7 rows back. (I weighed 98lbs). Once the doors were open everyone was at first proceeding nicely, then at about when the 5th row was going in the entire crowd began to push. My mother and uncle were behind me (and they both are much bigger than me). We get inside the doors, and a girl steps on my ankle while her and the rest of the crowd behind are pushing. I fell flat on the ground, just inside the doors, before the tables. With the rush of the crowd, I would have been trampled but my mom seen what happened. And she stood like arms spread out, looking like Gandalf in the "none shall pass" scene, in front of the doors. It took me a couple of seconds to get up and get out of the way, which was also impossible, I ended up crawling underneath the tables to get out. I came away with only a spained ankle, thanks to mom. Here is footage of The Oaks Mall Blitz @ 6 "Throngs of shoppers descended on The Oaks Mall when it opened just before 6 a.m. Friday for the traditional start of the holiday shopping season." http://www.brightcove.tv/title.jsp?title=1321238391 The reason it cuts away, right after the initiate door opens, is that the rush was so bad the people filming and handing out the bags ran and jumped over the tables.
