  2. 10% off! coupon code LDVD5588 expires 12/15/2008
  3. Yeah, but how many little girls are going to remember to do this? What will most likely happen is that the girl will feed her, get tired of her and throw her in the toy box. 2 months later you're digging through her toy box trying to find the source of the mysterious odor, and you find baby alive stinkin to high heaven with maggots coming out of her "crevices".
  4. I paid $300.00 for 2 (two) brand new computers. One of which I gave to my cousin for Shristmas. She was so happy, she cried. That alone was worth all the hassle!
  5. I used my camera phone last year to get pics of the lines. I can't remember if I posted them or not. The lines were really that long and the cutters were outrageous. The best buy employees did not look as happy as they did in any of those videos though. It was pretty chaotic, but worth it in the end.
  6. Hey ya'll! I am in NC as well. This is my 2nd year at gottadeal and 3rd bf shopping. If it wasn't for this site I probably wouldn't have been able to get 2 of the $149.00 emachines last year and a few other deals. I saved some cash last year, but I am hoping to really maximize my dollar this year by utilizing some of the helpful tips yall have posted.
  7. we were second in line at 10pm last year
  8. I received this in my email. Thought the same thing as the OP. This dude has way too much time on his hands. i also like the trans orchestra better than the jingle bells. Pretty cool if its real though
  9. Well this year I've only spent $150 on DD and I feel like I've gotten her a lot (11 gifts. 2 big gifts). Other years I've bought the same amount of gifts and spent so much more. But I never looked for great deals before. I bought mainly at walmart and didn't pay attention to sales. I stretched my $ big time this time. I'm sure I could have done better though with some extra planning. I bought more of what I thought she would like and what she wanted instead of paying attention to the amount of cash or items. I do have one thing left to get and that is a skydancer, but I think i'm going to let other family members know that is what she wants and see if they'll get it for her. I honestly don't even want to go near another toy store/dept until her birthday rolls around lol

    Talking In Line

I enjoyed the people I was up front with. They were very nice. One family loaned me a pair of gloves and a hot hands and another let me use the bathroom in his rv. The guy behind us was a best buy employee and worked at the store we were shopping at so he was very helpful in telling us where to go once we got in and the inventory they had on the computers. Too bad it wasn't as organized as it was supposed to be once we were in there. I'd say I was only in there about 20 minutes or so though. Anyway, This one lady that was at least 30th in line kept coming up to the front of the line to schmooze us all into letting her up front with us. She even asked the BB employee if he would buy her computer for her because her husband was sick and was sleeping in the car and she wanted to be with him. He said no of course. She was a nice lady but it was all as* kissin. About 3:30 or so people started to get excited, put away the chairs and the line got pushed up. She kept on with her nonsense and we told her finally that she wasn't going to get a place up front because it was just unfair to everyone else. She tried to get her place back in line and there was a bunch of hollering back there and a bunch of upset people. I don't know if she was able to to get her computer or not, but I don't recall seeing her in line at all or in the computer section. If she just would have stuck it out and kept her place, I'm sure she would have gotten one as we did a count based on the inventory the best buy employee said they had (he counted). She definetly would have gotten one since most were there for the emachine and she had wanted the laptop. Oh the one crappy thing that happened was the police there got first pick on all the stuff! I couldn't believe it! They didn't even do a good job of keeping people from cutting or the crowd under control. they walked in and we heard the manager ask them if they wanted to buy anything and we saw them load 2 of the emachines onto a cart and wheeled over to the side and one of them had a handful of either dvds or games, I couldn't tell. Anyway, that wasn't fair at all!
  11. I would have worn warmer socks ( was wearing panty hose socks DUMB DUMB DUMB)and taken someones advice here to not wear jeans. I was freezing my cheechees off! I guess I would have worn more clothes overall and brought more blankets and would have dranks less fluids. I had to pee sooooo bad! Thankfully a guy we got to talking to that was in the front of the line with us brought his rv and let me use his restroom. I love that man! we got there a little before 10 and there was only one car in the parking lot when we arrived and nobody in line yet. we let that guy go ahead because he was officially first. Then he warned us he had people joining him and I regretted that, but they only got 5 computers total so it turned out ok. They also mostly arrived before the rest of the people started lining up so there were no fights with them. They loaned me a pair of gloves and one of those hothands things! They were awesome! It was all worth it though. We got our emachine and we got one for my aunt to give to my cousin for christmas. She is going to be sooo happy! Her computer is more than 10 years old. She can't even play at pogo, her computer cant handle it. And it takes YEARS to access her email. In less than a month she will get the best gift she has received in a long time and I had a part in it which makes me very happy.
  12. I went shopping at Bestbuy. I got there a a little before 10pm and was second in line. We only got 2 $149.00 emachines from there and then took off to toysrus where I got... Barbie drums Barbie Pet doctor Barbie fairytopia Barbie Convertable bug vtech laptop lil tykes keyboard and bratz styling head thing. After my $10.00 off on barbie coupon and my $5.00 off on $25 coupon, I Only spent a little over $88.00! The computer was completely worth the frost bitten toes and the chaos at best buy. I took pics of the lines with my camera phone that I will upload later. Right now I need to sleep! Way to go on your deals, guys! I hope its worth every minute of preparation and time spent campin out!
  13. Right, it is 10% off. I saved like $10.51 or something which was nice. Are you sure those are one time use only? I copied those off the board. I played the game and got some in my email but I deleted them so I just used the ones on the board. Perhaps nobody had used those codes before me. Who knows. But still a pretty good deal.
  14. I bought all my Old navy stuff online just now. I used these coupon codes that I got off of the coupon/freebie board. $10 off $100 B12HDSV9KBTH Free shipping on $75 or more B12CJW13GGTD They are stackable so I saved $15.00 and got gifts for the majority of the people on my list! One less place I need to go!
  15. ahhh ok. I think I read sumfin about that last night. I wasnt really interested int he camera. It sounded good after the 10% off and that I could get it online instead of making a special trip. Yeah, congrats to the folks that got it.
  16. its already a goner, the site says. and the price says 159.99? maybe ya linked the wrong one?
  17. my plans revolve around that $149 emachine so I'm still not sure until I see on their site that it will be that price in my area. I can't make official plans as of yet since the ads seem to change depending on your area. Here is my unoffical plan anyway, Bestbuy 9-10pm get my puter and run out Toysrus or walmart (walmart is next door to BB but if it looks too crazy im not going) then to the mall for the rest of the sales I want to hit. Belk, childrens place, dicks and gymboree.

    In TRU today

is the gift card just this week or will it be on bf too? how much was the gift card?
  19. Our 24 hr supercenter walmart closes at some point on thanksgiving, i think it is 6pm. Then reopens for BF. I think doing it that way works out for everyone. People who need money can work the holiday and still get a little time with family.
  20. Hum how do u find out if yoru puter has a wireless desktop card installed. I knew I needed a router to hook up 2 computers, but didn't think about the cards. Do I need 2 cards for 2 computers?
  21. First of all, I just wanted to say....this smiley is awsome! Anyway, I have no plans to do this as I already stated. I just need one and my aunt is coming a long with me to get one for my cousin. I am not shocked that they are limiting one per household. In fact, I am pleased they are doing this today because I need one LOL I will probably be pissed if someone lets a group of 30 people cut into the line for this purpose. That is unfair. If you're not out there earlier than I am, then you shouldn't get first dibs on everything. If you're out there standing in the cold hours earlier, take an extra puter, you deserve it, man! Dats all i'm saying
  22. My walmart bf ad doesn't show that tv at all. Must a regional thing, too?
  23. So, if I purchased several items to resell, somehow my purchase would be less honest? In the eyes of someone desperate to get it as well, I guess it could be seen that way. I don't see it as being anymore dishonest than someone hiding the items they want to buy in order to come back later to get it or buying it ahead of time so they can PM later. This site is full of ideas on how to get what you want for the price you want to purchase it. But "hording" items for resell-that is unforgivable! LOL Do you play the stock market? Isn't the goal when playing to buy low and sell high? Would it be smart to buy 1 share in a company that you know will go through the roof, just because you're worried that some other dude is going to come along and wish they had a piece of the pie as well? Or would you get all that you could hoping to make a major profit? Would u hang onto that one share when its at its peak just because you feel its wrong for someone to make a profit? That's what I thought! You may disagree with it right now because you're feeling desperate to get those items on your shopping list and you're hoping to discourage people from buying several that they do not need in order to secure your purchase. Thats fine and well. I'm hoping someone in front of me doesn't have this in mind as either. But do I feel it's wrong for them to do this? Well I might for a minute if I am unable to get my $149 computer, but ultimately I know it's really just good thinking on their part. And yes, a lot of people do shop on ebay because they don't want to leave their house and they enjoy the bid war. Just as much, if not more than we enjoy the bf rush. If someone is silly enough to pay 300 times more than a product is going for elsewhere, then so be it. People who sell on ebay are not evil. I am able to only work part time in a real job because of ebay. No, I am not lazy. I am just a smart mama who doesn't want to give someone half my paycheck to raise my kid. If that's dishonest, then so F*ckin be it!
  24. apparently everyone else is getting a different deal on those. Read the other posts about this
