im hoping for a really good sale at justice. my daughter just showed me these gawd awful purple fur boots she 'has to have". i dont care for them AT ALL, therefore dont really want to spend the $30+ on them =/

when i attend family get togethers, all holiday meals are early afternoon....1p-3p. im guessing it is due to family from out of town that would have to travel home afterwards. but when its just us at home, i really prefer to keep it closer to our normal dinner time 630ish.

my aunt started something similar to this with her kids. she calls it the "santa bill" and the kids seem to understand it pretty well.

oh wow those corral boots are pretty pricey...for me anyways. they are nice looking boots, but most of the trendy/stylish boots i see the girls wear (riders, farmers, or not) are the justin gypsy boots or the ariat fatbaby. again, it all could be relative to whats popular where you live too. ***i was looking at the adult boots for corral. which are MUCH more expensive than adult justin boots. however, i see where the kids boots are similar in price to each other. ***

hmmm. my son must be the odd one then. he always asks for new shirts or hoodies. and its not like we dont get him new stuff for school. i dont know, over the last year he has become very "label" conscience. so his shirts/hoodies all have to be hollister or shaun white.

my son is 11, also very into video games, and this is what his list consists of: under armour socks 3-4 xbox 360 games xbox controller shoes this is what he's getting: ipod touch itunes card 3 pr jeans 3 shirts/hoodies underarmour socks 1 xbox 360 game xbox 360 controller baseball bag....to carry all his equipment shoes we do not go over board on stockings. it will be a large candy bar (bigger than king size), hollister or axe body spray, hair gel, watch, and a candy cane. if it doesnt look "full" i will stick an apple in the toe of the stocking.

after seeing the cowboy boots thread. i just added a pair to the list for ME!!!!

ohhhh.....and DONT guess on the size!! cowboy boots fit differently than any other type of shoe or boot.

justin brand boots are what we buy!! and i agree....you can tell the "real deal" cowboy boots from the fakes. my 9 1/2 yr old daughter can tell the difference, and she just got her first pair last february. lol definitely check out any type of farming and/or tractor supply co. store. or justin's itself has b&m stores. the best we've found is $10 off. good luck!!

so to get the "latest and greatest" i will be spending at least $100 more than originally planned. BUT it will have a bigger memory, so in the end will still be worth it, im sure! now i just cross my fingers that some where will be offering a decent gift card w/the purchase, hopefully making the $100 price difference some what less!!

up until last year the closest walmart was 30 minutes away. our closest mall w/target is approx 45 minutes. so i have always made sure to have a sitter, becuz there is no "just run home" option for cranky, hurt or scared kids. last year i did not have a sitter and our walmart had only been open maybe 2 months and i was expecting it to be a mad house. so i waited till about 9 (when i could get a sitter) and went to pick up what i could. to my surprise there was still a pretty good selection. this year my kids are old enough to be at home alone for a couple of hours, so i wont be taking them. i agree with previous posters who have said its not the maturity of your children you should be concerned with. its the lack of maturity shown by adults that freaks me out!!

i just started today! was totally unplanned....but my walmart had something on clearance.....and in the cart it went!!!

well.....i have to revise this by saying we will be spending more this year. just planned a trip!!!

i hear ya!! we are looking for 2 this year.

so there will NOT be a 5th generation at the 8gb? but the 5th generation bigger gb will have a gift card? and we are thinking that the 4th generation will drop lower than the advertised $175 price shown now.....and possibly come with a gift card? sorry for all the questions. and i know nothing is definite till the ads come out. this is the first year we are looking for the ipod touches, so just trying to get a good idea of how it will work this year.

there are really no big/pricey items on my kids wish list. but they both want ipod touches. so im hoping that i can get a nice gift card or itunes card with the purchases of each of those. kids are getting older, so wish lists and shopping has become kind of boring.

2 weeks ago we had the kids start on making their lists. my ds has 4 items and my dd has 10...and that took her almost a week to get to that number. this past sunday my hubby and i reviewed the kids wish lists and made our "master list". which in my eyes is subject to change. lol. not so much in the hubby point of view.

we will probably be spending less. the past few years we have done a trip over christmas or shortly after the holiday. no trip planned = less money spent this year, which i should be happy about. but, im really hoping we can plan a trip within the next few weeks!

i have ds11 and dd9. last time ds asked for a toy was approx 3 yrs ago, and that was for a lego kit, which i didnt really classify as a "toy". now my dd still asks for a barbie, moxie girl or monster high doll at random. but this year on their lists is ipod touch, clothes, shoes/boots, and not much of anything else. well dd asked for a play dough dentist set....another random item for her.

wow! just got 2 emails saying that my packages (ordered seperatly) originally scheduled for arrival mid to late NEXT week have been shipped =) i can relax a bit now!
