  4. I only ask because I remember last year the BF ad for Staples popped up first on another site way early. Just couldn't remember which. This site rocks, though!!
  5. Not that I don't like this one. It's great! It's the best! Really, it is. I know there are a couple more out there but I can't remember them.
  6. I'm done! I'm so done with Amazon.com! First there was the whole XBOX 360 fiasco and now the $3 Swiss Army pocket knife offer this morning. I don't have time to go into details. I'm just wondering if there's others on here who are tired of the impossible to get promotional offers and the way Amazon has handled it?
  7. Schweeeet deal!! Ordered 5 for $10! Guess what the in-laws are getting for Xmas.
  8. I was salivating over that 52" RCA TV from WalMart till I read this. http://www.netnoise.com/boycott_rca/rcabook2005-6.html http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4872141
  9. Well, bought the one at Staples today at regular price and then I'll be heading back in later in the day on BF to get the sale price. Still not sure if I want that ATI video card from Best Buy.
  10. That link is actually for a ladies bag just in case that was the one you picked for pops. However, it's perfect for me. My wife has a set of golf clubs, given to her by her mom, but no bag for them. This will be a perfect totally unsuspected xmas gift.
  11. Wow, they look almost identical except for the RAM and HD. I'm going with Staples since I have an inside connection there and won't have to stand in line or worry about them being out of stock. I was also checking out that ATI X1600 at Best Buy for $99. Looks like a good price but was reading some bad reviews on Newegg about it heating up and locking up. So now I'm not so sure. 12. Woohoo! Looks like Staples has a decent deal going on as well. $699.98 HP Pavilion AMD Athlon X2 4200 1GB RAM 200 GB HD DVD+-RW CD-RW 19" LCD Widescreen Monitor Just need to find a kickazz video card to put in it! http://www.officialblackfriday.com/ads/gottadeal-staples-bf2006.pdf
  13. Thanks StationChief! Great info in one area but is there a way to easily print it out? http://www.geocities.com/frabehri/BF2006/DesktopComparisonChart.htm
  14. I'm soooooo disappointed! I'm new to this whole Target deal shopping thing but I've been reading up and learning. So I go to my local Target this morning armed with two pages of marked down stuff. Found a scanner that worked and started entering in DPCI and UPC numbers but nothing was in stock. Nothing! Kept getting "AISLE: N/A" and "STOCKROOM: NO". Must have punched in at least 30 different items and not one was there. Oh well, guess my Target just sucks!
  15. I'm in the same boat. The puter in the Best Buy ad uses an integrated chipset on the motherboard which shares RAM, there's no video card. As I understand it if you want better graphic capabilities and performance (gaming) then the ATI X1600 would be the way to go. However, if you're just going to be surfing the web and nothing graphic intensive then you don't really need an actual video card. If you decide to go with the video card then you'll want the PCI-E, though, not the AGP. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong here.
  16. Yea, that's the one - $99. No way I'm buying an E-machine, though. Plus I want to get a nice big LCD screen. No problems mixing an NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE graphics chipset with an ATI Radeon card is there? http://images.bestbuy.com/BestBuy_US/images/products/7634/7634795_ra.jpg Video Memory 512MB Interface Slot Type PCI Express Type of Processor ATI RADEON X1600 Number of Processors 1 Clock Speed of Video Memory (RAMDAC) 400MHz Maximum 2D Resolution (at 32-bit color) Up to 2048 x 1536 Maximum 3D Resolution (at 32-bit color) Up to 2048 x 1536 Megapixels/Megatexels 8000 megatextels Number of Polygons per Second 625 million Supports MPEG-1, 2 Yes DVD Decoding Yes TV-Out Yes Stereo Sound Yes S-Video Output Yes Video Format MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, WMV9, DivX, DVD System Requirements 512MB system memory; PCI Express x16 slot; CD-ROM drive; 350-watt power supply
  17. Thanks again. I'll watch the BF ads. Staples, Best Buy, or somebody should have a good deal on a video card. I'll have to double check but I think I remember seeing an ATI 256mb card for $99 on Best Buy's BF ad.
  18. Thanks Stationchief, that clears things up considerably. Guess I'll start looking at Newegg for a PCI-E graphics card that has at least 256mb. Yikes, there are 345 PCI-E at Newegg to choose from!! Any recommendations on one that won't break the bank?
  19. My son wants a computer this xmas but it needs to be able to play the latest and greatest games like "Battlefield 2142" and "Command & Conquer Tiberian Wars." I'm confused about "integrated graphics" and shared memory and video cards. Will a system like this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8007435&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat103700050049&id=1155848397598 from Best Buy be able to play the high end games listed above? I know the AMD 64 X2 3800 processor and the 1GB of RAM will handle the games fine but I'm not sure about this: "NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE graphics with PCI Express x16 expansion slot and up to 128MB shared video memory" Is there an actual video card in there? Will I need to buy a video card? Don't these games require a specific type of video card? Please help, I'm so confused.
  20. This wasn't one controller put back on the wrong peg by a customer. This was 5 or 6 controllers filling up an entire peg. All surrounding pegs were also full so it was obviously stocked this way by an employee of WalMart. Again, if WalMart hangs an item on a peg and puts a price on it I want it for that price. Simple as that.
  21. It's not my fault the employees can't stock the merchandise correctly. Is it the customer's responsibility to match sku numbers and upc numbers on all tags? If WalMart hangs an item on a peg and puts a price on it I want it for that price. Simple as that.
  22. Just got back from my local Target and there was zero Halloween stuff. I don't have a clue what this "one spot" stuff is. I did, however, find a nice workout shirt 75% in the mens dept on a clearance rack.
