  1. I am so tempted to buy this. My son really wants a dsi. I wonder if by chance somebody might have this on line. I really don't want to drag myself out of bed just for one or two things.
  2. We told our children they could ask for five gifts this year. I am so tired of wasting money. DD 17: Digital camera (already purchased) shirt from Hot Topic New Glasses (it's not a need, but a want because her other pair don't need to be replaced) Skullcandy headphones (this may be an "extra gift" from mom and dad) Coraline DS: 9 (he's a tough one) Wii games (already purchased) Skullcandy headphones (again, "extra gift") Legos (dh is going to buy these because he knows what ds wants) Nintendo DSI (not sure yet, still on the fence) ? ? My mom: Cricut cartridges My sisters and I are supposed to be making her a photo album Possibly 1/4 of a pig (sounds odd, but she loves this!) DH's Mom: Not a clue! Possibly 1/4 of a pig (she loves this gift also) 12 Nieces and Nephews: So far I picked up 2 Memory games for the little ones.
  3. My son asked for stilts one year. Santa came through, and he still loves them. This year he wants a book. The Guinness Book of World Records 2010. He has borrowed the 2009 version from the library countless times. This comes from a kid who doesn't like to read.
  4. I bought my nephews the Memory games (Spongebob and Toy Story) for $3.99 that are on sale at Kmart. They are 3 and 4 years old. They have several other preschool games for $3.99 as well.
  5. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! My kids wanted the green lowrider headphones. They aren't part of the 60% off sale. 50% makes it doable. ETA: 47.07 for two pair shipped! Thanks again, my kiddos will be over the moon!
  6. That's a bummer. Did you ask an associate about it? Sometimes I luck out that way. Didn't appear that they had the item, but lo and behold they had some in the back.
  7. 0% at our house too. My daughter (17) has had her laptop for over a year now. Maisey, Sorry to hear you have had such a run of bad luck with them.
  8. Bummer!!! Thanks for the info, and thank you to the OP for this. :)
  9. I have a dumb question, but I will ask anyway. Is there a way to purchase two of the same games?
  10. Crossing my fingers there might be a deal on a PS2 system this year. My daughter wants one in the worst way.
  11. DD16: Hits: Borders gift card, Sansa Fuze (replaces the ipod that died), sketch pads, clothes, Jack Skellington gloves, cashews (asks for them every year), make up, Guitar Hero DS. Misses: None DS8: Hits: Razor scooter, video rocker, Legos Mars Mission, cars, Spy Gear Atv 360 (gift from the inlaws), Mario Kart DS, Guitar Hero DS. Misses: K'nex dump truck. It does not stay together. He was so disappointed.
  12. Thanks for the heads up. At least I know I really haven't missed much. I was planning on going sometime this coming week to see if there were any sales. The front page of my Kmart ad states that they are have a clearance sale this week. I may just wander over there. Our WM has been insane lately so I have stayed away.
  13. UGH!!!!!!! I just bought 2 of these on Amazon for 6.99 each.
  14. Thank you. I am assuming that we can only do this deal once since it says one per household?
  15. My sister, sister-in-law, and I are going there in a couple of weeks. I am thrilled. For those that visit regularly, I have a question. Do they have much for an 8 1/2 year old boy? He is still into his Hot Wheels, trucks, etc. Thank goodness.
  16. {{{SIGH}}} I wish they had more stuff for boys too. There isn't much to choose from. My son could really use some shirts. He is hitting another growth spurt. He will grow out of his shirts in about a month.
  17. We usually use our closet and the basement. The kids are not allowed in our closet without permission. Dh has all of his tools (he's a contractor) in the basement. He cleverly hides things within his tools etc. Last year he hid stuff under a bunch of his canvas drop cloths. The kids never knew it was there. Luckily for us, our daughter is 16. She doesn't like to ruin her surprises, so she stays away from things. Our son is 8 1/2. He is the one that we have to keep at bay. So far, we have done a pretty good job. Is is possible for you to lock your bedroom closet or bedroom door? What about leaving them at a relatives house? That might be the easiest way.
  18. Thank you. I am most definitely bringing it back. Our Walmart is famous for putting things back on the floor like this. No wonder why the thing beeped when I went to walk out the door.
  19. I got one this morning for my nephew. It did not have the carrying case. I do have a question though. It says it includes a cd. Does it show the cd in the front near the guitar? I am asking because I just looked it over, and it almost looks like someone opened it. I see there are only a couple of the tamper resistant things inside. I think I am going to take this back and get another one. Darn it!
  20. It would not be 11.04 Doing the math in my head (assuming I did it right) it would be an additional 10% off of the difference, not the total price. It would roughly be $3.00 cheaper than amazon, plus your shipping. So, it would be about 36.99 plus shipping.
  21. Last year we bought ds (who was 6 at the time) an sp. His older sister got the ds. Big mistake on our part. All he talks about is getting a ds. He is saving his money for one. The little bugger has almost $70 saved up.
