I told my dad I am waiting for Black Friday ads for Best Buy/Target to get leaked, and then if there aren't any good offers, I'll see if there is a price drop on any tablet or special offers when Best Buy has their Reward Zone Members Private Shopping Event (last year that was in early December). My dad gets Consumer Reports magazine and says that the Samsung Galaxy Tab gets good ratings....so I am leaning towards the tab, probably the new updated 7 inch Galaxy Tab Plus.

If I do any shopping, it'll be online only cause we won't be home on BF and my dad, who usually drives me to Target, will be in bed at midnight when they open. Usually he would drop me off at 5 AM and pick me up like 2 hours later. I'll miss out on the free gift card they usually have for spending $100.

I'm hoping for a few DS game deals for myself. I haven't purchased the latest professor layton game yet cause I am waiting to see if it goes on sale anytime soon. Same with maybe a few other regular-DS games.

my brother told me he thought he had read/heard they were opening at midnight. That is just insane. I won't be able to go....since I don't drive, my dad usually drives me and drops me off. This year my parents are hosting 70+ people from my dad's side of the family (including 14 immediate family) at a house we have in the country. They'd better have some good deals available online....the only thing I will miss is the free $10 gift card when buying at least $100 worth of merchandise and any DVDS or blu rays that may be on my list. Some things MIGHT be online.....but I won't know until November what...12th? And even then, not every online available item will be known about for sure.

the fire isn't out until November 15th. Why not wait until you can actually try out a demo unit and then make a decision then? I know I wouldn't buy a Kindle Fire on a whim....what if I'd end up hating it? or what if Amazon did not let me download the movies and tv shows I already had purchased, because they say I already have the things on the max of two devices? That's why I would rather try a demo unit out. Plus, I'd like the latest Android OS and not be stuck with an Amazon modified one. On my current kindle, I can't have my own screen saver images....I have to use whatever pops up. Hopefully the new Fire won't be like that. If I were to get any of the new Kindles, I'd get the touch. I'm still on the hunt for a tablet....a real tablet...not an Amazon media tablet......I would love to get one before Christmas....but I'll just have to see what the prices are for the new ones.

I have an account with Netflix and just opened one with HuluPlus last month. I want to use those apps,too. Plus flash for seeing some websites that have reviews or stuff....so iPad is out for no flash. Fire probably won't allow either of those since they want users to use Amazon video, etc. Fire will have flash, but I want other features. That's why I await the ads for target and best buy.

ipads are so expensive....I know I wouldn't plunk down that much (minimum of $500 for 16 GB). I'm looking at getting a 7 inch tablet right now...unless there are some ten inch ones available on black friday for a good price (that can be bought online). I have considered the flyer now that its down in price, but there's still no word on when it'll get honeycomb. I don't want a Fire, because you are limited to AMAZON's APP STORE....you can't access the regular android store. You also don't have expandable storage. Its basically a fancy media tablet limited to Amazon's media features, that's IMO anyway.

I am waiting for Target's ad......I wish the iTunes deal in the past was available online as well as the spend $100 and get $10 gift card for free deal they've had before.

I really hope there will be some tablet deals that could be available on the web (not Amazon, but Best Buy maybe?) because I may not be able to do my annual shopping on Black Friday...my parents have to host my dad's side of the family for Thanksgiving (70+ people including my immediate family) and we are staying at the property my parents own in the country the night before thanksgiving and probably the night of thanksgiving. I might be able to shop online thanksgiving morning or night....but usually the deals I want are in store only (like some of the deals at Target). That's why I want a decent tablet deal (not a cheap brand like Colby) if there are any deals.

there will probably be another cheap deal for iTunes gift cards....last year I got a $50 card for $40 and was able to order it online from BestBuy on Thanksgiving or Black Friday. I hope a few tablets (decent ones with Honeycomb 3.2 or 3.1 Android OS, not cheap brands like Coby) will be discounted somewhat or maybe bundled with a nice sized gift card....I'm thinking about getting a tablet to use instead of my netbook for traveling.

My $40 iTunes card ($50 value) and ds pictionary game came yesterday. This streamline they use is too slow! I ordered thanksgiving night, it was "on it's way" the 30th, but tracking didn't show up until the 2nd and then most of it was lacking in information for the whereabouts until it finally was delivered yesterday. I hope if I order something online again during free shipping, that the shipping isn't slow again!

I didn't go to Target until a little after 6 AM (my dad dropped me off since I don't drive). I didn't buy any gifts for anyone at Target today, just things I had wanted....got most of the stuff I remembered off hand or was written on my notes list on my iPod touch...except the iTunes Gift card. They were already out of that (they probably didn't have a LIMIT of # per person on that....I guess it wasn't a big deal since I had ordered the $50 value for $40 from BestBuy.com last night (smart girl am I). I stood in line for just over an hour in the line near the electronics department since that's where I had to pay for my $69 external portable 1 TB hard drive. I did get the free $10 gift card for spending $100 so that was good. I also got Punky Brewster for $1.99 and Percy Jackson Blu for $12.99 and a Carrie Underwood cd I had wanted for $6.50 I ONLY went to Target....didn't have plans for anywhere else (and am glad I didn't).

I stood in line most of the time. I knew I'd have to check out in the Electronics dept. due to my hard drive. They were out of iTunes $25 for $20 (not a huge deal....I had ordered the Best Buy iTunes $50 value for $40 last night online). My dad had dropped me off just after 6 and I got home just after 8 AM. At least I got the $10 gift card for spending $100. :)

Wonder why I didn't get this book!

It's going to be in the 10s tomorrow morning where I live so I hope it's worth it when I go at 6 am or so. I just hope the portable drive will still be there. And I hope they have baskets...I won't need a cart.

I have a western digital external harddrive that's portable and when I had trouble moving some files to a desktop external drive, I tried the smaller one I had mostly used with my laptop or netbook and it was able to accept the files. I'd say yes, that in theory, you can use it with multiple computers, just make sure if you do, name the files very carefully to avoid overwriting other files. If its just for backup of like iTunes libraries, then make sure you name it like Joe's Library, Jane's library, etc...

What I want is only in stores tomorrow.... Need to find out a gift idea for 6 year old nephew....

okay, from what I can tell, some video games will be available online...but not the $7 ones. I'll probably keep my web browser tuned to BestBuy.com though....and one browser tab on walmart.com just to see the video game selection

hmm, that article gives me hope....I can at least check out what they have for video games other than the listed ones, but not sure if I'll have my dad buy the computer package for me or not since I want an all in one printer instead of what's offered.

last year I got the iTunes gift card (well,it was a pack of 3 $10 ones worth $30 for $25) online. I hope its available online again this year.

can't wait to see what's available online.....I am sure the iTunes won't be and probably not the portable external hard drive either.
