  1. Don't forget, you can just write the dcpi number down and enter it manually on the price checker thing! On the right are the number buttons. Just enter the numbers and press enter! I JUST realized I could do this! I had been DRAGGGGGING all these big boxes over to the scanners and now I just write the number down (have some pen/paper handy)!
  2. I guess Target made the right decision this year to stagger their discounts. I'm so surprised that toys are still moving at 50% off! Every time I go back to a Target store I can't believe how much emptier the shelves are just from the day before. I've gone to Target(s) every day since Wednesday and each day I notice that there are NO more markdowns but things are STILL moving! I've been keeping my eye on things that I want that are now at 30 and 50% off and each day I see that the supply of them gets smaller and smaller! I might have to bite the bullet and get some things before they run out. Darn you Target!
  3. We also got this for $17.48. It was originally $69.99. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51l8Nm0py-L._SS400_.jpg DCPI ####204070750 King Arthur Battle Action Castle
  4. Just got the Step 2 Deluxe Canyon Road Train & Track Table for $24.99 (originally $99.99) It was way up high on the shelf and still had the $69.99. I asked the associate to double check and it rang up as $24.99! Funny thing was, she was INSISTING that it was a mistake and that "We'd never sell that for just $24." I was telling her about the other items (luckily that I had) that were scanning as lower than the sticker price. She had to call another associate to get it from the top shelf so he came with one of those automatic ladder things. The older lady tells him, "That table is ringing up as $24.99" and he's way up high so he can see the red sticker and he's like, "Nope. It's $69.99." So then they talk for a bit then scan it again and it comes up as 75% off. Good grief! Seemed like they really had no idea what was going on! http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51oMeDKiO9L._AA260_.jpg
  5. I guess you just have to make sure there are any left before you return. I'm not sure about these Kid Tough DVD players though. I just have a feeling once they hit 75% off one Ebayer will just take all of them.
  6. That's what I was thinking of doing but there are posts here that mention you only get what the clearance item is scanning for at the time of the return. This policy is for clearance/seasonal merchandise (but not for regular merchandise). Is that not true?
  7. That's what i was told at one of my Targets. I asked about certain things going from 50-75% and she said, "It TOTALLY depends on our inventory for that item." It makes it so hard to decide if I should just get something at the 50% before it sells out but then if more people buy them they'll go to 75% then they'll REALLY sell out! So confusing...
  8. Is TRU continually marking down their clearance or is it just staying there at the same price? Anyone know?
  9. Thanks for the info! I live about 4 miles from the S. Independence Target. It's a good store but it's just so crowded ALL the time so it's hard to get the good deals! I've had much better luck at the new Target at Red Mill Commons and the remodeled Target at Military Highway. It seems like there aren't as many clearance shoppers at the Military Hwy one.
  10. Is this the Target in the shopping center with Babies R Us and Old Navy? I forget the name of it. Do you remember what the DVD players are at? 50%?
  11. No kidding me. I was looking forward to this being over and done with and now it seems like this may drag on for weeks! For your stores that did markdowns on Wednesday, when are you checking back for the 50% to go to 75%? At one of my Targets the associate said "end of this week or beginning of next week" but the other one said "Wednesday and not a day earlier." So it seems like they MAY not follow a regular schedule and just markdown after just a few days/randomly.
  12. Was this at Target on S. Independence??? I was there around 3 and put the knives in my cart. Then, I decided I didn't really want them since it would use up counterspace (I like to keep my counters clear) so I put it back. It was on the endcap in the housewares section, right? Regular price $19.99 and clearanced at $4.99. It was the only one I noticed!!
  13. So any guesses as to why Target is staggering the discounts this year? It would make sense to me to just discount everything at 75% and get rid of it all! Could it be the economy? Could it just be a one year trial thing? I can't imagine the workers in the Toy department are appreciating it much. The constant phone calls, price checks, scanning, reshelving, rearranging and customers in your way! And who knows how many weeks this is going to go on?!
  14. I'd say from all the toys that were 30% off -about a fourth of them went to 75% today? Maybe a wee bit more than a fourth. Then a fourth were at 50% and half were still at about 30%.
  15. It was on an end cap near the toys. I hadn't seen them in the store before! They are super cute and have a little hour glass that you can turn!
  16. Here are my purchases from today from 2 different Targets.. The weird thing is that my receipt doesn't show the original price -just the discounted price. So I'm not sure of some of the original prices. And before each item is "NFC" not sure what that stands for (something 'final clearance'?). 204090374 Little Tikes Climb & Slide Castle: originally $69.99 paid $17.25 This was on the top of my wish list. Like I mentioned earlier, I called 2 Targets at 9am and both were scanning at $48.xx but when I went to one later it was $17.25. They must have done markdowns during the day! http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/412XRF9497L._AA260_.jpg 086022268 Bratz Lil' Angelz Pet Doctor Time Play Set originally $24.99 paid $6.24 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/415f%2BdoJN4L._AA260_.jpg 086022117 My Little Pony Ponyville Carrying Case (comes with 4 Little Ponies) originally $14.99 paid $3.74 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41XXCjG0CmL._AA260_.jpg 086120350 Flower & Dinosaur Tooth Brush Holders (these come with little hour glasses!) originally $11.99 paid $2.98 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/410R3rUejjL._AA260_.jpg http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41B%2BHPrLOEL._AA260_.jpg 204031075 Ocean Wonders Aquarium with Remote originally $34.99 paid $9.04 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51qUTDqDJxL._AA260_.jpg 204031075 Fisher Price Sesame Street Learning Fun laptop originally paid $7.48 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/519Cwp1%2BuYL._AA260_.jpg 204033014 Sesame Street Elmo's World Silly Sounds Guitar originally $27.99 paid $6.98 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41wKoN%2B2F1L._AA260_.jpg 204033031 Fisher-Price Little People Learn About Town playset $44.99 paid $12.48 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/511uYlWqE%2BL._AA260_.jpg Not sure about the original prices on these since I couldn't find them on the target website. 204070717 Sesame Street Abby Cadabby K'nex $3.74 204070740 Dora Megablocks set $1.74 086050260 Barbie Wand $1.88 086022088 Littlest Pet Shop Advent Calendar 2 @ $3.24 each
  17. I'm glad you heard the same thing from your Target associate. Mine also said end of the week/early next week. Seemed like he was the manager because I asked a younger girl first (she was scanning the toys while I was there!) and she said she wasn't sure and pointed to the other guy and said, "He should know!" so I asked him. He seemed "pretty" sure that there would be no additional markdowns tomorrow but I'm not leaving it to chance! I'll also be hitting the Target that had only 30% off. It'll be interesting if they do ALL 75% or do it like the other two Targets with some at 50% and some at 75% (and some remaining at 30%).
  18. Seriously! I'm planning to hit the 30% off Target tomorrow too! BTW, are you going to try your Target again -the one with the 75% discounts you got today? I'm wondering if they'll do additional markdowns even though the manager at one of them said they wouldn't. But maybe he just wasn't sure (or maybe he was wrong).
  19. A HUGE thanks for the heads up. After I read your post I booked it to my Target and that's indeed how it was! There was still a full aisle with 30% off and the second aisle had half 50% off and half 75% off! The best thing was, there were only a few of us shopping so I could get lots of things on my wish list! The same thing at Target #2 but then Target #3 still had everything at 30% off. The Target associate I talked to (I think he was the manager) told me exactly what the PP said. That SOME toys were marked at 50/75% off TODAY so the 50% offs won't go to 75% until a few days later (he said possibly by the end of the week but mostly likely early next week). Said things were being done a little differently this year. The crazy thing was, I thought I was being careful by calling 2 different Targets WITH a dcpi number and they were both still ringing up at 30%. The guest services cashier looked it up and everything! This was around 9am. They apparently did mark downs DURING THE DAY because when I went around 3pm the same item was now at 75% off! FYI: It was the Little Tykes Castle Slide originally $69.99 that I got (the last one) for $17.xx!!!! I recommend checking your Targets personally and not relying on what they tell you on the phone -EVEN if you have an dcpi number! I'm so glad I went today because I would have missed out on all the deals by Thursday morning!
  20. I'm wondering if my Target already did the few 75% offs though. I remarked earlier in this thread that a few of the toys in the 30% area were already at 75% off and it was labeled on the red sticker so you just have to look carefully. I've decided to go ahead and check my Target store today JUST to be sure!
  21. Thanks! That's good to know! I'm getting excited seeing all your deals!
  22. Virginia Beach, Virginia checking in here. Just called my 2 Targets with a DCPI # and at both stores it was still ringing up at 30% off. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day!
  23. Argh. I know what you mean! Back in the day, for ANY of the clearance sales you could have your pick of whatever you wanted. Now, I guess word has gotten around. I was so bummed that wind of the toy clearance sale popped up on this parenting message board that I frequent. SOooOOOOO many people didn't know about it and now they're all, "When is it? I'm going to go!"
  24. I think $48.30 is the discounted price. It was $69 (?) before the 30% discount. I've got my eye on this one!
