I just bid on something last week that my daughter really wanted. I waited until the last hour or so to bid. There had been no bids on it so far so I thought I had a good chance of winning. I was watching the last couple of minutes so that if I was outbid I could bid again. The winning bidder, not me:( , outbid me with about 4 seconds left. I was disappointed but I found the same thing at a yardsale this week for $1. I was going to spend $15. I was happy.

If you have a Meijer store in your area they also price match. And their lines usually aren't too long on BF. I got quite a bit of my stuff their last year.

My brother is someone who is never happy with what he gets as a gift. He sulks, and sometimes he even gets angry. He never buys any presents for family members anyway. Although he buys presents for friends. Two years ago I had enough. I am not going to waste my energy and my money on someone who doesn't appreciate it. I told him he wouldn't get a gift from me ever again. I would buy him a card but he won't read it so he gets nothing from me. It's too bad but oh well.

Last year we gave my daughter's teacher a gift set from bath and body works. I think they were having their semi annual sale so we got a lotion, a soap, and a pretty candle with flowers around it for about $10. She loved it.

Our Meijer is open 24 hrs. Last year the deals started at 6am but if you were there early you could take the things you wanted and just wait until 6 to check out. I was really disappointed. I got there at 6 and all the stuff I wanted was already gone. Hopefully they'll have a better strategy this year. Or maybe I should just get there earlier. They do price matching.

I usually checkout at walmart in the electronics section. Last year on BF I was second in line.

Have you checked Ebay? If it's the Mario Kart double dash I think you can get it for $25-30.

I have a list. I also bring the ads with me to Meijer or Walmart for the things I want to have price matched. Last year I had a hard time at one of the stores, I think it was Toys R Us, when I wanted to do a price match. The manager asked if the original store was out of the item and I said yes. Then he told me that if the original store is sold out they won't do a price match. I was really bummed.

I shop all year long. Especially at Target when they have the huge toy clearance after christmas. My bedroom closet looks like a toy store. When I see a deal I buy it. It has been really nice when you get those last minute invitations to a birthday party and my daughter always has tons of presents under the tree. I still do about 25% of my christmas shopping on BF.

I was hoping that it was a misprint. They have the Big Bratz Babyz for 19.xx in the BF ad but they're that price right now in the store. I was hoping they would be cheaper than that.

I found a pack of 4 lil bratz dolls at a yard sale today for $1. My daughter loved them. I was pretty happy with that deal.

I didn't see this posted yet so I thought I'd add it. Target has their Halloween and dollar spot 75% off. Still lots left when I was there yesterday. I also heard that the Shabby Chic stuff is 75% off as well. I bought the paper lantern from that line when it was 30% off and I love it.

I love Border's deluxe hot chocolate after a long day of shopping on BF.

Last year I was at Wal-Mart which has doors on 2 sides. I had been standing in line for about 40 minutes. Then wal mart people decided to have a camera man from the local news station set up right in front of the door I was standing at about 3 minutes before the store opened. There were about 100 other people in front of this door as well. We all had to move to the other side to get in. Of course the people on that side were not happy and some of them decided to make an arm chain to try to keep us out but, what could we do? Some of them were really nasty about it, calling us names and shouting. It was a bad decision by wal-mart and an uncomfortable situation for everyone. We all got in though and I got what I wanted so I was happy.

This has happened to me. Two years ago I was shopping with my mom at Target's Easter clearance the day things went 90% off. A woman grabbed an easter egg wall hanging out of my hands. I normally would have fought for it but, I already had one and I had a headache so I just said "I can't believe you just did that." She said that she really wanted it and walked away. A little later I found my mom and that same lady was standing right next to her. I told my mom about the incident and said "I figured if that lady's life is so empty and pathetic that she needed to grab the thing from me that she could have it." Then I looked over at the woman and said "Oh, that was you wasn't it?" She looked horrified. She said that no one had ever spoken to her that way and that I was the rudest person she had ever met. I said "I guess you haven't looked in the mirror lately then." She walked away crying. I hope she thinks twice before she tries that again.
