I went to the one on Zeeb Rd at Ann Arbor at 5:40am. There were probably only a double dozen people shopping. I got all the toys I want and left within 30min. No waiting inline at all.

I arrived Kmart at 7:06am this morning. There were not many people. Cashiers are open without lines at all. It is probably all because of the browing snow this morning. I got what I want and left the store in 10 minutes.

It may depend on which Meijer you called. There are 3 in my area and the customer service are completely different.

I wonder if these new ads will be added to the BF shopping list soon. Is there a way to notify the moderator?

I got all my 15-20 rebates back from last BF (>$300 total). There are a few that I need to do a follow-up phone call or e-mail. The last rebate came in 6 months after submission from MadDog.

Come early on Thursday. Some places will be out of newspaper early even before 9am. Perhaps you can come even earlier and shop at Meijer where they have a doorbuster sale at 6am on Thursday. You don't want to pay $5.50 to cross the border just for a newspaper.

Most deals with rebates on BF are only valid for BF. You may try return and re-buy stratagy, but the customer service will tell you to return it here and go back in line for re-purchase at cashier. :-)

My stratagy is to find out which store carry most of the items you want from both store. Go to that one first and do price match on the items on sale at the other store.

It is going to snow here in Michigan too. If it got over 4 inches, I don't think I'll leave home. Actually I would not be able to leave home and the city will not have people to clear the road until after 9am. I remember that happened once in the last couple years.

It seems the ad is on for some location only. I wonder if it is going to be different here in Michigan as the ad is still not up on their web yet.

Do you count online shopping? I am not sure about this year due to the weather situation, but last year I went to 7 stores and 3 websites to buy things.

I have a $200 budget, but my shopping list totals ~$500 right now. LOL. Bring you check book along. I remember one year the credit card verification was so slow during the early bird hours. So prepare for an alternative paying method.

You have to bring the ads for price matching and they'll clip the ad like a coupon. So be prepared that you won't get the ads back. I usually do the PM shopping after I finished the doorbuster shopping as it is much less competitive and I don't need the ads anymore.

The sales start at midnight, but it does not mean the store opens before that. They usually close on Thanksgiving day.

I also did price matching Toysrus at Meijer. There is usually no line waiting at Meijer during the early bird hours and just did the price matching at the cashier.
