I had to buy my DD, the paleontologist, the green dinosaur one. LOL

Oops, my bad...I was looking at the date at the top of the screen and ignored the date on the article. Sorry! The local news reported on it and that's the article that came up.

That was my thought too!

I didn't participate this year due to finances, but I think Gift cards are a cop out and shouldn't be the only gift. Half the fun IMO is picking out the perfect gift based on the questionnaire.

I went to Dollar Tree today and they had signs up that they are open Thanksgiving day. That one surprised me, it's not like they have sales. Just keeping up the the Other retailers, I guess.

We usually spend around $200-300 on each kid and $100 on each other plus $50 on MIL. Other gifts are just little ones I pick up through the year when I see great deals. I put $20/week in a savings account so that pays for a good chunk of our expenses.

All I'm waiting on is the Amazon lists of lightning deals. I need video games & TV box sets.

I have this one. It's fantastic. You can charge 2 devices at once. http://www.hsn.com/products/instacharge-10000mah-portable-electronics-charger/7239597?variant=7239599

I'm with you all. My husband calls me "Grinch" but I just can't get into the holidays now that the kids are grown. This will be the 1st year that DD won't be home, her new job won't allow her enough time off and I can't afford to send her a plane ticket (She lives 1100 miles away). My In-laws are a nightmare, their family motto seems to be "It's not Christmas until somebody cries", I actually did a little dance when MIL cancelled Thanksgiving. At least the house gets decorated as I am married to Clark Griswold LOL. DH puts up 9 trees.

The Nikon that Target has for $99 is a nice one. I got it for DD last year & it takes great shots. It's not a DSLR but its a great starter bridge camera. And it goes click, click, click, click

I've been married for 26 years and my MIL still doesn't allow me in the family picture LOL I like the new collage ones you can do. Maybe one of the at homes & separate shots for kids who have moved out.

The one I saw on FB was last years.
-
KMart has always been open Thanksgiving day.
-
I agree. My favorite gift from last year was concert tickets and a GC to the Richard Petty Driving School.
-
Me too. I've tried on different browsers, different computers and nothing

Amazon GCs, ITunes GCs, and judging from my credit card statements, I need Ticketmaster GCs LOL

IPad Mini Ebays daily deal HELP!
speeddiva replied to Deal Grabber's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
It would be the same procedure with an iPad as the iPod Touch. You use iTunes via her laptop. You can't hook a camera directly to it. -
We need a new police/weather scanner. I was hanging on a good one for BF but this one isn't it so I guess I'll go buy the one I want now.
-
I don't mind it, but I have no family left (other than my kids at home) and I cannot stand my in-laws, so we do Thanksgiving lunch and then we can head out to whatever sales are happening. I do feel for the employees who have to choose between job & family.

The Santa Claus (1, 2 & 3) and Elf.
