  1. The Best gift I have ever gotten was four years ago. My husband was working out of state in Cali. He had been gone for a month and had recently been told he would not be able to come back for Christmas. We could not afford for the kids and me to fly there. It was very upseting because it was my sons first Christmas. @ days before Christmas we all got a wonderful surprise. I got a call from dh to hurry up and pack we had tickets waiting at the airport for a flight that evening. His boss felt bad for the fact that hubby was going to miss Christmas so he paid for the tickets for us as a Christmas bonus.:) The worst Christmas gift I ever got was a leather jacket from my mil. I don't wear fur or leather or anything like that. You would think she would know things like that by now.
  2. I do red and white. Peppermints, Mittens, and Snowman.:)
  3. I personally love them because the can be used as moist heat if you spray a little bit of water on them before putting them in the microwave. Whats nice about them is you can personalize them in any color or scent that would suit the person you are making it for. They are very cheap and easy to make. You can easiley use them to treat an array of symptoms with different oils. Lavender relaxes and relieves stress. Rosemary stimulates and sharpens the mind. Geranium reduces stress. Chamomile reduces stress. Clary sage is useful for relaxing. Sandalwood is good for insomnia and depression. Juniper berry is good for reducing anxiety and anger. Sweet marjoram is also good for reducing anxiety.
  4. I have made these before. They are aromatherapy heat wraps. You can use rice, dear corn or flax seed. If you use deer corn make sure to shake the bag out outdoors(sometimes there are yucky things in there). You can use essential oils, dried flowers and such to give them scent or to add a desired effect such as lavender for sleep or eucalyptus for cold and allergies. Just be sure that if the recipient has asthma or something similar you avoid anything that might make there symptoms worse. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/87649/homemade_gift_ideas_aromatherapy_rice.html This one has alot of ideas for kids to make there are different age ranges at the bottom. http://www.amazingmoms.com/htm/gifts_kids_make6-8.html http://notmadeofmoney.com/blog/2006/11/50-homemade-gift-ideas-from-around-the-web.html

  6. I have always waited until I came home on BF, but I am starting to think about doing it earlier this year. I am soooooooooo ready for hot chocolate, pepermint candles, and coldish weather (I live in Texas..we don't really get the whole snow thing). Oh and the clay mation kids movies...Gotta love those!! I am just a Christmas junkie, I admit it.
  7. For us Black Friday is Christmas kick off:D I come home and wrap everything. Then the kids and I star putting up all of the decorations and listening to Christmas music as soon as my sweet overworked husband can we go get our tree. I love Christmas!!!!! I would put up my decorations now if I could get away with it.
  8. If anyone lives in DFW Texas the Target on Eastchase Parkway & I30 has the one of the futons. They also still have alot of the dorm room stuff. I don't know what the prices are. I am new to this whole thing at Target and am unfamiliar with the DPI system everyone is talking about. But the products are there if anyone wants to check it out. Sorry I don't have more info on it.
  9. I that they are cuter. I picked up one for my daughter and my son(who is 2 and loves babies so we got him a boy). I have taken the newborns off of my list because I believe that they are smaller, and these move and giggle which makes them VERY CUTE! I opened one last night and they are still suprisingly soft. I think that my kids will love them!
  10. I haven't taken them out of the package, but they look do not look plastic at all...what I can feel throught the little hole is very soft. When (if) I take one out tonight I'll letcha know.
  11. I don't know if anyone would be intrested, but Target just came out with these for $16.87. The are a target exclusive limeted edition cabbage patch. They are really cute. When you squeeze them the laugh and their arms and legs move. I just got some for my nieces. The have them with the original yarn hair...and the cornsilk. Just so ya know around here they are flyin' off the shelves. Target also told me that they would adjust the prices if they become cheaper on B.F. .
  12. I haven't been able to find anything on google or anywhere else...but thanks!!:)
