I read on another thread that Walmart layaway (I think it was walmart) will not be open BF morning. Even if it is, you would spend a good chunk of your morning in line whether you are putting in layaway or getting out and trying to price adjust.

This may have already been posted but does anybody know how long the soup is on sale and how long the catalina is working? I went last night and got 28 cans. It wasn't until the end, when I ran out of stuff to put with the soup and grabbed a candy bar, that I discovered I didn't have to buy a dollar worth of stuff to go with the soup. 1.67 Soup .59 candy bar .26 tax -2.50 coupon .02 my cost I also did a deal with twistables or keebler bistro crackers which were both on sale for 1.67. I had .50 coupons that doubled and wound up paying .09 for a soup and a twistable or cracker. Soup and 2 packs of sunflowers seeds for .40. Soup & 24 pack Cottonelle was on sale for 5.00 and I had $1 blinkie. Wound up paying about $2.80 which is not free but still a good deal if you need tp. I also used little debbies (no coupon and can't remember total after coupons) and keebler sandies (love these things). Cookies and soup was .99 with .50 coupon doubled to $1.

I went last night to check out my local DGs and didn't find anything at all at one and only a few crappy things at the other. I was gonna report the frends & family night but somebody beat me to it. lol I did ask how we get a ticket to get in and they gave me one at the register.

Grapico, where did you see the car dc player? My son is fixing up his first vehicle and wants one. forgot to say that I agree with most on here. There's just not a lot jumping out at me.

Gonna have to run to my DGs tonight. ******************************************* I forgot to post this last week but wanted to let everyone know to check out their Dollar General Store. I just happened to drive by a DG in a neigboring city and seen they had painted up their front window with a notice that they were having a "Green Dot" 65% off sale on certain items. HAD to stop in of course! Found several aisles of really nice toys and other items at 65% off..I got quite a few Christmas presents for next to nothing!! They also had a couple Christmas aisles included in this sale on the opposite side of the store, so be sure to ask the cashiers if there are other 'mark down' areas in the store. I wouldn't have know about the other aisles if a cashier hadn't told me about it. Also they had a whole shopping cart full of 3pks of wide transparent tape pkgs w/ a sign on front of it..$.35 EACH!! Wow!! got a bunch of those too! They had a LOT of stuff marked down all over the store..just had to look around for the deals. I ended up with a shopping cart full of stuff all for under $20 to boot! I noticed other DG didn't have this going on, so guess it's just up to the individual stores, but be sure to look around to see if your area has any doing these sales.

I live in OK but sometimes go to Branson for vacation and to shop.

Alimfp, you are an angel! I had my total down to $153.xx for the four items I wanted last night but didn't have the $ to go ahead and compete the purchase. I went back today and the total is $179.xx. I took two of the items off and it brought the total down to $143.xx.
