How much of your Christmas shopping do you usually do on BF?
fairydustcrissy replied to MarkRaby's topic in 2005
BF is when I try to FINISH my shopping. Usually about 50% -

2005 BF deals rumored to be better this year
fairydustcrissy replied to starshine's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I think they will. Sales were too low last year, they dont want that again. Thats just fine with me!!! -
thanks for the site!!!

Yep, the gameboys have always been backwards compatible. There is only 1 game that cannot be played on te SP...Kirby's tilt n tumble. Other than that, you can play the very 1st GB game you ever owned on them. Thats a huge part of the appeal! And like has been said before, dont expect a super deal on the system alone, but you may find a good deal on a bundle pack.

I do!!! I had no idea there was a site about it though! Its so funny, my entire family has a specific path through any given target. They only have a couple of layout styles, so upon entering we know what to do! Good to see there are others with the same sickness!

You are right. Thats why they do the Holiday Bundles. At EB, you can get the bundles with new or pre-owned systems. You can also get warranties for either. I know the pre-owned XB and PS2 recently dropped to 99.99. So, use that to base your guestimates at.....

I know that EB games has the same bundles online as they do in the store, or at least they usually do. Technically, they will become gamestop stores on Saturday, so i am not sure how they will handle the online sales this year. i will post as soon as I know more about it, though!

Unless you want to spend a fortune on a PS3, go with the PS2. The new one wont be out until next year anyways. And from BF to Christmas, you can get awesome bundle deals from EB games, gamestop, places like that. I know TRU has some too.

The advance games DO fit in the SP. There are no special games for the SP. It just folds in half and has a backlit screen. Only difference there is. And I highly suggest you go with the SP, so much better system!

DH works @ EB games, so he closes. I have until 1, and he goes in at 1:30. It has worked fo rus for 6 years now!

Ladies: When BF shopping, Do you Carry a Purse?
fairydustcrissy replied to elena_398's topic in 2005
Pockets for me. Cash & keys in one front, phone in the other. Liscence and bank card in back pocket. -
I dont go to Walmart. Ever. I see deals posted, but I can live without those.
-
I already checked those, they were the 1st things I thought of. I am hoping to find a better price, maybe hold off till BF. Someone seems to always have them for 25-35.00. Thanks for looking though.

Well, last year that 20.00 GC at Sears was hard to beat!

I heard that on the radio as well. -
Done! And thanks!

For me it seems to be Target. They usually have what I am looking for, no one is killing each other, and the items seem to be where they BELONG.

Who else has been waiting since December 26, 2004 for Black Friday?
fairydustcrissy replied to RossMAN's topic in 2005
Some people work for the stores, the printers, and anyone in between that mght have acess. Some stores are more secretive than others, so some are easier to get. For instance, my DH works for EB games. I knew about 3 weeks before him what his BF deals were. I'm sure there are other ways as well. -
I usually spend around 300 or so.

I need 2 bikes for my girls. I went to order the stingrays on amazon that were $35, only to see that they are now 79.99. Go figure. I need the best deal I can find!

OK, not a wishlist, but i feel compelled to post. For those who want sat. radio, does it need to be XM? or is sirius ok? Target has sirius recievers on clearance right now, I almost got one, but i dont want a monthly fee. For those looking for TVs, SEARS! Thats where I got my girls 19" for 58.00 last BF. And for the person posting about a pixter color, have you thought about a leapster? they are soo much better. If price is the deciding factor, get a pixter for 40.00. If not, splurge the extra 20 or so on the leapster. We have had one since the year it came out (3 years ago? I think) and my kids still love it. Crissy
