  1. You have to wait for them to have at least marked down one of the kind of item you want. So, for example, if they have 5 Cranky the Cranes and have marked at least one, you don't have to wait for the sticker for the other 4. But, if they haven't marked at least one of the item, it will still show the old price. Most of the time, if they miss an item entirely they seem to do a general markdown of all the items that were supposed to go down that day. I am guessing that they use their guide sheet and just scan that. However, occasionally they will miss an item entirely and it will simply stay at the higher price. This sometimes gets people who hide items because their items don't get the markdown at all. I have found such items from time to time. I know the markdown people pretty well, so I will sometimes ask them to check it while they are in markdown mode. No one else can give the markdown, so it has to be one of them.

Couldn't they scan the barcode that appears on the shelf tag? Do they do that??

  2. has anyone noticed on the 'patio' markdowns, if the landscaping solar lights are

    included in the markdowns?

    Needing them badly!

    TIA!

They weren't at mine. Before the patio stuff even started being marked down, there were a couple of solar lights styles that went to clearance but they went quick and I haven't seen them at any Targets since. The rest of the solar lights have been regular price at all of the Targets I've been too.

  3. I was at Target and they had a big team put together doing inventory. They were going all over the store you could see where they were supposed to go, there were pink sticky on things that they were not supposed to inventory. I over heard someone say that the relief team would be in to inventory through the night. I am not sure what all this means, just interesting.

Retail stores do inventory at least once a year to evaluate how much they've lost to shoplifting and other things. The inventory is usually done by an outside company and those pink sticky things are for them to keep track of what areas they've already completed inventory in. :)

  4. UGHHHHH!!! I went to 2 stores this afternoon after I read that the patio stuff was marked down but no luck here in Pasadena!! Still at 50% and the markdown team was going home. BUMMER! Maybe tomorrow morning when I get there. I was REALLY hoping they would mark down the toys tomorrow morning because I have to go to a breakfast thing on Thursday morning. Maybe they'll push it back a week, but I have a VERY strong feeling that they'll go 75% tomorrow or Thursday.

Is this the week they usually go to 75%? This is my first time shopping the summer toy clearance and I really want to stock up!

  5. Yesterday I got some of the pooh clearanced items (clothing) in the baby/toddler section and then went over to see if they had anything in my older daughter's size and they had marked the jeans I previously bought down to 75% off so they were only 2.xx a pair!!:eyepoppin I got four pair but wish I had bought more! I do have to hem them for her so I hesitated and know they will be gone! They are the stretchy kind and she likes them best! Got a really cute pink eyelet swimsuit marked 4.98 but rang up 2.xx for dd (in the toddler section) so I was pretty excited! now I can take the jeans back I paid more $$ for! :cheesy: Patio was still 50%-like everyone else has said, not much left.

Could you tell me what % off the pooh clothing was? Thanks!

  6. I am ready for this hot weather to be gone and fall to be here. I get excited when I start seeing Christmas cards and other things come out early. I can shop all day on BF and not get a thing for anyone but me.:g_dance:

omg Hobby Lobby already has their Fall & Christmas items out! They have lights, ornaments, garland, etc. I was shocked! It's only July!!!

  7. I went to Target today looking for fire pits with my parents. They ended up buying a fire pit for full price about $160. I was so disappointed in them. I told them to just wait untill they go on sale or clearance, but they really want to have a fire tonight. In the clearance section they had one on clearance and the rest were marked full price! All I can say is I never find any of the good deals posted on here at our target(Wisconsin). The thing is I keep going back and looking for them!!

Keep their receipt. Maybe you can get a price adjustment when it goes on sale!

  8. I saw on another thread that there are Kitchenaid baking dishes 75% off.

Can anyone tell me more about these baking dishes or have a dcpi # for them or know if there is a pic online? I have to get a birthday present for a friend that loves to cook that really needs baking stuff today! TIA :)

OOoooo thanks for posting this...I'm going to have to check my Target! I love this baking dishes...especially the pie one! The large handles on the sides would be great for pulling the pie out of the oven!

  9. If anyone spies a good deal on those plastic folders please post. My kids are way too hard on the paper/cardboard ones.

I think Walmart had the plastic ones for 88 cents. I can't be positive they were plastic because I didn't really check them out but I know they weren't the paper/cardboard ones. Those were running 10-20 cents at Walmart. Good Luck!

  10. I refuse to shop with them because I think they purposely put all of those great deals out there and then when you click on the item, about 80% of the stuff isn't even available!!!! It should be taken off of the screen or have an "out of stock" label or something. I don't have ALL DAY to click on the items I'm interested in, only to find that all of them are out of stock!
  11. dollar spot was still 50% for us today (9:30 am)... if it does go to 75% either today or tomorrow... will they do a price adjustment?? i bought quite a few things for a christmas thing that we do with the kids..... would love to save a bit more!!!;)

They won't do a price adjustment because it's clearance but you can try. ;) People have had associates do it before. If they don't do the adjustment, you can just rebuy the item (if they still have what you've bought) and then return it with your receipt from when you purchased the item at the higher price. Hope that wasn't confusing
