  1. My 10 yr old DD wanted one and her little cousin (5) got one and they played with it. I'm glad I didn't get DD one. they ended up frosting the cupcake with a knife. I told DD we would just bake real cupcakes and make real cookies for her to decorate and she was fine with that. The decorating part of the the contraption really is pretty cruddy.
  2. ACK!!!! After a full day of shopping yesterday and then lots of phone calls to various stores within a 50 mile radius, I'm not able to find one! There's one online (Target), but after tax and shipping...it comes to $140. I'm just thinking that's more than I want to pay right now. I guess if I'm still without one this time next week, I'll be kicking myself. I've got family in 2 states looking for one and then they'll buy it and mail it to me.
  3. whooo hooo!!! I just got back from Big Lots and got that Jennifer Ferrell gathering table I've had my eye on since summer! We moved a couple of weeks ago and needed a new table. I googled last week to see when they might be having another Friends and Family sale! I was so exicted when I got this coupon in my inbox! I was not happy when I called the local store and found out that they sold the table last week. I went to the next town over and they had one left (floor model. The manager had said there was no way it would fit in my Expedition, but it did! took the leaf out and legs off and it fit perfect! Now, I'm printing another coupon and heading back out for some more furniture!
  4. You might look into some of the sites mentioned earlier this summer in discussion area as to using Bleach, Borax and baking soda as your main chemicals for a pool. We have an above ground 18' pool and I was having trouble about mid summer with the chemicals really not working so I tried Bleach (6% sodium Chloride) instead of Chlorine and it turned my pool water around, it was sparkly, in the right range when tested and was alot cheaper than pool chemicals. Borax and Baking soda raises the PH which helps the chlorine (which is what bleach is primarily made of sodium chloride) maintain balance in the pool. High PH you use muratic acid (paint supplies) to lower it.

In essence, when I start my pool up next year, I am not messing with all the different pool chemicals, I am using Bleach and if needed the other products (our PH was high and after adding the bleach a few times, didn't need to lower it, it fell in the acceptable range). Get a good test kit.

What would constitute a "good" test kit without spending a bunch of money?
