  1. Ok, I have question for an eBay guru .... I have stumbled across an "off the wall" website and found some eBay/paypal discount codes (and the fine print). They were posted on 12/1. They look odd to me, and I done understand most of the fine print. BUT, if they are any good I would like to pass them along. I don't want anyone to purchase something on eBay and then think any of these codes would definately work. I just thought there might be someone that "eBayed" a lot and could test them out for us. An eBay/PayPal guru might could look at say right of the bat that the codes are bogus. So, here is what I found(if anyone feels inclined to check them out, please post): C-PAYPALXMAS Works in EU and for some US buyers - gives $10 or 10 euro off the core price (not shipping and handling). CNOEL06 save $12 off shipping and handling - European code that works in some USA accounts expires Dec 13 CPPEBAY03 Various discounts, most readers report it is expired, but works for some. Try it on BINs first. CEBAY2006 Various discounts ($5 off), most readers report it is expired, but works for some. CACTIVEOCT 4 UK LBS off, rumored to work in USA
  2. Shanni, did you read the email they sent my MIL? I posted a link in my previous post. It really confused me.
  3. I have to say I agree. I used to work in retail. Pricing errors like this happen from time. Trust me they are discussed at length in Loss Prevention meetings. Most of the money a store loses is not from theft, but from pricing errors. Bottom line ... it's us the consumers that pay the price in the long run, even though there is not much we, as consumers, can do to prevent it. Even if you were to tell them something rang up too little, they are probably still going to let you have the item. BUT ... you told them and put the ball back in their court. Now, on the other hand, I don't think this product upgrade is going to put TRU out of business. BUT ... it bothers me when people ask these types of "what should I do ?" questions on forums like this. It obviously bothered you at least a little bit ... right ? If there is a clear conscience about something, then it would seem like there would be more of a "bragging" post ... like "woohooo, guess what I got". Perhaps that makes no sense, and perhaps I am in the minority. And in no way am I trying to bash anyone. Just offering my humble opinion. So, what would it hurt to notify them you got an upgraded item ? They probably did just send you that one because they were out of the item. If the person you contact can't give you an answer, etc. then the ball is in their court. YOU didn't do anything wrong and they probably did not either. But at least you can say you notified them and then your conscience can be clear.
  4. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=60382 They do price adjustments. BUT, there are stipulations. If the items came from eToys, you are out of luck with Amazon. I was told I could contact eToys. Not sure if they do price adjustments or not. But if you review the above thread, you can see email I received.
  5. Update ... We got the email back from Amazon. The MIL is getting 4 bucks back. Hey, it's better than nothing. Apparently, price adjustments are made based on the "department" or type of item. And some of the items were evidently supplied by eToys. Here is the email: > Thanks for writing to us at Amazon.com. > > I have researched and found you have placed one retail order and one > merchant order. > > Regarding Merchant order: > > Merchant info: http://csnet.amazon.com/us/merchant/ > > We have teamed up with "eToys Direct" to offer greater selection and > added convenience for our customers. Pricing policies are determined > by the individual merchant, and not by Amazon.com, so I would > encourage you to contact them directly with any questions about price. > > You can reach "eToys Direct" using the following information: > > Merchant Email id:[email protected] > Amazon.com does not have a price-matching policy at this time for any items purchased directly from our store except in the Tools & Hardware store. > > > Regarding Retail order: > > The discounts we offer for items on our web site do vary from time to > time. I've checked your order, and found that we now offer a greater > discount on the items you have placed than at the time you placed > your order. > > Since this item was shipped so recently, I have requested a refund of > $4.16 to your credit card. This amount reflects the difference > between the price you were charged and the discounted price. The > refund should be processed in the next few days and will appear as a > credit on your next billing statement. > > You may view returns and refunds by clicking the "Your Account" link > at the top of our web site, then clicking "Go!" next to "open and > recently shipped orders." Completed refunds will appear at the > bottom of an individual order's summary page. > > I hope this solution is satisfactory. > > We appreciate your business and hope to see you again at Amazon.com. >

  8. I don't think it's a good deal. You can browse around here and see what you think: http://www.pricegrabber.com/search.php?form_keyword=dell+inspirion+1501&topcat_id= The Easy Bake Oven isn't a "sale" price. They have been between $17-$18 at Walmart for a few months. Walmart.com is out of stock now, but I think with shipping there it would be about the same price.
  9. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=60453 I found some pretty good discounts for Musicians Friend.

  11. The Sears ad in today's paper has the PS2 gaming system for $129.99. It is available online for the same price and you can do in store pickup: **Tried to post the link to the page at Sears -- it won't link. Go to Sears.com and search for PS2 system. You would have to purchase games seperately. If you are interested, let me know and I will look for a code that I think I saw earlier today for purchases using in store pickup. I am still looking around for other deals ...
  12. Just looking through the Sunday ads in the newspaper. Sears' ad shows the pink Game Boy Advance for $79.99. I found the Blue Pearl and the pink one on their website for $79.99 as well. You can order online and do store pickup. I think there is a coupon out there somewhere for Sears if you do store pickup. I can look for it, if anyone is interested. **I removed the link. It wasn't working for some reason.
  13. I would be glad to help you look for some codes. But my experience is that discount codes go by the store/website as opposed to the brand of merchandise, unless you are looking for rebate. What websites did you find them on ?
  14. Sorry, didn't know you needed it Tuesday. Did you find one ?
  15. If you find one at brylane, there are plenty of discount codes floating around.
  16. Nikki, are the ones at Walmart the same actors/actresses as in the ones I posted ? If so, I might pick one up at Walmart for 10 bucks.
  17. Thanks, I didn't find it via the "refund" section, but I found something and I was able to list each item. I typed the actual email and then typed the item's current prices. Do you think that will work ? Or is the way you stated something that has a form to complete for the adjustment ? If it works, I will get the MIL $11 back. Possibly another $15. I think there were 2 different items under the Dora skates. I think it is the other one that has been reduced. They appear to to be the same item, but I think maybe the brand or the store is different.
  18. I am trying to send an email for my MIL and ask for a 30 day price adjustment. I can't find a link to send the email. Where do I send it and what do I need to include ?
  19. NEVER underestimate the mind of a child Deep Discount DVD = $12.49 shipped http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=WBD065044 Family Video = $14.96 plus 99 cents shipping. I think there is a $5 off coupon out there for new members. 20. If anyone is still looking, Buy.com has the Onyx one in stock: http://www.buy.com/prod/game-boy-advance-gba-sp-hardware-onyx/q/loc/108/50014649.html?dcaid=17379 Price is $81.16 and shipping is showing $5.98. Google checkout - $30 off. So that puts the entire purchase around $60.
  21. Ebay item # 160059832423 is a sealed game. Would be about $30 shipped.
  22. Is this for you or a gift ? Just wondering if you need "brand new". You can get a decent condition used one on ebay for around $20 shipped. Item # 130055783583
  23. Target.com has them for $59.99 Use coupon code TGTSAVE3 for 10% off.
  24. This is the next lowest deal I have so far: http://www.noviatajo.com/product_info.php?products_id=79 It is $85 plus shipping (which I think is $25). Shipping seems extremely high and I have NEVER heard of this site. But the OP may have. Still looking ... Edit -- The Buy.com offer seems to be the best out there at the moment.
  25. That looks like the best deal -- and it comes with the back seat
