To me it's just a really fun morning. I do not go wait in lines, but I am there when the stores open or right after. The last two years I have went with a good friend and we've had a great time together. Before that I would go by myself. It was "me" time without the kids and husband and I've enjoyed it. Yes, I did get some good deals too. :)

If you bought the DS Zelda or Dogz bundle at K Mart during Black Friday don't forget to send in your $25 rebate. I just filled out mine and if I remember correctly they have to be post marked by 12/7/07. Just wanted to give a reminder. :)

Target was the worst place we went to for check-out lines. We got into what we thought was the only line that was at the back of the store wrapping around electronics. My friend decided she'd walk up front to see what was going on. She called me on my cell and told me to get out of that line and come up into the other lines at the front. Needless to say even in that line (in the clothes, in front of the registers) it still took us 30 minutes to get thru.

We've owned ours since the first day they came out (waited in line at BB for it :) ). The wrist strap and the silicone jacket are the only two things different with the Wii's. The original wrist strap was too thin and was breaking.

Our Target at a ton of these today. The entire end cap was full.

I am a firm believer in contacting businesses corporate offices. I have had to do this both times we have purchased our computers and have done it several times with restraunts. Companies need and want to know what is going with their local stores. Please contact TRU corporate office and inform them of the rude and inappropriate behavior you experienced. There is no need for an employee (or anyone else for that matter) to touch you, especially an obvious pregnant lady. Let us know what happens.

No Wal Mart ad in any of our papers either. Usually the Wal Mart ad is in our base paper, but it wasn't in there. Nor was it mailed out, or in the Thursday local paper. Makes me wonder if they didn't want people to price match their stuff at other stores.

I think ours may have tried to do that. We were in a line all the way at the back of the store. My friend went up to the front and found that every register had it's own line that was WAY shorter than the one we were in. So we moved up, still took ust 35 minutes to check out though.

Woke up at 3am and was at JC Penney's by 4:10am. Bought a lot of Bobby Jack clothes for DD. Stood in line for opening at Target, that was a mad house. Didn't come away with too many things there, everything we wanted pretty much flew off the shelves. Did however price match stuff at Wal Mart, so that was wonderful. Went to K Mart at about 9:30am and actually found the Zelda DS bundle still there, WOW!!! It was a very successful day! The only two things I didn't find that were on my list were the $7 Lil' Pet Shop at Target and the $2.98 Spiderman movie at Wal Mart. I even bought two items at Best Buy.com on Turkey day. It was a great Black Friday for me. However now I'm beat. :) Hope everyone had a fun day.

Here in ND they were out on an end cap. Think the price was $34, but don't quote me on that. There were a ton of them here.

The Kohl's commercial is getting old! There's not even a Kohl's within a few 100 miles of me. :)

My Wal Mart & Target today had plenty of Mario Galaxy, Smarty Pants and Mario & Sonic Olympics. Guess I should've picked them up, but geez they must have had 15 copies of each one. We don't have a TRU around here.

Last year I assumed the doors would be locked till the sale started, but not so. We walked in about 15 minutes before the sale and there were people everywhere! I'm not sure what time Wal Mart actually opened, maybe midnight. People were lined up by whatever sale item they wanted. The sale items were still covered up by trash bags. As soon as the sale time started people tore thru those trash bags like crazy. The poor employees could only stand aside and watch the pallet empty. It was quite the mess.

There was a Batgirl Barbie put out a few years ago. Try searching on-line at the toys stores and Amazon for it. :)

Looks like Target will be the first place I stop. I'll go to Wal Mart, but it's not the place I'll be waiting in line at first thing in the a.m.

Oh for the love! I'm glad I read this. I was able to just cancel my ToysRUs order. I won't be in ND come Feb. 08' so I don't want to do pre-order to this address. Grrrrrrr

Super Smash Brawl is supposed to ship out on 12/8, I just pre-ordered it today from ToysRus.com I did the buy 2 get 1 free, one of the titles was out of stock after check-out so right now it only shows me buying one game and getting the second one free. Hopefully it stays that way. **Ugh, Feb. release date. Had to cancel my order as we'll be moving before Feb.**

Went and bought three games, after check-out it came back saying the Mario & Sonic Olympics was out of stock but it put the order thru for the other two. So I bought Mario Galaxy and Pre-order purchased Mario Super Smash Brothers Brawl and only paid for one!!! It gave me the second one free. :) **Had to cancel my order. Didn't realize Super Smash Brawl wasn't being released till 2/8. Now every game on the website that I want is unavailble. **

That is why I do not go to Best Buy. Holy moly that crowd never ended!

Wasn't this same bundle set at Target too? I would rather go to Target than try to fight the crowd at Best Buy.

Last year I gave the teachers winter scarves I had found 75% off after the previous winter, they were a great find. This year and in years past I give them the seasonal body washes that Sauve puts out. There are three this year (body washes). These make a great "pamper yourself" gift.

I've went BF shopping many times by myself (wife and mother of 2). I've always parked near lights in the parking lot, etc. just normal precautions. Inside the stores I've never had a problem alone. She should be just fine. :)
