Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009
Luv2Scrapbook replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I had 2 in 2 different Targets and when I went to get them they both scanned at 75% off. There were none on the shelves at that time. Remember, there's a good chance that other people have also 'misplaced' and simply asked the SA to scan it before you (that's what I was counting on). OR, like someone else said, they just activate them from the regular bar code they have. -

Oh, I was just quoting another person's reply. They were the one that was looking for the rocket. Thanks for the offer though! -

I *think* there were some lil einstein's at the Red Mill Commons Target (the new one). THey were on the endcaps. They DID have about 5 of the S'mores pony as did the First Colonial Target for 75% ($49?). If either of you are interested the First Colonial Target still has the puppet theater, rocking horse and 2 of the older boy workbenches that comes with a car you can put together. I noticed they all have the red sticker on them but only the 30% off price. I know they are at 75% though because I got a puppet theater and train table from there 2 weeks ago and they were already at 75%. S. Independence still had 3-4 Didjis left. On the bottom shelf for $22. -

Yeah, I found them today too. I thought it was too good to be true for $3.94 regular price. I read the back and apparently you have to send in $6.95 for "shipping and handling" to get the caterpillar and food. So actually it's $10+. I had assumed you'd get them for free if you sent in the info from the box or something. -

Hit 2 of my Wednesday Markdown Targets today and both were at 75% off. I was able to get my misplaced DVD players at each of them. I was surprised they even scanned at 75% off. I'm wondering if other people stashed some as well. I was so bummed that I JUST missed the Kid Jamz studio. As I was checking out I noticed another mom with her cart full and she grabbed the last one! I hate it when that happens! -

Wow! Was this in your regular clearance section? Maybe it's a regional thing because I haven't seen that on the shelves at all! -

Oy. I hope that doesn't mean EVERYTHING won't be marked down to 75% Wed or Thurs!!! Why bother scanning SOME things if there isn't even that much clearance left? kwim? Even my Targets have such small clearance sections now! You'd think they'd have just done it all! -

I'm wanting the DVD player to replace our VideoNow Jr. They don't really sell the discs anymore so a regular dvd player would be much better. Also, the VideoNow Jr. has bumpers on the sides but as soon as it gets bumped it opens right up! I just need a small screen since it's for my 1 year old and she the size of the VideoNow Jr. screen she's used to is seriously tiny! -

I wonder how likely it will be that people will be able to FIND the FP DVD player. From comments here it seems like everyone and their mother is waiting for the 75% off!! Because all the Targets I've been to either have 1 or 0 on the shelves. Could it be that there are hundreds or thousands of them "stashed" somewhere and they'll make miraculous reappearances sometime this week?? If not, I just don't see how everyone who is on the hunt for one will be able to get it. -

Do you guys think it's a pretty sure thing that most of the toys will go to 75% off this week either Wednesday or Thursday?? What's the concensus? -

Burt's Bees Tips n' Toes Hands and Feet Kit for $3.48 originally $12.99. I found 3 packs in the cosmetics/shampoo endcap. There was another kit (I think some kind of outdoor survival kit from Burt's Bees but that was still only 50% off at $6.xx). It comes in a zippered case! http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-29523360387793_2037_1347098549 -

It's actually on the booksamillion site. It says ages 4-7. Make sure to check all the endcaps AND books! Hope that helps! -

http://images.barnesandnoble.com/images/33660000/33662138.JPG I got 4 of these at 2 different Targets! I believe they were $3.xx. This book is really awesome because there are "accessories" on each page! Things like a tiara, handkerchief, sunglasses, a fan and other cute items! I found them in the book clearance end cap AND at another random endcap near the perfumes/shampoo etc -maybe because there are toiletry-type items in it? And one other book that was a Target exclusive also for $3.xx. Comes with books and glitter crayons, stickers and some wand-like pen! -

Just like everyone else, my "Thursday Target" (the target that does markdown thursday instead of wednesday like the other 2) just marked down from 30% to 50% on SOME items and 50 to 75% on a very very few. I did get some of those cute owl sleeping bags/backpacks with sleeping bag, water bottle and flashlight for $2.98. They had a ton but I noticed lots of people picking them up. Markdown teams were all over the store though. Got lots of deals in the home section like organizing baskets and wooden pant hangers ($1.49 for a pack of 2). They were packing UP all the baby clearance to mark it in the back which was a big bummer because there were lots of us shopping in the section. We were told essentially, "tough luck and come back later when we bring it back out." I mean, why mark things down in the middle of day when there are lots of shoppers??!! So disappointed in the lack of 75% off discounts in the toy department though. I mean, aren't they tired of these clearance toys taking up all the space and not going anywhere? -

Seriously!!! I went to 2 of my Targets today. They were the ones that did markdowns last Wed. (instead of Thursday). I saw the markdown teams there at BOTH and they were scanning away. UNFORTUNATELY, barely anything was getting marked-down!!! They were just scanning and moving on since none of the prices were changing! I even brought them the DVD player I had stashed and it came up as only 50% at both stores! I'm assuming that lots of the 30% are going to 50% and nothing much else. Anyway, there really isn't much left. Seems like the only things that are left are the really unpopular items that have multiple items still there. How disappointing. -

Anyone with Wednesday markdowns last week have any info about new mds today? -

Ours did too and they went FAST. I *think* the one on the shelf is packaged a little differently. The picture on the front is different from the original. My DD got this for her birthday back in November and the package looks different from the one on the shelves for full price now. -

Forgot to mention that yesterday I noticed the Shiatsu Foot Massager with Heat for $12.49 (originally $49.99). These are awesome. My husband has one under his desk at work and he loves it! He's had it for 3+ years. And 2009 Calendars for $2.xx and $1.xx. I picked up a Speed Racer calendar for my son and a Mary Englebreit for myself. They also had Thomas Kincaid, Hot Wheels, Hannah Montana and Camp Rock. They were in a big stack in the stationary clearance end cap as well as the toiletries end cap. Did anyone notice the huge number of clearance items in the Home dept?? There is one aisle where the entire side is all towels and they all have red clearance tags next to the bar code on the shelf. And it looks like most of the Shabby Chic is on clearance as well since they have the red stickers. Looks like I'm going to be quite busy for the next month or so! -

I hope this is the case!!! But then, if they can just activate the new prices, why do they bother scanning in the first place? -
Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009
Luv2Scrapbook replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I just realized something... If there is only ONE item (i.e. the DVD player) and I "stashed" it away, it won't get scanned. Does that mean it won't ring up as the newly discounted price?????? -

That's what I keep telling myself. But I really like the fact that it's protected against falls (my DD is in the 'throwing things' phase') and the fact that it's not a flip top so they can watch it anywhere. I have a feeling though, that once it hits 75% everywhere it's a race against all the E-bayers. -

Yes. The numbers are exclusive to all Targets I believe. BUT you might want to check if the toy is even there first. I'd be disappointed to see the DVD players come up as 75% then go to look and can't find any! I'm not sure if the price would come up if the store has 0 in stock though. Anyone know?
