    Finding a paper

Are you guys talking about the paper that comes out with the BF ads in it? Cause that one comes out on thanksgiving and I usually make out my list on Thursday night. Or are you talking about the Friday morning paper? We have the paper delivered so neither are a problem, but I don't need that one before I leave for BF friday shopping.
  2. Well the idea of giving everyone a number in line is fine, but it'll never work seeing as not everyone (not even the majority) would agree to it. I usually go to BB or CC first on BF and people always do rush the doors, but I'm not one who will fight to get to the front and I've been lucky enough to get what I'm going after most times.
  3. Ohh thanks, that's such a nice feature to have!
  4. The old stand-by is always the super cheap kitchen appliances, but I think some big deals this year will be MP3 players and digital cameras.
  5. If BF is a success, they'll be no need to go out shopping on saturday (although not needing anything had never kept me away from a mall).
  6. I think I've been BF shopping for about 6 years now, going every year.
  7. Don't feel guilty, shopping should be fun! I family uses BF to christmas shop, just because there are some things we would never get if they didn't go onsale, but everyone shops for different reasons. If you are standing in line, fighting your way through crowds, out in the early hours of the morning, you deserve a good deal just like anyone else.
  8. I'm looking for the following DVD sets Desperate Housewives Season 2 The OC Season 3 Grey's Anatomy Season 1 & 2 Sex and the City Season 3+ Any House Season Any Friends Season Any Gilmore Girls Season
  9. Last year I got DVD TV season boxsets for $10 at BB and target had sets for cheap too.
  10. I don't buy on BF unless I know then who the gift will go to, for me I'm not willing to push and shove to get items I may or may not use juse because they are on sale.
  11. I take the ads with me, but keep them in the car. I only take the ad of the specific store I'm at in with me (in my bag). As for cash, cards, cell phone, etc. I take my messenger bag/purse so I can have my wallet with me and I put whichever store ad I need in there aswell. I also take an 3X5 card and write down each item I'm going after for each store, so i'll have a card for BB, CC, Target, etc. and when I'm done with that store I throw the card away. It seems to work out well for me, so that's what I'll be doing again this year.
  12. For the last few years CC or BB has always been my first stop, so unless Toys R Us or Target has some toys that we must have (can't depend on to do second), then we'll probably be in line at one of the above mentioned electronics stores in the early hours of BF. Last year we made awesome time doing both BB and CC and still making it to Target to stand in line before the doors even opened. Here's hoping I can pull that one off again.
  13. Actually I've never left a line to go to the restroom, I've learned not to drink much before leaving the house and if worst comes to worst then just hold it.
  14. I usually grad a yogurt smoothie while I'm getting ready, and eat a muffin or bagel in the car on my way to my first stop. It's always something I take with me, cause I'm not going to waste time sitting around eating breakfast when I could just eat it in the car or even in line at my first store.
  15. The lines don't really bother me, I go with two other people and we always get in line pretty quickly, we've never really had a really bad line to wait in except target last year. Targets wait in line was about 30-45 minutes, which is the longest I've ever waited in line but we got some really good deals and we had a lot to get at that store.
  16. Do you know if CompUSA has a BF online sale? Or honors orders over the phone? We don't have a CompUSA here, but it seems like it might be my best bet. No where around here besides the Apple store (which is about two hours away) sells mac computers as far as I know, like I said I've checked other electronic stores and the most they sell is the ipods. I wish we had a CompUSA around here.
  17. BB (I think) did $10 DVD season set last year so I expect them to do that again this season with some good boxsets.
  18. I'm interested in the mac laptops too, but I have never even seen them sold at BB and CC so I would doubt they'd be any time of BF sale with them. We don't have a CompUSA around here so I can't comment on them have apple/mac laptops.
  19. I usually don't hit the secondary stores and if I do it's after all my big store stops. I usually hit: Best Buy Circuit City Target Toys R Us Walmart Kmart BX/PX Later I like to hit stores in the mall like Dillards, Macys, Express, etc. to see what they have and that's when I'll hit the secondary stores if I feel like it, it's no big loss for me if I don't make it to those places. This year I might add Kohls to my primary list of stores to hit, because we have one opening up soon, but I'll have to see what kind of deals they have.
  20. Jeans, Hoddie with t-shirt under (it gets hot in those crowded stores sometimes), tennis shoes, my winter jacket, scraf & gloves (depending on how cold). Awhile ago (the first year I did the big BF thing) it was raining and I remember standing outside of Toys R Us, thinking why am I doing this? But every year since my mom, sister and I have gone out to do the BF thing (except one year I couldn't go because I had surgery soon before, that was a sad year).
  21. I heard they don't do a special sale for BF but that they will give extra discounts on BF, but I've never spoke to anyone who could say this was true for sure, it's only been a rumor. I'm looking for a macbook and I'd love to be able to get some kind of discount on it, but I'm thinking I might as well not hold out for anything.
