I was there today grocery shopping with the kids. There was a table set up by the frozen foods with balloons, the kids got cupcakes, and I got a flyer on layaway. Nothing exciting except my kids were quiet for an aisle or two while the ate :)

We already know we are getting the kids the Wii as the big Santa gift this year. I remember the frantic searches last year - should I be buying it now, or will waiting be ok?? We won't need any of the "hot" new games, the kids already have their fav's picked out.

My younger set are 7, 4 and 2. The 7 year old is asking for more expensive things now (nintendo ds) and the 2 year old really couldn't care. What we do is the kids each get one big present from Santa, then have a certain number of presents under the tree each, usually around 5. If the 'big" present uses up most of their budget - well they will get $5 gifts under the tree LOL but I try to have them the same number of gifts, but spend about the same amount.
