Wow! What a proud mom moment!! That was so great of your son.

We're very lucky I guess. My MIL and FIL always put money in our kids college account (Christmas and birthdays) and then get them one or two gifts to open. They usually don't ask for suggestions on that gift, but pick something and then ask if we think they would like/want it before they get it. This year it's a bike. Our kids are still pretty little so they're usually happy with anything. My parents usually ask for an idea and then get some stuff on their own too.

I'm like this as well. The whole season is really stressful for me. I try every year not to let it get to me, but it always does. I think it all started being like this for me when my brother passed away on Christmas Eve 10 years ago this year.

I don't see that the retiring patterns are on sale on the Vera website. I see the free shipping and free gift. Do I need a code? Thanks! Nevermind :) I just needed to update my cart!

Awesome. Thanks for the info on the warehouse sale. I'm only about an hour or so from Ft. Wayne. One more question for you.....the advance tickets....how do you find out when they go on sale or where to get them?

Okay, I know these bags rarely go on sale, but I was told they do when they retire a pattern/style of bag. I have recently become quite obsessed with these and I MUST have more I saw at the mall one of the stores had the retiring stuff for 25% off. Does anyone know if these ever go lower or should I pounce on this deal?

I don't even want to talk about it. I still don't have my tree up, I've hardly got anything baked, still have quite a bit to wrap....ick!

I already thanked my SS, but I thought I'd post in here too :) I finally got to pick up my package from the post office last Friday. I got an adorable snowman nutcracker. I just love it! :) It's sitting on my kitchen counter right now. My SS also sent teen titan dolls for my little boys. I thought that was so thoughtful for her to think of them! The kids love them and have been putting them in a couple of their cars and riding them around. :) Thanks again!!! :) I'd also be happy to be an elf if needed!

Wow. I would never do that, but if I had my husband would have been TICKED!!! My husband usually asks for a list. He hasn't done that this year, which has me a bit curious...

WOOOHOOOO! :) My mail lady just came and brought me my box with my ornament(s). I love them!!! One is a stocking with a snowman and candy canes sticking out of it and it's all glittery, one is a metal reindeer that is just totally unique and I don't even know how to describe it :) and the other is a santa face that looks like it is made out of clay. The santa has LOTS of detail!! I really love them all. Thank you so much for the effort you put into them for me!!! :) I'm not real sure why the mail lady didn't bring my SS package with her today. I know it's there because she left a little note for me. I'm hoping to get to the post office myself tomorrow to pick it up!

I don't have to deal with this fortunately. The only people we have to buy for are my parents, hubby's parents, his sister and her family, my aunt and uncle and our kids. I also buy for a couple friends, but I don't have anyone that I don't like that I feel the need to buy for.

I saw a commercial too, but not really any details.

My husband doesn't bug me about what I've bought him. He's really pretty good. I think I'd rather wait too. I didn't used to be like that though :) I used to snoop....big time! Now though, I want the surprise :)

AHHHHHH! No. I hadn't even thought about it too much!! I haven't even got my tree up. Much less got all of the gifts brought up out of the basement to start wrapping..or baking started.....I guess I'd better get started on SOMETHING this evening.

I really hate giving other people ideas too. The only one that doesn't bother me so much is my husband. What I hate even more than making wish lists is opening presents!

Oh my!! How is your husbands dad doing with it? I think I'd still be in the freaking out zone! I'm so glad he's okay!!!!

It IS driving me nuts!!!! I'm going to have to wait yet another day...I was going to venture out this morning to go to the post office, but it's really foggy out here today. I hate to take the kids out when the weather isn't too great

Oh no! lol....the mail lady left me another note .....my other package came and they're both at the post office! I guess it's better that they are safe rather than hanging on my mailbox out by the road, but I want them! I will post again once I've been able to go pick them up!

Well......I think I was SUPPOSED to get one of my packages yesterday. The mail lady couldn't get down our drive because it's covered in snow so she left a note to pick it up at the post office. But...my husband had to work today so he couldn't go get it for me and I don't want to drag my boys out in the snow I hope to get it early next week!! It's killing me knowing I have something sitting at the post office! lol... I just wanted to let whoever is waiting on me to say something that I'm not just being a snob :)

I'm not in italics, but I have already mailed out. My ornament person has gotten hers already and my ss should get it any day now. (was sent Monday night) Oops....my ss is in italics. Just not the ornament, which is no biggie. I know she received it :)

Wow! I used to make cards for birthdays and stuff, but I never got enough ambition to make Christmas cards for everyone....much less this many people!!! I know that's time consuming. I haven't even got to see them yet and I love them already too! :)

Ahh! I just found the card that was supposed to go in my SS box!!!

I just saw some of these m&m type smarties at World Market last night. I had picked them up and thought about getting some for stocking stuffers, but wasn't sure how they would be.

I got my ss sent out this evening. I was wondering if I was ever going to get it out! :) Hopefully the recipient will get it in a couple days ! :) I got lots more cards in the mail today! I haven't had a chance to open them yet, but thank you everyone!!
