What happened 2 years ago? This is my first year shopping Kohls for Black Friday?

I've got my cart loaded and ready to go. I'll definitely be waiting up for this one.

I heard the commercial this morning and I swear I heard a 42" Vizio TV for $499 but I can't find anything online about it. Starts Saturday at 11:00 (i'm central)

I'm thrilled to hear this. Hubby will be there to put a laptop on layaway for our oldest daughter on the day they start.

I've started buying for my youngest and know what I am getting for hubby and oldest.

I'm hoping walmart does the $50 Itunes card for $35 again this year.

I'm not going after any of the 5am doorbusters, so I'll hit Walmart around 11:30, then home for a few hours before heading out to get in line at 3 am at our local mall.

Unless the last couple of ads have some surprises, I may be sitting Black Friday out this year.

Just got back from Wally with my Itunes cards. No problems with them at all. There was a line for the deals though.

My oldest was 9 when she started going with me. I live in a very small town so it's relatively safe. I warned her multiple times what it would be like and she was pretty terrified at first, she just sat back and watched. Now she gets in there and grabs doorbusters with the best of them. She's 12 and it's become our tradition. My youngest is almost 8 and I would never take her, it would be a very bad idea.

I was at Walmart in a different state last year and it was great. We were allowed to put non big-ticket items in our carts and get in line. We weren't supposed to check out until 5am, but some brilliant person in front of me at self check out tried it, and it worked. We were out of there by around 4am.

Don't we hear this rumor every year?

I have the Christmas Story village that I keep on my mantle away from little hands and big dog paws. I've kept one of my "cheaper" sets under my Christmas tree. Santa doesn't put packages out at my house until Christmas Eve so it was a cute place to display and out of the way.

My daughter bought it and is playing it right now.

I started out at Old Navy at 2 and actually got a wristband for the game, BUT, when I walked in the store and took my gloves off the wristband went flying and I didn't notice, so I didn't get that. Got to Walmart a little after 3 and around 3:30 they actually unwrapped the pallets for non big-ticket items. I was able to get the things I wanted, went through self check out and was gone by 4:30. After a quick stop at Belks, I was home and in bed by 5:30. Although I guess I will be going out a little later to other stores.

I was able to get the touch deal today too.

I went in and bought it today. I was told that they were notified at 11 pm last night that it is part of their secret sale for today.

I called my walmart last night and they said they are not doing that and they are not letting you get the itouch until 5 am.

I called my store to see and was told that I could not purchase it until 5:00.
