  1. Thank heavens your dd is alright :)

I am sorry this happened. I can't imagine how much of a pickle this put you in. Is your car fixable or is it totalled? You can still do the holidays- just make it all smaller. Try home made gifts for some.

Keep your chin up :) Have a positive outlook and maybe your luck may change- ya never know :)

This is your favorite time of year-keep it that way :D

  2. Thanks for your opinions everybody :)

He asked for a few things they need for the apartment and he asked for clothes :eyepoppin I was shocked by that. Of course when I asked him what he wants for Christmas- he said a PS3-he knows better-the lil turkey. I will cut back somewhat, but not a whole lot. As far as his girlfriend. OMG- I have no clue what to get her. She's a bit strange to me sometimes. Hard to read. I know she has several peircings-her lip (twice) and eyebrows and has those plug things in her ears, so maybe I can get her some body jewelry. Her style is a mix between punk/goth. I'm lost shopping for that stuff. I will ask my son what she likes. I do want to get her something more personal because she is a HUGE part of my sons life. That means no candles lol ;)

    Thanks again :D

  3. I have 3 kids ages 19,18 and 15. My 19 year old lives on his own in a town about 45 minutes away. He lives with his girlfriend.

Here is my question. I always spend the same amount on the kids-but I think now that my oldest is on his own, I should spend a bit less. Does that seem fair? I will be buying for his girlfriend too now. I just think that once they are adults, I should cut back a bit. I know my 18 year old is at home, but my oldest was home at 18 too, and I spent the same on him then too.

    Opinions please :)

  4. We will be getting a new matress set along with an awesome bedroom suite I picked out yesterday at Ashley Furniture. It will be a king and we have a queen now so I will be in need of king size bedding for my new set. :D

    And world peace ;)

  5. Is anybody not using their AA coupon from their entertainment book? I tried using my moms, but she confuses easily and I don't think she is giving me the right numbers to input on their website. I don't buy the entertainment book because I am 42 miles from St. Louis and 53 miles from Springfield-those are the only places I could get entertainment books for- so it's useless for me.

We are buying 5 R/T tickets on AA tonight so I was hoping to save the 5% :)

    Thanks,

    Jodi

  6. There is a DG next to my office. I keep buying Christmas crap everytime I step in there :( You can't beat 90% off for petes sake :)

The lunch table in the back room is full of DG bags full of crap :gd_shake: I need to take it all home :tongue1:

  7. I hope this is the right place to put this.

It's time for a new phone through Verizon and I am very interested in this phone. It's either that or the LG VX8300.

Online I can get either phone free- free shipping and free activation. At Walmart, I can get the LG free but pay $23.88 for the Samsung. However, the Samsung comes with a bluetooth headset and the audio transfer software and cable.

I'm in a pickle. I really want a headset!! I really want the audio crapola too :tongue1: I think $23.88 for those things are a great deal. The audio thingy is $40 alone.

As usual- my husband says stick with the free :wife: Cheapskate ;)

    Help me decide :gd_shake:

  8. Does this include air? The $1600 package I've seen on TV does. Hubby just said those dates would work for us, I'm checking into it tomorrow! Thanks

I don't think so. I priced air through them for my trip and it was $1,500 for just 4 of us flying out of St. Louis  As of now, we are driving :cry2: because airfare is outrageous. I'm hoping for a good DING soon or for fare to drop a bit as we get closer to the date.

My AAA agent did apply the changes to my ressy, but it was either or. I wanted the upgrade to the waterparks, so I lost my AAA room discount (you have to pay rack rate to get the deal) however, by dropping down to just a 7 day base ticket ( I was paying for a park hopper) the $$ difference covered the AAA room rate difference. It's confusing. See, when we got there, we were going to purchase water parks and more for my 2 teens for a few days- hubby and I have no interest. This saved me a couple hundred $$ with this new special. Also if you book with AAA during the month of January- you get a $25 Disney gift card too :D

I'm too excited about this trip. WDW is my favorite place on earth :D

Oooh, I forgot to mention- I have ressies to eat at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom- It has all the Pooh characters- My Eeyore !!!

  9. I hope this is the right place to put this. This deal saved me some major $$$, I hope others can use it. I used it on my Moderate resort package I had booked through AAA. I think you can apply it to Deluxe resorts too.

Here is Disneys phone number for reservations 407-939-7675 :D
