those are some good ideas on keeping track of it all !! I am usually very organized but whe there is SO MUCH to hide it makes it much harder for me. these kids go everyplace in this house just when you think you have the perfect spot it back fires and I ned upwith Oh that,thats for a cousin-ya right!

I must tell you I struggle every year with this, maybe I buy to much-NAH:D . I have 4 kids ages-10,7,4, and will be 1 Dec,12th. I lose track of what I have , I am worried about putting it on paper fear my nosey rosie kids will find it. they almost busted us on the tooth fairy as it is !! they all believe in santa still. I was hiding in the garage but running out there is a hassel when its 40 below out trying to haul it in to wrap. Wrapping is a story alone! how do you guys put tags on so they don't know its YOUR writting??? I had over flow from last year left in dh car found it this year summer-he is never in his trunk! I do all the shopping and wrapping dh does nothelp with it which is fine but I need some tips on making this more organized now that Walmart is no longer a hiding place for me! we have our basementbut its hard to hide with them going down there so much and our closet only holds so much. thanks much steph

My Dh loves Xmas to say the least! We always have lots and lots of lights outside. we look like the chevy chase mive Xmas vacation outside. It was 2 years ago my Dh went to help his sister at her restaurant and I went to a xmas show with my kids. I came home and it smelled like something was burning. the kids and myself started smelling around and find what it was. we had out tree up but it was not finsihed so there were no lights plugged in for that. we found the smell behind our tree which made no sense to us at all. I called my Dh and said get your butt home there is something burning behind the wall:shock: . he came home and his BIL came with they looked around and checked the outlet the outlet cover started to MELT !!!!!!!!! we hit the circuit beaker and tied off the wires in the outlet. here the one outlet worked the outside and inside ( older home) with all my DH lights hooked up to that spot it started to melt things- outlet covers!! that outlet is no longer usable/ but DH still uses lots of lights just uses more out side outlets then he used to.

I am waiting on my Elmo TMX to show up. you would not believe what I went through to get that sucker from Target when I PRE ORDERED. my CC just expired go figure . I out in the new info for my card and it kept telling me to update my info. well I called Target and they said with all the demand for ELMO my order was cancelled they were not granting any orders they receieved! RRRRRRRRRR I just saw them at Walmart and was like glad I have mine already to learn I now DON"T! 24 hours later I get a email from Target -your ELMO has been shipped! i called them and they shipped it out just the other day! I said you folks need to get on the same page did you send me one or not???? they said they did and charged me for it so it should be here soon. DH wants it to go onto ebay on BF , figures our 1yr old will not care at this point about it much anyhow. so who knows maybe he will go for 100s or $$$

I am new here and wanted to say HI!!!! I actually do all my shopping alone at Xmas time. My friends are working usually on BF or else they are not into it as I am and will not get up at 3 am as I do. I did finally get a friend of my to try it once and now she LOVES to go with me! It works great because she has all her shopping done basiclly she goes only to really help me out with getting things and being in line. She is a total trooper for freezing outside with me , we live in WI:eek: and it gets rather cold. 2 years ago game boy SPs were really cheap at Bestbuy and we stood out side for 2 hours. I do home daycare and one of the kids dad was a manager so he saved me 2 they were gameboysps with 2 games, for under 100.00. anyhow she stood there to help me out. doing it alone is rather fun, really. I think the Xmas spirit thats all around you makes it not matter much at all.
