Yep, I love the shopping lists too. And duplicates is good, if one store is out or something else weird, you can easily see the backup plan.

My mom usually does the weekend before too. And puts up all the decorations, except the kitchen. After thanksgiving dinner, we put away thanksgiving decor and put out the snowmen. This year though, she has decided for the first time ever to get a real tree. She has 7 cats and stuff on the floor (like fallen pine needles) drives her crazy, so I'm thinking this might be the only year for that adventure. So I'm not sure if she'll do the other decorations before the tree, or just do it all at once.

We usually do it the weekend after Thanksgiving. Sometimes, while I'm out shopping Friday, my husband will start pulling everything out for me so it's ready to start Friday.

I ordered two gifts from overseas this week, to ensure there is plenty of time for them to arrive. And I started my pile of boxes today, that will turn into several piles before Christmas arrives! A couple boxes are birthday gifts that are between 4-6 weeks away, but that's okay... Nice to see that pile going!

I finally got something bought. A PJ Masks little fold up chair for the grandson. Tomorrow will be Amazon shopping for some things with long shipping times. I also have 5 family birthdays before Christmas too, one of them my daughter, so most Christmas will be put off until all that is complete.

My sister only looks at the paper ads. And makes her list Thursday afternoon. And I'm just screaming inside, saying "that sale started online last night, you could have ordered it already!!!". I personally love the My Shopping List feature here on Gotta Deal. I print it, but then it's also very easy to pull up on my phone while I'm shopping. I paper clip any coupons (in an envelope) to the list, and make notes in the notes section on what coupons I have.

Yep, I could have said all those exact words. My birthday is actually this week, so I'm already going through that. I'm like you... I wanna buy a rug for the living room, cabinet for the bathroom... But you can't ask for those things. But then I feel silly saying things like, lighting kit for my Lego castle, or this craft kit to put together... I ended up just telling mama clothes, and sent her some pictures, but then that ended up hard too. I'm out of ideas for right now, so I have to start thinking again...

14 family, plus our 1 set of friends and their son. So 17 total. Then maybe a few co-workers for small things. I know what you mean about things changing through the years. Years ago we'd also get together with/buy for husband's family and that was another 20 or so people, depending on the year.

Yay! Love it. Got mine in.

I bought a power outlet plug-in thingy with USB for my son's stocking. And that's it so far.

Yep. The first few days after Christmas I was pretty bad, I didn't know what to do. No lists to make and check, nothing to research and look for... I'm a little better now. Helps that the grandson has a birthday now in a few weeks, so that is a small thing to look at things for.

Made 2 trips. To same store. Found some. Be sure to check the Nordicware and the Farberware stuff. I found a display of measuring cups and spatulas on a side endcap. And look for burts bees, got a few different sets of those. Also got some Febreeze and glade stuff, some of that was still on an endcap. And some cool wire baskets in red, white, and aqua that had been in the dollar spot. -

Toolbox with pink tools 2 wooden watches, one natural and one colored striped bamboo Amber bracelet Lenses for my phone camera Massage pillow Black combat boots Small Naked eyeshadow palette (I am so not a makeup person, but my daughter loves it, so I thought I'd try it. So I asked for the half sized one) Polished geodes Candy dish that my mom added a sparkly handle to Clothes And a mop and bucket!

Well, against my better judgement, I left the house, which means I found things to buy. And then I had to buy something for the other kid too. But I needed a couple things from the grocery store, and while I was passing by.. Cookies are done, still need to dip the peanut butter balls in chocolate and make brownies. I had really hoped to have all that done already, but I got distracted and spent 2 days in the craft room.

My daughter was just able to get one at Walmart. She saw they showed stock and went up and asked. The guy didn't know of any, but went and searched the back and found them, they weren't out yet. I'm guessing they were to be put out for tomorrow. ( hope he doesn't get in trouble) So it wouldn't hurt to check with your Walmart if you're still looking! Good luck!

Today I wrapped. For 5 hours! Ack! But now all the shopping and all the wrapping is done. One batch (10 dozen) of tiny cookies was made last night, but probably only half are still around. And that's why I don't bake early! Tomorrow is craft day, and I'll start on buckeyes. Getting closer!

My daughter's store got theirs today too, at noon. They got 3. She said they sold in 10 minutes to people that were in the store already.

Shopping - I actually did pretty good this year. I have a couple things that will arrive tomorrow, and one thing I need to pick up while I'm grocery shopping today. But that's pretty impressive for me. I'm the kind of person that will shop right up til Christmas, even if I'm "done". I don't think I will this year, and I think stockings are even under control for once! Doesn't help that we have a college tuition payment due, yikes. Wrapping - not as good progress there. I did good thanksgiving weekend and wrapped most everything I had since I had my tree up. I've only wrapped maybe 4 things since. Gotta work on that today. I always have to wait til later on some things, while I'm deciding what will be wrapped and what will be left from santa, ans making sure the boys have even presents to open. Sometimes things have to be combined to make that happen. Know what still isn't wrapped though? The first 6 presents I bought on Prime Day in July! For my nieces, and wasn't sure if to combine anything until I bough nephews (which is what I'm picking up today). I really do make things hard on myself. Baking - oh heck no. I picked up most ingredients earlier in the week when I baked cookies for work party. But of course not everything, and things have been added to the list. So shopping trip today, then I'll get busy. I'm off work this week so that will help. I am going to have to make a double batch of buckeyes though (and my recipe I think is already like 3 batches!), so I'm not really looking forward to that!

Oh boo.

It's been 6 years since I had an 11yo boy, I can't remember that far back. But, my nephew just turned 12. On his list was air soft guns, video games, laptop like his sister's, socks, skittles (he got several big bags!), a hoodie, and a fire proof safe. I love kids' lists.
