    Hot Topic BF???

One year they had an extra 50% off on all of their red-line clearance. I love that store!
  2. Warning: I have had horrible luck with Target's online stuff. I ordered a bedspread and after 3 months of waiting called to find out it was discontinued. My account info stated that it was "in process". Love the store, hate the online service. However, that is an awesome price on the Lost box set. My DH really wants it.
  3. They usually have the 5 for $30 on the garden stuff. It makes a great gift. I love the strawberries and champagne scent. Also, the underwear is sometimes 5 for $25 on this date (and so worth it!) I am all over this one!
  4. Isn't it funny how we notice this stuff after going to the BF board? I would have never thought to look for "extra" items on the store shelves before, but now I stake them out weeks before BF!

    Kmart ad

The 7.99 GBA games on Thanksgiving day are a good deal, as are the Disney DVD's. The BF ad kind of sucks, though.....
  6. Thanks! I have been wanting the first Harry Potter film on DVD, and that is a bargain!

    JC penny and Macy's

I have a JCPenney card, and find bargains there year round, but I always go on BF for the cute little Disney snow globe they give out. They usually have like-$15 off of $50 coupons in the Thanksgiving Day paper, and they will have them for different times of the day (early bird and 4pm-9pm, usually). They also usually have great deals on kids clothes on this day.
  8. My son, who is 7, got a PS2 last year and absoloutely loves it. The graphics are awesome and he never gets tired of it (which can be a good or a bad thing) ;-) My husband also loves it, so it was a very mulit-purpose type of gift that will grow with your child.
  9. I have terrible luck gettting a "doorbuster", even when I am there early. I distinctly remember paying $150 for a dvd player the year they first became affordable at Best Buy because they were out by the time I got in the door. The doorbuster price then was like-$99, I think.
  10. How do you find out if you have won something on the gottapoints deal? Are you emailed directly? Thanks! I reallllyyyy want the Target gift card.

    Steve and Barry's

Watch out, this stuff shrinks REALLY bad, and the junior/women's stuff is made really small. Some of the men's shirts are OK quality, but a lot of it is made way cheap.
  12. I also am very nice to cashiers since I worked at Food World for 3 years during Black Friday, Thanksgiving, threats of snow in a southern state ;-) But you just have to realize that this one day will be rough and just make the best of it. The one thing that isn't gonna help anything is being all negative and going in with a horrible attitude on that day. I really don't understand what even attracted someone like you to this board in the first place....
  13. I prob spend around $300 or so per child, plus stocking stuffers. My husband thinks this is way too much (as it is over triple what our parents spent on us as children in the 80's),but I want them to have the hot toys and stuff they want. I usually get it on sale, and put much of it on layaway so I don't go into debt over it. I feel like that if you can afford to spoil your kids a little, you should.
  14. We get there really early to get the free snowglobes at JcPenney and the Cracker Jack boxes at McRae's. My aunt won a $1000 gift certificate in the cracker jacks one year! I usually get like-25% off or something, but it is still fun to go. Also, most of the other stores are having sales since so many people are in the mall that day. We always hit the mall first, but I am considering going to Walmart to fight for a Cabbage Patch baby for my niece.
  15. I was thinking about getting this for dh this year if it is on sale. I hear the games are all pre-loaded into it. I loved Atari as a kid!
  16. I rarely shop for clothes for myself on BF due to the crowded dressing rooms and such, but I usually get stuff for the boys and for my 3 yr. old niece at JCPenney, Old Navy, or The Children's Place.
  17. Half.com has The Crow box set for around $30 http://product.half.ebay.com/Crow-The-The-Exclusive-3-Movie-Collection_W0QQprZ3358385QQtgZinfo I have always had great luck with their stuff, and it usually ships really cheap.:)
  18. You could get them a "family gift"-a food basket or board game. My family used to do that at gatherings where lots of cousins who rarely saw each other were. We would get like a game or a nice blanket or some kind of homemade goodies in a basket.

    Box Sets

My dh really wants 24 and Lost, and I want Sex in the City (anything after season 2) and Desparate Housewives.
  20. I usually start when the ABC Distributing Fall catalog comes out, which is in early July here. It usually has Christmas items in it, so it gets me in the mood to start shopping. I get serious about it in later Sept/early Oct., and only have a few things left to buy by BF. That way, I can treat myself a little bit on this day!
  21. I usually get a lot of great deals at JCPenney-esp on clothes for the boys. Also, you get the free snowglobe each year!
  22. Where I live (north Alabama) we get a sort of advertising packet once a month with ads from Walmart, local furniture stores and coupons for pizza and such. Walmart usually includes their BF ads with these.
  23. That is awesome! I love Friends, so I will have to check that out.
  24. My mom and I THOUGHT we were organized until we saw this site! We mapped out our route and carried our ads and coupons loosely in an envelope. I plan to do much better this year.
  25. My mom and I actually hide the fact that we are going from some of our relatives so we can just go to the stores we want to and not have to wait on anyone. Is that mean?
