  1. My daughter is still young enough that if I don't point it out or take her to the store she doens't know to want it. Thank you playhouse disney and noggin for no commercials for toys. :) That doll is creepy though, I woulnd't buy it.
  2. Do they even sell trees this early anywhere? If they do, I'd like to get one. My husband is going TDY the Sunday afterThanksgiving until the Saturday before Christmas. With 2 kids under 2 I really don't want to go out buy and select a tree and put it up without him, but it's sad to wait til 2 days before Christmas to start decorating.
  3. wow, that's awesome. Is that the price right now at Target?
  4. I'll wait to go to TRU during their 12 days of christmas deals if they do it again this year. I loved it last year. I got some great deals, even if I did have to go back to the store on my way home from work 3 days in a row.
  5. I've never seen rain checks on black friday
  6. TARGET!!! Hopefully they can't beat the BB and Walmart ads.
  7. Does anyone know when Black Friday started? I know it's been going on for awhile. Anyway, I just wanted to know what everyone's first Black Friday memories are. When I was younger my mom went out by herself and we stayed home with Dad. When I got a little older, 9 or 10, I begged to go to and was amazed at the amount of people and the fightitng and the excitement of it all. I think we were at Toys R Us to get a game boy for my brother. It was crazy. My mom went one way to get the game boy and then cause I was so small she had me slip through the crowds to get other things while she waited with the cart. Good Times. After that I was hooked and I've been going ever since. I love Black Friday.
  8. I'm gonna be in Naples, FL. Ave. low of 60. But the record low is 37. Seriously though, you get used to warm weather all year long, and it's a little chilly when it gets to the 60s. But I feel for everyone who has to sit through the snow and cold. I've survived Black Fridays in both colorado springs and DC.
  9. We have a card. Maybe the pass will be waiting for me when I get home.
  10. WOW! That's great. Too bad we don't have those stores in FL.
  11. I got this camera a while ago and I love it. It takes really nice pictures and it's so small so it fits nicely into my purse. I take it everywhere.
  12. I may be behind, but Target's not doing it anymore???
  13. I agree, but there's only so much you can do. It always happens that someone is saving spots for people. But expecially last year witht he laptops, it got heated. I didn't start it, but this lady behind me was about to fight when three people joined a person a couple spots in front of me and then they all god tickets. The worst thing that happened that morning, which made me really mad was that when the store owners opened the doors, they didn't hold off the people who had been sitting in their cars the whole time or just pulled up. The people who had been waiting for hours ended up going after the ones who walked up becasue they opened all the doors at once and we were sectioned off with ropes so we could only go through one door. People were HOT!!!! If that happens again, I may resort to violence. Ok, probably not, but I'll be mad.
  14. BB was ok mostly for dvds and cds but I was hoping for good deals on camcorders. I need the other ads. I'm getting a little sad I can't get into the Black Friday spirit cause all these stupid stores are holding thier ads so close. Come on, there's only about 2 weeks left, let the ads go.
  15. Right now, BB, btu hopefully other stores will have better deals.
  16. I hope we get some good stuff soon. Last year at this time I was comparing and researching laptops and cameras on the internet. If they hold off too long, or release different ads on Thanksgiving, I'm screwed. I like to plan while I'm at work, so my Thanksgiving holiday is free to spend with family.
  17. everywhere I've seen, the ads come out on Thanksgiving Day. But if you don't get a paper, you could look up the ads online on Thanksgiving and the stores should have them posted on their sites. Good Luck.
  18. If you trust your 13 yo, it's fine to leave them in charge for a couple of hours. People do that all the time. Plus they'll most likely be sleeping and you'll get back soon after they wake anyway. Just let them know who's in charge and make sure your oldest has your numbers and wakes up before the youngest ones.
  19. It really depends on how your pregnancy is going and how you feel. In 2003 I was 5 months preg and in 2005 I was 7 1/2 months and I was out waiting early. (I really wanted a laptop last year ) I didn't feel really bad, just hungry by the time I finished the major stores around 9. :) If you feel good, go. it helps if you have someone with you also.
  20. Please let us know how to get a shopping pass. :)
  21. I don't have the codes with me, I'll see if I still have them at home when I get done with work. You can go to the sephora website and sign up for their newsletter and catalog and they will send you special deals in there. It's never % off or anything, but they do give you more samples and deluxe samples which are pretty good. I order online all the time because they are never sold out like in the store and you get free shipping on over $75. I go to the store if I need to see colors and then buy online so I can get the free samples.
  22. They'v now extended the deadline to April 4th.
  23. I have used both sites, and the blockbuster instore 2 at a time deal. Blockbuster online is really slow, and they don't have as many movies to choose from. Netlix has a lot of movies and they are generally pretty fast. You send the movie one day and they get it the next day and ship your movie out the same day (during the week) and you get it the next day. The best is the instore blockbuster deal, but it's only worth it if you have a blockbuster really close to you. Ours is like 15-20 mins away, so netflix is the best for us. We have the 4 movie at a time plan and it's only about $20 I think.
  24. Our Santa doesn't wrap presents. He leaves one or two nice unwrapped things under the tree. Then they're the first things they see. We don't wrap stocking stuff either. I didn't know people did that. I figured inside the stocking they were hidden enough. I like learning how other people's christmas events go.
