  2. I love this and do it every yr...saw some actual boo kits at the small mart this weekend(typically we do the photo copy and buy our own bags) but opted to do both this yr(kits from wal mart & use our photo copies) since we wanted to "boo" neighbors,2 parents on our football team(we do this at practice) and it is a service project for the pta at our childrens school where we "boo" 2 teachers.... what did you put in your sacks? we do candy, popcorn balls, erasers etc... this is such a blast!

  6. we hang ours on our front door which slowly becomes a beautiful holiday decoration-I always hate taking down the cards, the children even fight over who will hang the next card we get in the mail....ahhhh I love the holidays!
  7. We do the salvation army's angel tree and the OU sooners tree-I feel like it's so important our children learn about giving, especially during the holidays-our soft spot is/are other children that are our childrens ages and seeing what they write down for gifts-our children are always amazed that they usually ask for the necesities, gloves, hat, scarves etc...we always try and find an age appropriate toy or game to go with what they asked for. Also there always seems to be a family at one of our childrens schools that need some help during the holidays-so we do a ding dong ditch santa with a basket of family goodies...it's not much but we do try and do our part to help others out...
  8. when we did real trees we always put an aspirin in it to make it last which worked, also, trimming the trunk of a tree helps -to many alergies to pine needles has made us get a fake tree but I sure do miss the smell of a real tree, I just cant take it- aaaachhhooooo

  19. we play Christmas Bingo-which is essintially Christmas themed bingo cards or 42 which is a dominoe game kinda like spades.
  20. we put everything in the attic-the one place they refuse to go. My children are such snoops!
  21. we typically give a gc of some sort to the teacher or if we know of special likes we will do a themed gift basket. As far as music,pe,art,nurse,principle-we always give a Christmas card and a small gift like cups decorated with their name and what they teach filled with candy or Like rockfordmom suggested an ornament. I can tell you those teachers are left out so we do try and get them a lil something.
  22. Last Christmas I got my dd(at the time she has just turned 13) a ring watch-my other dd who is 9 wanted it, unfortunately I only bought one-thats all i have heard from my youngest dd is I want a ring watch....my dd got lots of compliments on hers and no one else had one so for her that made it extra special. Perfumes were a huge hit around here as well.
  23. Kandy this is what we do also-I think our kiddos look forward to thier new ornament just as much as gifts-a couple yrs ago they started getting me ornaments so my tree wont be bare when they growup and move out.
