Thanks guys! Excellent advice! Guess I'm goin with the premium. Now I just have to hope for some sort of price break or deal.

Anyone know what the real limitations are of the "core system"? Is it that it won't play the original Xbox games because it doesn't come with the external hard drive? The $300 core system is a much more attractive price than the $500+ bundles. I don't need the wireless controllers, or the HDTV hookup, or the Live trial CD's, or the the Live Headset, or the bundled games. However, if I need the external Hard Drive to play the original Xbox games then I'll have to buy that as well.

What do the vets on here think? Will there be some smokin' deals on XBOX 360 systems closer to XMAS or possibly some early bird doorbusters on BF? Should I just bite the bullet and head to Costco or Best Buy now and buy a bundle for $500+ or wait to see if some deals pop up?

Does "home decor" mean only certain items or is it any items excluding fine print.

I already have a monitor, a printer and speakers. It only has integrated video but I can always buy a video card later. I'm not looking for gaming anyway. I'll be downloading a lot of music and movies and burning them. How fast will 160GB fill up? The Dual-Layer DVD±RW drive should be able to hande burning movies and music, right? Yea, the Sempron is older technology but why pay extra $$ for a 64 bit processor I don't need. The beefiest apps I'd be running would be Paint Shop Pro and Adobe stuff like Acrobat and Illustrator. Other than that it's surfin the web and wasting my time on stupid forums. Is there a better computer deal out there for $400?

Yea, they also overnighted a package, Saturday delivery even, for me free of charge. I certainly didn't expect that but I'll take it.

I get that little white truck guy at my door a couple times a year. Why anyone would buy meat from some total stranger driving around the neighborhood in a pickup is beyond me. I'll stick to the local grocery store sales.

FYI: I accidentally called the "after hours" number and got a rep who seemed a bit grumpy. I said I'd like to place an order and he responded with a snotty, "Well, doesn't everyone." Maybe he was joking but it didn't sound like it. Then when I tried to use the coupon code (site05) he said it wasn't valid. I then called back at the first number listed and had no problems, other than the money jar is out of stock and won't ship till 1/15. Oh well, his birthday is in March. :)

Some name I came up with that I thought was cool way back when I first started using computers about 20 years ago. This was back when Commodore 64's and the movie "War Games" were cool. It was either this or socalcyclist. Probably should have went with the latter. Too late to switch now, I'm closing in on 100.

Vacations = just got back from a week long cruise to San Diego, Catalina, and Mexico. Lots of fun and lots of food. Gained 5lbs!
