How is Circuit City at Mail in Rebates???
vbamother replied to aj4545's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
This thread makes me feel better cause we are doing our first CC rebate ever (for the 22" Acer monitor we bought on BF) and I've really been worrying about it. I've never had a problem with grocery rebates, but I've had several problems with electronic items. Still waiting on the rebate for that RCA EZ101 camcorder from Overstock that I bought back in June, and from what I read, everyone else who bought it is too. -
I sent my complaint to the Circuit City CEO. If all of us let him know what kind of problems we've been having, maybe he'll get a clue: Mr. Philip J Schoonover CEO, Circuit City 9950 MAYLAND DRIVE RICHMOND, VA 23233 PS: Don't bother with their toll-free number. It's a total waste of time.

Depends on the rebate. I love grocery/beer company rebates. Almost never have a problem with those. But electronics? Geez, I don't think we've gotten more than half of them...there is always a problem, or else they just disappear and we never hear anything no matter how many times we call or email!

I'm so glad y'all are posting info about Best Buy. We had a terrible CC experience this BF, and I will never go back. We do not have a Best Buy quite yet...it is being built as I write this, but after reading everyone's posts, I'll definitely be taking my business their after it opens!

Just pray you don't have any problems...I ordered online too, then had to contact customer service (in Manila) about a problem. All I got was tons of lies, was not permitted to speak to a supervisor no matter how many times I requested one, and finally gave up about forty minutes later with no satisfaction. Good luck to you.
-
Totally agree with you...CC is the PITS.
-
Great info, thank you!
-
The one I got evidently didn't HAVE a supervisor...she wouldn't let me talk to one! Kept putting me on hold and coming back herself ("what is problem?"). This is the worst company in the world to do business with..never again for me.
-
Hate Circuit City after our experience there and will not do business with them again ever. Worse customer service (toll free and online) EVER. Cannot speak English and will not let you talk to a supervisor...asks over and over "what is problem?" when I had already explained (in very "small" words") six times that one of my items is missing. Best Buy is opening soon so will give them a try.
-
Never hurts to try...but don't contact customer service at toll free number, they can barely speak English and are in Manila. Hopefully you bought it in-store...if so, you can contact the mgr there and see if you can work it out.

Hey you got off good. Same thing happened to me with Sims 2 game for $4.99 and I didnt get squat. I ordered the game and two expansion packs and cashier tried to shove two expansion packs in bag and hand it to me without telling me the game was missing (or adjusting my credit card). When asked about gc, the kid just said "thats only if you're here within 24 minutes'! And don't bother calling customer service, they are located in Manila. Was on hold with them for 30 minutes this morning..got person who could not speak english. When I kept asking for her supervisor, she'd said "ok just one moment" and then COME BACK HERSELF! Happened several times. I have written a very nastygram to the CEO this morning, with carbon's to state attorney general and better business bureau but doubt it'll help. Morale of story: Circuit City is only good if you don't have ANY PROBLEMS!

If you hint REALLY LARGE that you want an autographed book for Christmas, how could she say "no"? -
Thanks, my son works in a college library and there is one listed near him.

Hope I'm posting this in the right forum...Did a search and didn't find it listed: Today at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, they had several flavors of TGI Fridays Non-Alcoholic Mixers. Most of these were $5.99 for a 1.75 liter bottle. Many had manufacturer's hang-tags for $3 rebates....limit three rebates per household WYB two of the 1 liter bottles, or one of the 1.75 liters. Had to include ORIGINAL receipt with each rebate. Since I wanted two rebates, I had the girl ring them separately. Now for the fun part: BBB also has a store rebate for $5 WYB two of the mixers between 9/01/07 and 2/29/08...limit two rebates per household...include a COPY of the original receipt(s) to get rebate. We don't drink much, but I got one each of the Pina Colada, and the Mudslide and figure I'll find something to do with 'em. (Wonder if they'd be good for making flavored coffee drinks?) Basically after both rebates, I paid fifty cents per bottle.

recommend a good pair of sandles/flip flops
vbamother replied to littlesdcen's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Oh man I sympathize with the heel spur...I have them on both feet since September and they hurt so much. I've pretty much given up on my flip-flops other than just for a few minutes to run to the mailbox, and have invested in a pair of Timberland sandals with a very cushioned small wedge heel. -
Wow, what a deal! Congrats to you for finding it!

Will Walgreens & Rite Aid Stack Coupons?
vbamother replied to vbamother's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Thanks so much! Don't know what I'd do without the help of the folks on this forum. (yes I do, I'd be spending way too much money for the things we need!) -
Ok, I've got the hang of CVS's ECB thing, and now I'd like to try Walgreen's and Rite Aid. Walgreen's has store coupons in their sales flyer, and if you register on Rite Aid's site they have some there you can print off. My question is this: Can you stack a manufacturer's coupon on top of a store coupon at these stores? (I've read that you can at Target, but ours just opened, so I've not tried it yet.) Would sure appreciate any input. Thanks! :)

Slingshot Flying Monkeys $1.99 at handhelditems.com
vbamother replied to jonboy_nellie's topic in Online Hot Deals
I bought my college-age son the flying chicken as a stocking stuffer back at Christmas and he loved it. Just remember to take out that little tag inside, otherwise it won't make screeching sounds when it "flys". -
RiteAid will have 14 items free after rebate from 03/18 to 03/24!!
