  1. We always hit McDonalds for breakfest. Lunch will depend on where we are.
  2. Walmart - it is the closest - only 10 minutes away. After that we head over to Delaware for the rest of our shopping.
  3. We do 6-10 gifts each plus stocking. Our kids are the only grandkids so far so they get spoiled from everyone.
  4. For my hubby, one year I took a very large box and placed some of my old college text books at the bottom to make it "feel" heavy. I then wrapped his present and placed the wrapped gift inside the bigger box and then wrapped the bigger box.
  5. We generally take down all the Christmas decorations around New Years Day. Sometimes a day or two before New Years. We will leave all the snowman stuff out until March.
  6. I have to agree with several other posters.... The Coca Cola polar bears and the budweiser ones are my favorites
  7. We start hanging the icicle lights and chasers on the house and garage the weekend before Thanksgiving and the do the rest of the outside decorations Thanksgiving weekend.
  8. Depends on what we need to get. If we can avoid using one then that is what we do. It is easier to get around without a cart.
  9. Christmas club! We refuse to charge anything for the holidays.
  10. Christmas Bonus!?! You mean there are companies that give out a Christmas Bonus?
  11. I have bought some gifts - I think we are only 1/4 way done shopping. Trying to hold out for sales since we are on a tight budget.
  12. I haven't had that issue yet and hopefully I won't for many years. my kids are ages 5 years and 3 months.

    keeping warm...

    dress in layers, hand warmers (lots of them) placed in shoes, gloves, pant pockets, and if is that cold - blankets. There are several of us who go together so we just huddle together.
  14. I only buy what I plan on givings as gifts for that Christmas. I do not have the extra money to buy things just to have on hand.
  15. I start wrapping the first weekend in December and will spread out my wrapping. I am usually done wrapping within 2 weeks.
  16. we shop for 16. Last year was 24 but we have decided to stop exchanging with some family and friends. This number does not include the people I give baked goodies to.
  17. it has never rained or snowed while we standing in lines. One time did rain lightly but that was later in the morning.

  19. our daughter is in kindergarten so she only has one teacher. We plan on getting a travel coffee mug and a gift certificate so she can refill her coffee mug anytime she needs too.

  21. I do not cook Thanksgiving dinner. We go to my MIL's for dinner. However I do make the pies and the pepperoni bread for everyone to munch on while watching the football games.
  22. My husbands still collects transformers. I could not tell you how many he has, there are soooo many.

  24. French Toast Casserole Ingredients 1 loaf of any kind of Bread 8 ounces cream cheese 1/2 c.sugar, divided 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 4 eggs 2 c. Milk 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 TBSP. butter, melted Directions Cut bread into cubes. Place half of bread cubes into greased 9x13 baking dish. Microwave the cream cheese until melted, stirring midway. Stir 1/4 c. of the sugar and vanilla into the melted cream cheese, blend well. Pour this mixture over the bread cubes (will not completely cover the bread). Top with remaining bread cubes. In a bowl, beat the remaining sugar, eggs, milk, cinnamon and melted butter together. Pour over bread cubes. let sit in refrigerator overnight. Bake at 350 deg. F for 35 minutes. Serve with warm syrup or fruit toppings
  25. I will be picking up a few things for my mom cause she has offered to watch our kids this year on BF. She didn't like standing out in the cold last year.
