It's an interesting tactic on CompUSA's part to open before all of the competition (the night before). Should probably give them some good publicity.

If you read the ad it should be clear. Most of the sales seem to be Friday morning, but a select few are on Thursday night.

I agree, it's too late for them to change their printed ad, but they can always add additional deals at the last minute.

It will be very interesting to see what happens with WM next Thursday. I can't wait.

I agree, the deals are not as good as they used to be, but more & more keep coming out to shop on BF.

They will probably have some kind of online sale, but there's no way to know in advance which particular items will be included in the online sale.

There aren't many good FAR items this year at Staples, so I don't think there will be too many people going there first - - which means that I would expect that the stuff will still be available if you go later (but that's just a guess).

Office Depot seems to be the last ad to be released. I am guessing that they will have hard drive deals (external and internal) and some free-after-rebate software. I hope the ad is released soon!

Overall, I'm disappointed with the BF sales, although there are still some good deals here & there.

CompUSA will be opening on Thanksgiving night (Thursday) at 9pm for a 3-hour sale.

Their rebates are good, as long as you don't use a coupon or do a price match. Then they would be likely to not honor the rebate.

I've seen things ring up at 1 cent at Office Depot before, but I've never seen anything ring up as free at any store. You definitely got very lucky.

The Google Checkout $10 off has provided lots of good deals over the past month. I hope it stays!

From what I'm hearing in this discussion, I'm glad I didn't pre-order it. It was readily available at many stores on the day it came out (I picked it up at CVS using Extra Bucks).

People are saying Fry's rebates, but actually the rebates that they usually offer are manufacturer's rebates, not Fry's stores rebates. So making generalizations about Fry's rebates often does not make sense.

On BF morning the Staples web site is often slow and/or not responding, plus they often don't reflect the "instant savings" discounts until much later in the day. I'm hoping that the site is working better this year!
