  1. i just got an email from her saying ther will be a Magnavox 32" LCD HDTV for $699 and some off brand 32" LCD HDTV for $599 - also a 42" plasma (she thinks it was panasonic) for $1200 but she said that one said EDTV instead of HD - i don't know if that is right, i have never heard of EDTV:confused: At least she got a couple of tidbits out of him - i told her to work on desktop prices (since that is what i am looking for) and laptops - i am getting really excited
  2. They have only been married 3 yrs. and they don't have any kids so she doesn't have him very well trained yet:D LOL
  3. thank god for walmart supercenter!!!! We always used to stand outside for at least 3 hours in the snow and wind in the laurel highlands of PA and freeze - it was a great way to get to know people (by huddling under the blankets with strangers to share body heat, lol) but now with super wm we can shop for non blitz items and wait in the warm dry store. my one complaint is they should offer free coffee - they should have the coffee hostesses from Sheetz take orders from the folks waiting by the pallets and then deliver.
  4. i just talked to my friend who's hubby is the manager of BB down near Philly and she asked him about BF and he said he has a copy of the ad at his store!!!! She is trying all of her female powers of persuasion to either get a copy or at least a list of what is on sale and the price. All he has told her so far is they will have a killer deal on a large HD tv. He wouldn't tell her brand, exact size or price. ANYONE WHO WORKS AT BB DO SOME SEARCHING B/C there should be at least one copy of the ad hidden somewhere at your store. Hopefully she will be able to get some more details b4 the weekend is over.

    two way radios

i agree that they should not be used constantly for conversations... we use them for information like when we get what we need, meet in aisle # etc.. and for when we are ready to leave. We don't have nonstop conver. like you do on a cell phone:yup:

    two way radios

Dunham's and Dick's Sporting goods always have them on really cheap on BF LOL - not that it will do you any good early on in the morning at walmart - if you know any men who hunt turkey, most of them have a set of two ways they can lend you. just make sure you take extra batteries
  7. can you get doorbuster stuff if you shop online BF or are the special deals only in store?
  8. our walmart only price matches stores within a certain mileage too:(
  9. Home depot had some cute yard inflatables for 19.99 last year. i picked up a really nice 4 1/2 ft penguin that was much better made than the ones they were selling at wm

    two way radios

Does anyone else out there use two way radios to keep in touch with the rest of your group - or are we the only crazy ones that do? My husband uses them for hunting, so we started taking them since you don't need to use your minutes AND you don't have to dial any #s - you just push the button and talk
  11. Have him wear a hoodie with the large pocket on the front. it is perfect for keeping your ads in that you need for pricematching. of course he'll need a cell phone OR those two way radios work great and you don't have to waste your minutes
  12. if you are going to wal mart take someone who will get a cart and stay put towards the checkout while the rest of your group spread out and get the goodies and then bring them back to put in the cart. If you try pushing a cart it is really hard to get around b/c there are so many people. you will literally waste 1/2 hour just trying to get to the department and will miss the blitz stuff
  13. Boscov's, BonTon and Kauffman's always have % off coupons as well as doorbuster items but generally the coupons are only for items that are not on special sale already

    Nintendogs

keep an eye on cc. They had one of the nintendogs games for 19.99 last week. they will probably run it again. i bought my daughter the DS Nintendogs edition last year that came with all of the dogs on it (youjust had to unlock them) that is prob. where you heard you only had to unlock them, but this was only available with that special edition. The dalmation one is new and is the only one she doesn't have. these games are adorable and worth the price - they will play for hours with them and use it over and over:2dog:
  15. i can't see the pics very well, but am wondering if on the one page there is a nintendo ds lite bundle - what are the games incl'd and price?
  16. is there anything in that add about desktops?

    Sears and Kmart

I thought Sears and Kmart were owned by the same company? i saw Kmart is offering some Craftsman stuff on BF, but are they going to merge or what are they doing? I think it was a long time ago i saw Kmart got bought out and i thought by now something would have happened - has anyone heard anything about Sears' ad yet?
  18. When CC runs regular sales on PS2 games like Madden and NBA Live my local walmart pulls all of their stock from the shelf and tells people they are out of it until the sale is over. I know they aren't out b/c i used to work there and i asked my friend in electronics about it and she told me what they did. I asked if it was just when Madden was on sale, but she said no they do it with all of the popular games

    Charity and BF

Every BF after i get home from shopping my kids (now 9 and 11) go through their stuff and pick out 15 NICE things that they want to give to kids who don't have much - we take them to goodwill later that day. No crappy happy meal toys or stupid stuff either. My kids have a lot of stuff and have always been spoiled by both sets of gp and aunts and uncles so it is important to give back - This all began as a stipulation that if they didn't give nice toys Santa wouldn't bring nice toys. I also told my kids from the time they were little that mommy and daddy have to pay santa for everything he brings since they want things that come from store so that helped keep their lists reasonable and they also rank what they want so i know what they really really are looking forward to the most
  20. i buy gifts for everyone - immediate family, extended family, friends, coworkers, our pastor, kids from the angel tree, kids in africa, my girl scouts (i am a leader), my kids' bus drivers, teachers and sunday school teachers...LOL that sounds like a lot, but that's part of why i luv to shop BF b/c i can save lots and still get some really good stuff - although this year i am considering doing baskets (prob. small candle, some candy, cute christmas dishtowel or ornament, mug) for the teachers, pastors, etc. Are baskets well recieved as gifts, or do they seem cheap or cheesy?
  21. ALSO------Boscov's has layaway and does not charge a fee for any of you upset about walmart doing away with layaway:gdthums:
  22. we always go to breakfast at Denny's or Eat-n- Park b4 we start our shopping experience that way everyone is full and we develop our plans for where we are going when we are done at walmart:yup:
  23. if you see it on sale somewhere and are there early enough the easiest thing to do is buy one at BF price and then return the other one a few days later when it is not so hectic - i agree waiting in line to pricematch that day is a pain and sometimes trying to get an adjustment is a pain too - easier just to return the other for your money back
  24. our group normally goes out for breakfast at denny's around 2 am and then go get in line where ever has the best deals - we shop til around noon and then go home and nap b4 putting up the tree and getting out the decorations. I can't imagine shopping for 12 hours - i love to shop and love getting great deals, but i do it for fun and if i am tired i wouldn't be having fun anymore
  25. I have always shopped walmart on BF and am one of the people who stand outside for hours in the freezing weather. Was just wondering what kind of deals sam's club had last year and if it would be worth rejoining. I used to be a member about 3 years ago and we bought our HP computer there for a great price and i also throw a lot of parties so i bought lots of party supplies - does Sam's have good sales on BF and what type of stuff did they stock? Do/did they price match the CD and DVD prices from CC and BB?
