  1. The $199 emachines from Walmart has held up for me pretty well. I bought my son and I both one on Black Friday almost 2 years ago and both still work great. So far no problems with either one.
  2. I am sooo with you on this. My kids don't appreciate the things they get as much as they should. Why? Because they know thier gonna get what they ask for. They get way too much and half of it doesn't get used or played with. I have a 16 year old. Most 16 year olds ask for clothes and such. Mine has never asked for clothes for Christmas. Again why? Because he knows he's gonna get clothes whenever I see sales online from Hollister, Aeropostale, American Eagle etc. and that's quite often. They are way too spoiled. Whatever big gift they ask for, they get. Well, they pretty much get everything they ask for Christmas. I really think I'm gonna put a limit on it this year, well hopefully. As far as the relavtives, I 'm with you on this too. I always stress myself out over trying to find the perfect thing for them. Something thier in to or collect, a favorite of some sort. Brothers and thier wives always get 3 or 4 presents each from us. All of which is something that I really put thought into. I just like to see everyone happy at Christmas but I really need to change things a bit.
  3. Yeah, out Big Lots always has thier Christmas stuff out way early too. I'm never shocked by that at all but seeing Walmart's out yesterday was somewhat of a shock. I kind of figured it though as I was just telling DH the other day that Wally had thier Halloween stuff in a different section this year and that I bet they were saving thier usual section for early Christmas stuff. You know Walmart wants to have it out before layaway starts because they know peeps are gonna be in the Christmas shopping mood while placing items in layaway.
  4. Just came from Walmart and they have put Christmas stuff out.
  5. I love Christmas music. Can't wait for Sounds of The Season to start it on the music channels.
  6. I start my holiday shopping for the following year the day after Christmas.
  7. Walmart had netbooks on sale last year right before BF for $179. I think there was 5 different colors to choose from. May have them cheaper this year.
  8. Teacup piglets maybe? I know last year the teacup piggies were really hot and hard to find. Just saw the piglets and the teacup doggies/puppies for the first time yesterday and they were soooo cute. I also agree with the smurfs too.
  9. I bought some from Amazon but only used them for a couple of days. A couple of days after purchasing, I was watching Dr. OZ and his show was all about it that day. There were some ladies on there that had a bad experience with it such has hair loss, migraines etc. I myself, did not have this happen but again, I only used them for a couple of days. Your supposed to follow the 500 calorie diet with it. I think with most diets, especially 500 calorie, your going to have some negative side effects. I don't see how one can go on 500 calories but the thing was that the first 2 days of taking the drops were also your "loading" days. The first 2 days you were supposed to eat as much as you possibly could of very fattening foods so that it could be stored once you started the 500 calories to keep you going. Theres alot of info on the net about this, some bad and some good. I have read alot of success stories though but 500 calories does seem dangerous. Talk to your doctor to see what he thinks, he may even prescribe hcg injections. Buying off the internet, you don't know really know what your getting. I did buy from a merchant on Amazon that had a lot of great reviews but still................ Would be safer to check with your doctor first.
  10. With the Keurig, from the time it took to heat the water it took a couple of minutes but the instruction manual that came with it said that it would take around 4 minutes. With the Tassimo, the water is heated and pouring in my cup within 30 seconds. I will say though that the water is not as hot as it was with the Keurig.
  11. I bought a Keurig last week and have since taken it back. I purchased a Tassimo instead and absolutely love it. The Keurig was fine except there was a couple of times that I only got very little coffee and I mean very little. Don't know if I was doing something wrong or what but it only happened a time or two. The reason why I took it back was because of the coffee selection. Now where I live, you only have Walmart,Kmart and a grocery store or two to choose from. None of those had much of a selection for the Keurig. I love different types of coffees/flavored coffees. It just wasn't worth it to me to have this $130 machine and have to order the coffees online in order to get a variety. The Tassimo however had a much better selection available in my local stores. It was cheaper too along with cheaper coffees. I love the Suchards hot chocolate and so does the kids. The Starbucks latte primo is wonderful as well as the Maxwell House cappucino. Both of the latte primo and cappucino come with creamers which are t discs intead of k cups. So far these are the only flavors that I have tried and love them all. With the Tassimo, you have coffee within seconds while with the Keurig it took a couple of minutes. My only complaint is the Tassimo is a bit louder than the Keurig but no big deal. Once you register it online, you get to choose 2 different packages of coffee or tea for free and they will send it to you. So far, loving the Tassimo.
  12. Anyone have a new free shipping code? FREE2010 no longer works.
  13. Thanks, got this plus more for my angel tree girl.
  14. Walmart was as crazy as ever. Didn't get much. Dh got one video game but wanted more. He befriended someone who was gonna get him a couple but that person was only able to grab the one. It was total chaos with the video games once the sale started. People were shoveling the games in their buggies without even looking to see if they wanted that game or not. Some lady standing beside me at the printers said she was shoved to the ground and got her hair pulled over the 1.33 towels. I had heard some talking about a guy got a vaccume cleaner thrown at his face. Sure enough when dh went to the bathroom, there was a man in there cleaning blood off his face. People after the tvs, laptops etc. got thier wristbands around 2am and were free to leave and come back, roam the store or whatever( I did not like this approach). Store emplyees walked around all night handing out doughnuts, hershey kisses and 5 hour energy shots (could be one reason why everybody was acting so damn crazy). I was able to get the wireless printer, 3 straight talk phones, coats and clothes for my angel tree kids, pjs for hubby and ds and the one video game. Went to Kmart afterwards. It wasn't too bad except for the sale items not ringing up right at checkout. Kmart should have had all of this taken care of before the sale started but thats Kmart for ya. Got hubby a dallas cowboys snuggie(14.99 but was ringing up 29.99), more clothes for my angel tree kids and thats about it. I pretty much had all of my shopping done prior to Black Friday thanks to all of the great deals that have been posted on gottadeal lately.
  15. Yeah, I knew it was going to be cold when we left Walmart, thats why I wore a white thermal under my t-shirt.
  16. Wore mine to Walmart. Can not even begin to tell you how many people came up to me asking me where such and such items were going to be located. They thought my shirt was a walmart shirt and that I worked there. I totally forgot to take a picture. I told hubby after we left last night that I had wanted to take a pic and post it on Gottadeal.
  17. Just wondering, what size do you wear, lol? I have a very small foot and was thinking that I could probably wear a youths shoe but not sure what size to get. How did you figure out a good fit for you in youth?
  18. Stay away from the Slap Chop, those things are nothing but junk. I bought one, tried it out and threw it in the garbage. I was going to suggeest a Fushigi also. Got ds one for Christmas but don't know much about it as it is already wrapped up. They do look really cool on t.v. though.
  19. Thanks!! Just got DD a pair of Nike's shipped for $22.50

    Angel Tree

The tree at ouir local Walmart is from the Salvation Army. There is always a shoe size, shirt size, pant size, coat size etc. and then they have something down for thier interests. The girl that I picked just said "girly stuff, dress up" for her interest. The boy that I picked had sports and basketball for his interest, this along with all of the sizes that they need. I don't think thats asking for much at all. I did see one that had xbox listed as his interest but I honestly think that when his parents wrote that down, they probably meant xbox related stuff. I mean, most kids wouldn't ask for an xbox, if anything, they would probably ask for an xbox 360 right?
  21. My granny was very old fashioned but one movie that she really loved was Dirty Dancing. It was so funny when she found out that it was going to be coming on. My mom would always tease her about Patrick Swayze but granny would deny it every time. We know she secretly had a crush on him. She passed away in 2002 and when I read this thread title, it brought back memories and made me laugh just thinking about it. Not so sure your granny would like Dirty Dancing though, lol. I was thinking Hope Floats too.
  22. I do mine exactly like you Buckeye Shopper, step by step.
  23. I have used different fruits as well and they are all yummy.
