Ok, I am planning to get DH an MP3 player and I have two (more) questions... 1. He wants to be able to download songs onto it from some of the cd's he already has. I have heard that you can do this with free software. What is this software and how do I get it? 2. He also wants to be able to download new songs off the internet. Anybody have any opinions on where to do this from. I know there are many out there, but don't know which one to go with. And we're not sure if we want to subscribe to one that you pay a certain fee a month and get unlimited downloads or if we want to do one where you pay per download. So, would like to hear opinions on both.

I was just looking at the archives from 2004 and the cd's weren't metioned on last years CC list either. However, they still had them. So, I would imagine they will have the $9.99 CDs. They usually do every year.

Gonna try to stay clear of fighting since I'm prego! But don't think I'm not gonna be right up there pushing my way through. Maybe I should carry a chair so I can do this if anyone's getting to close to my belly.

CC is usually our first stop, so... Usually about 30 minutes before the store opens they will bring out a map of the store, and will have the big items (the ones that are gonna be the most popular) marked. And they will put items in weird spots, however, you've got the map to mark out you're strategy. There are no tickets or anything like that. Once they open the doors, it's a free-for-all!! My group will usually split up (since the items we want are spread all over the store) and one person will take one item. We will know how many we all want of that item and the person assigned to that item will grab that many.

Those are some really good FAR items. One of those we were planning on getting this year, would be great to get it free!! BTW, I was just searching to find it and let me tell you... Of all the BF sites, this is definately the most attractive and user friendly of all of them!! Great job Brad and Ross!!

WOO HOO!! Only 7 more days till Turkey Day (with my grandmother's wonderful dressing) when I have the ads in my hands!! Then less than a day after that till waiting in line!!

My favorite is still the old 7up commercials. Back from a long time ago. The one with the little dots, and the fire truck falling out of santas bag, hitting the tree, and the little dots end up hanging from the tree. It's on some of the old Cartoon Christmas specials that I taped off tv as a kid, so I see them every year.

We've got them all on tape here and watch them all through the holidays. We've got Rudoulph, Frosty, The Grinch, Charlie Brown Christmas, heck I even have The Garfield Christmas Special that I taped back when I was REALLY young!!

I didn't know they even still made those!!

The gas prices have dropped dramatically, so I don't think it will have that much of an effect. And even if it did, I think it would only effect the amount spent.

It sounds like you're more upset about the number you will be able to buy rather than the actual amount spent. So, you could just spend less on each person. You are newly married, with only one income, and I'm sure putting money into your studio. So no one should be upset with the amount spent. That's about all the advice I can give you. DH and I are one of the lucky few couples that don't argue about money. So, it's an unfamiliar situation for me. But I could see how it could cause HUGE problems in a relationship. So since you've got your venting out (which can seriously need to be done in a marriage) maybe you should just sit down and disscuss the issue with him. That way maybe you can work something our for this issue and other future money issues.
