  1. i also use the under armour website and go to their outlet section. ive found good looking shoes for around $30-$40 for my 10yr old son. plus tshirts, shorts and coldweather gear....some of it under $20. it is touch and go, but definitely worth checking out!
  2. woo hoo! received an email late last night that my order scheduled for delivery 12/8-12/13 has been shipped!!
  3. 2 more items.......and hoping my packages from kohl's come on time =/
  4. im also waiting for a package that arrival date was listed as 12/8 - 12/13. still in the fulfillment status. for those of you with kohl's shipping experience, i understand that you say its slow. but, does it usually arrive by their deadline? i have another package set for arrival between 12/15 - 12/20. and im starting to get worried!
  5. :) awesome! thanks for sharing :)
  6. my kids usually end up with 10-12 gifts each from us. the last few years we have had them buy for each other. so thats another 3 gifts each to open. and i would guess maybe another 10-12 gifts from grandparenst and/or aunts n uncles. so total they would come close to 30 presents each. but NOT just from us!!
  7. i havent tried any of the recipes yet. but i have used the homemade christmas project ideas for my girl scout troop and the school parties! =)
  8. i am lucky that my kids (ds10 and dd8) have never been snoopers. they love surprises....no matter how big or small. i usually try to wrap as i go, using certain wrapping paper for each child. i dont put name tags on them. we dont have much "hidden" storage at our house so the smaller stuff gets put in the furnace room and/or the tote that all of our christmas decorations go in. and the bigger stuff usually gets stored at a family members home.
  9. really? not till november. =( for some reason i thought last year it was mid-october. oh well, i will wait =)
  10. we will be spending slightly less for what goes under the tree. but we are taking the kids on a surprise mini vacation the day after christmas. so in total we will be spending more. but having a great time on vacation!
  11. im also looking for 2 laptops. on the "deal of the day" page it shows an offer thru besy buy for a toshiba laptop. to me looks like a good laptop for 279.99. anyone else have thoughts on this one?
  12. ive had a hard time w/this in the past too! a lot of our family lives in the same town. but we are closer with some than others. ive always tried to make sure that all my neices and nephews recieved gifts from us. but some of them, it was becuz of that obligation feeling. not becuz i necessarily wanted to get them anything..........or for that matter even knew WHAT to get them. we dont all get together for one big exchange, we visit individually. which helps somewhat, becuz none of the kids know what we bought the others. im not even sure if we are going to buy for anyone this year. its become a frusterating situation =/
  13. we have one boy and one girl at home. only 1 1/2 years apart. my husband and i always start out with a budget. in years past, i have always made sure they had the same number of gifts under the tree. ive wrapped items together and have also opened packages and wrapped things seperate, just to get it to all even out. now that the kids are getting older, and asking for more expenise things, we have agreed to a $ amount per child. but i still find myself rearranging the lists ive made to make sure they will have the same number of gifts. as for making the list. i let the kids make their wish list (did this 2 weeks ago). i will go through and create my list from theirs. each of my kids list goes on an index card i keep in my purse. its small, close at hand, and its safe becuz "mommys purse is OFF limits". of course there are always things they want to add on to their wish list. so i leave it on the fridge. i draw a line under neath where there original list stopped, that way it is easy for me to see when/what they have added.
  14. just got my paper delivered!! super excited to have the ads in my hand!!!
  15. i just googled "orange nintendo dsi" there are other links that came up. but that is the only one w/actual image and so forth. didnt even realize it was a BF only link. lol
  16. found the orange dsi. sears has it. hope its ok to post the link. if not sorry =( http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05893052000P?prdNo=23
  17. we dont have delivery on thanksgiving. so we get our ads in wednesdays paper =)
  18. we let each of our 3 kids make a list of the top 10 things they want. my youngest (dd7) list is complete. ds9 hasnt even started..well not on paper anyways. he keeps telling me "oh i want that" but hasnt written anything down. the oldest (dd14) just wants clothes from her favorite stores...nothing specific. somewhat funny is my dd7 list. some items are: a cell phone for when im 10 (this is the agreed upon age in our house), a laptop for when im 10 (no set rule on this), a red christmas tree, and a BIG barbie house.....she doesnt play w/barbies and they arent on her list......maybe i should ask what this is for???
  19. we just started last week. im about 1/2 done for each of my younger two. our teenage daughters shopping will be done by this time next week. hoping to see some ads soon so i can buy more!!!
  20. when i was younger i remember several xmas that we were not home. and looking back, i loved being on a trip as much as being at home. we did the same nite time routine at the hotel as we would do at home. you can bake cookies ahead of time to take w/you for santa......or as i remember santa was just fine with oreos and/or chips ahoy. LOL. and honestly, i didnt even realize it till i was older that we recieved less presents when we were on trips. it was the excitement of being away.....and still having santa bring us gifts. i live in illinois.....and none of my other friends got to open presents xmas morning and then go swimming at the pool!! LOL to me the holiday are what you make of it, wether you are home or away =)
