  1. I think you should be stuck with the $400 TV.
  2. Walmart gave the secrets to Michael Richards and he could not handle the power of it all and went into another fit of rage..........can you handle it? :gdparanoid:
  3. They have an online thread started right now, but it does not look too good. I am hopeful that the deals will come in in a day or so. The problem with some online deals are that you can't be at two places at one time. I will be at Bestbuy, so thursday online shopping is more practical for me.
  4. Perhaps this is something they should consider. It might revolutionize the way business is done. Imagine coupons validated by email traffic, and offers available only through their their locale. You just have to be within range to rake the deals in.
  5. good post! I am awaiting the sleeping giant......Walmart!:)
  6. That would also be nice if the Fast food joes would offer black friday meal deals!
  7. The wife says that i don't need it, but there it is, staring at me........................available!
  8. Does anyone know if any retailer will offer this outside of their stores? It would sound like a sound marketing plan if you could connect to the internet to shop any online deals before the opening if you were camped out. You could effectively be at two places at one time. I realize that in order for this to work, the deals would have to be offered before 5AM.
  9. How about Target for no pressure sales? We went there last year because it was last on our list, and at 5PM they had everything we were looking for! Plentiful pallets of unsold items were probably the result of an unsuccessful ad campaign, overpurchasing, or angst against the French owners of the corporation. With the lack of deals, I predict that Target may be the late afternoon stop for non-pressure shopping again this year!
  10. How about a federal mandate that no item can be released with limited intent, in order to drive up sales and hype? Perhaps then we will not see any more shootings over video games, or riots that are primarily the cause of bad security/planning.
  11. Don't risk getting in harm's way just for socks. There are a lot of crazy people shooting each other for silly games. You may find what you want online this year and save yourself the trouble.
  12. How large will the blast Zone be around you when you go up?
  13. Bestbuy allows campers with tents. (according to management)They welcome it, and frown on the store responsible for letting law enforcement fine each camper for the PS3 $400 for pitching a tent. a tent is an absolute must up north, especially where there is no overhang to get out of the weather. (I am a transplanted yankee!)
  14. there is a ds and a ds lite. not sure of the difference, but it is my guess that the screen functions are different. the psp is a great item, and there is a deal at target for this item with a gift card.
  15. The $30 dvd player at bestbuy should be the number one target for this reason.....it has DIVX included for the same price. For those not familiar with DIVX, it allows you to watch movies that have been downloaded from the internet in the comfort of your livingroom! Divx takes video and compresses it so that a 4gig video is now 700mb, and storable on a single cd. The video quality is still outstanding, and your TV shows purchased through the internet can be burned to a single dvd for archiving, watching, whatever you need these files for. I only wish a divx player was in the portable section! Now that you have a taste of what Divx can do, go get one and double your fun!
  16. If you want deals from tiger, look to Amazon, who in turn goes to them for their providing stockage. If you are like me, and you are from a state where Tiger has a presence, then you have to pay state sales tax, along with shipping charges which they dictate. A little known fact is that they ship most of their items from a warehouse in Illinois! By getting items from Amazon, you basically get some of tiger direct's stockage minus these mandatory charges!
  17. Yeah, the Hawking broadband booster had two rebates on it. the second came in late last month! This was a Compusa deal from the last black friday!
  18. Sometimes a retailer will advertise a very low price for a product but have only limited quantities in stock. If the item is out of stock or the competitor has limited quantities of an item, it is not eligible for price matching. Likewise, if Best Buy has a product that is advertised as being limited in quantity it will not be eligible for price matching. there, enough said, they will not pricematch a limited quantity item!
  19. save the confusion and go with the rest of us to bestbuy!
  20. Switch service, hahahahaha! It will cost you unless the timing is right. Good point though. It is all in the timing....especially waiting for the $200.
  21. If not for the dual whammy of the rebate laden product, crossed with the promise of $200 off (not really, you must wait), it would have been a hit out of the park. Unfortunately, they appear to be the biggest loser this year since the cash outlay is way too high, in comparison to Best Buy. What a gosh awful shame....shame on you CompuCrap.
