  1. that's exactly how it works now, which is why i like it a whole lot better than before.
  2. i actually like this new method a lot better! it makes more sense to me this way. i sometimes like to type my whole text and *then* later on linked some words in the middle to a url. previously i had to create the link at the end of the texts, and copy pasted it to the middle where i wanted it. now it's a lot simpler, i just highlight the words that i wanted to be a link, type in the url, and it automatically made that highlighted text to be linked (that's what i did with this post, btw).
  3. ah finally :) i haven't had time to read the whole of Brad's post because we're just about to go out. i will have to read it later. so far i *really* like the new looks. good job!
  4. cool. thanks for the info. i didn't know this. milwaukee area is fine too i guess. of course johnson creek is even better :) if it's true then wow, the schaumburg one must have been really crazy when it first opened. after that they opened one up in minneapolis, and one more near chicago is opening in a couple of months, and in a couple of years, this one.
  5. ummm... no, i don't think so.. :) but since you mentioned my name i just gotta respond to this, lol. i don't use a bluetooth headset myself, but i have heard that motorola's line of bluetooth headsets are quite recommended (the jabra that jamesave mentioned are also good, and was *the* headset of choice a couple of years ago when bluetooth just got popular). the 850 is their best of the line, but please google people's reviews first to confirm that it does actually perform better than the rest of the HS8xx series. i have read conflicting stories about the HS8xx and some of them are better than the others. not sure which is which. if you have decided to get the 850, the best price i could find it for = $59.99, here it looks like it's a California chain. very limited (but ok) resellerratings review here
  6. IKEA traditionally have some really crazy deals going on opening days only, that's why people are lining up since early morning. what i can't understand is that they're opening another one near chicago although they already have one at schaumburg. these two are just about 30 miles apart. why so close together? it would make more sense if they open one near Wisconsin Dells or something like that, at least i'm sure my wife will like it more
  7. check HoFo GSM Buy/Sell/Trade forum. i found one $500 shipped and like new. it's way back on page 7 (these guys are only allowed to bump once every two days)
  8. 1. get the extra battery anyway. more than one is even better. you can always use it later and it's not going to expire until the next couple of years. it's better to have more backup than you will ever need rather than out of battery when you need it. 2. since you already have a 512+256, just buy one 1 GB card and i think you'll be fine. unless you're really crazy taking pictures. but if you said that you will fill the 512+256 in 3-4 days, then an extra 1 GB will last you through the whole trip, right? when you get home and you feel like you don't need all of those cards, you can always sell the 256 and/or the 512 and keep the 1 GB, this way you at least get something back. btw, if it's SD card i might be interested if you are selling for cheap :)
  9. it used to be easy to figure out which store has the deal, because it's included in the title, now my head has to make an extra move to the far right of the screen to find out the store (or, of course, read the post, but sometimes i just want to skim the titles). i believe this is particularly more significant for people with widescreen monitor :) also, since the store name is not on the title it does not show up in the rss feed. not a big deal at all to me, just a comment.
  10. it's the main site (gottadeal.com) that's upgraded. this forum remains the same.
  11. it looks great! i like the way the preferences is tied into my forum login.
  12. my cart above is still there after almost 24 hours. the price though, has changed from $761 to $791
  13. i wonder why it can't accept 4 sticks of 1 GB RAM. not that i'm going to ever need that much RAM.
  14. i guess i was just assuming that it's cheaper to get the RAM directly from Dell.
  15. nope. that's why i said it's good that i can configure it without a monitor.i already got the 1901FP for ~$250 with the deal about a month back, so i don't need the monitor. how does DPA works? do you know what kind of interest rate Dell is charging for it?
  16. i'm literally drooling right now after configuring my Dimension. i don't think i'm going to be able to justify the purchase though
  17. i just noticed that even the Dimension can be a good deal because you can configure it with 'no monitor'.
  18. please keep us updated on this. i would like to know which mATX Socket 939 board that you decided to get.
  19. that 'eww' reaction is for 'ghosting' effect when you play games, right? my VX-900 also has 25ms response time, and i never have any problem with ghosting (or anything else, for that matter). of course, i don't game.
  20. lol. i was going to post this when i received the buy.com e-mail this morning. the VX series from Viewsonic is awesome! i own the VX 900 and am extremely pleased with it.
  21. i received my shirt yesterday. thanks!
