Snickerdoodles have become my signature cookie. Recipe can be found here: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Mrs-Siggs-Snickerdoodles/Detail.aspx INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup shortening 1 1/2 cups white sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons cream of tartar 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons white sugar 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon DIRECTIONS: 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). 2. Cream together butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, the eggs and the vanilla. Blend in the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded spoonfuls into balls. 3. Mix the 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon. Roll balls of dough in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. 4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until set but not too hard. Remove immediately from baking sheets.

I did get it to work on that one jacket I wanted. The problem the tab for the regular Back Country site was selected, not the Outlet. I'm not sure how it happened, but it did. Make sure you have at least $50 of merchandise for the free shipping.

One of my jackets is only marked down 10% right now but when I add the code, it's not taking any additional discounts. It was earlier but it's not anymore. I should have been more specific in my previous post. I clicked on the chat now to talk with a rep and this is what she said: "but unfortunately we can not discount north face gear any more then they are already marked down" So, get it while you can. They must not realize it's working on North Face items...

Okay, now that I'm where I can actually submit the order, the code is invalid. ETA - Now it's working but it's not taking an additional discount off the sale prices. I guess I'll just wait and try it later tonight.

That must only be valid with a Company Store credit card. When I tried using my VISA, it told me 'The credit card type you have chosen is not valid with this offer'.

I held out last year for a good deal on Black Friday. I was disappointed. I don't think they marked them down at all. They just had bundles. Maybe it will be different this year, though.
