  1. we made christmas cookies on christmas eve and left out a plate for santa. i remember getting pajamas when I was little, but as we got older my mom moved christmas til later in the morning because we were too lazy to get up before 9 so we just got dressed up before presents. I just bought my daughter some reindeer pajamas, so maybe I'll start that again.
  2. My daughter is a year and a half. I put some cookies (my dh tried to put candy in there, maybe he thinks he's getting double if he does that. :) ) We also put in some sm beanies from disney store and a tiny board book. I may throw an orange in there on christmas morning. I'm so excited though. Last year she was too young to understand anything that was going on really, but now she can open presents and play with things. I'm more excited for her to finally open the things bought her almost a month ago than to get anything myself. Yea christmas. <- her <-- me & DH
  3. i got the leappad table for 19.99 and the toys/games on BF. And DVD sets that were on sale at CC. Oh, the 512 SDs from CC on BF were 9.99. I got an e-mail the other day saying my 2 rebates were being processed. So while I paid 60 for the two of them, should be getting 50 back.
  4. we paid 60 for a douglas fir that was I think about 6ft. I guess the farther you live from trees the more you have to pay. We're down in Florida.
  5. I ordered a bunch of books and just got them in the mail yesterday. Lots quicker than the 21 days they predicted.
  6. I get e-mails like that from ebay and paypal all the time. If I didn't just make a purchase, I immediatly forward it to paypals spam address. If you are ver unsure, just open another window and log in to check. I never click links in e-mails anymore. The bad guys are jus getting too good with their fake sites and e-mails.
  7. overstock has good deals on bedding, and there are coupons somewhere in this forum too.
  8. CC (arrived @ 2am) (live to checkout was forever) -didn't get the laptop (i think everyone in the world was there for it) - HP all in one printer - 2 512 SD memory cards - a bunch of DVDs - shredder Target (arrived at 7:15) - cabbage atch baby - DVDs - fishing, memory, cootie, tp pop culture, 3 scene it games - little people zoo nursery - graco play baby funiture -not advertised in paper, but great deal $28 (40 @ TRU) - kodak 5mp camera Best Buy (arrived at 8:00) - 2 DVDs - PS2 game Walmart (arived at 8:30) - cabbage patch newborn - little people zoo - dora pillow doll - DVDs except CC, I got everything I was looking for even though we weren't at those stores first. so excited walmart still had cp and little people. And, except for CC which was crazy (normal BF stuff) the stores we went to were all about average weekend morning traffic and we didn't wait in line for more than a couple mins to checkout, even BB. I'm shopping there again next year.
  9. I just watched the clip. They make it sound like this site is forcing people to look at this stuff . There are disclaimers that have been posted everytime a new scan comes in that it's not "official" . It's just a way to plan a little early or research different brands/products before you decide. I know I researched all the digital cameras to see which I liked best and I wouldn't have had time to do that if I got the ads Thurs. It's not fraud, you're just providing free information to people. And those people in the parking lot were funny, they were just making comments based on whatever he told them. They didn't know the truth either.
  10. I think all the stores SD cards are AR
  11. the 512 is 9.99 at cc. I think i'm just gonna get 2 of those.
  12. which is better between the hp at best buy and the epson at cc?

    Walmart commercial

They've been having commercials on FOX for BF, and the one with the laptop said the price was 378. The only disclaimer was that the prices are not effective in Alaska, Hawaii, PR and Wisconson. In case anyone is still confused about their walmart prices.

    cabbage patch

Thanks. I was just wondering because I've never seen one that says newborn in all the stores I've been to, only babies. I'll go by walmat this afternoon and see if they have any.

    cabbage patch

Just a quick question, and this may sound stupid, but is the cabbage patch newborn the same as the cabbage patch baby that's being sold at other stores? I tried to do a search to see if there was a discussion about them earlier, but I can't find that option anymore.
  16. I remember that employee said the ad for sun would have better prices than on BF, but no. Compared to what we've seen that's supposed to be on sale on BF these aren't very good. Oh, well. 4 1/2 more days.
  17. they have to be having some kind of deal. I went by there today and they had a sign that said they were gonna open at 5am. I think I went there on BF last year too, somewhere around the middle of the day, and they had some pretty good deals on clohtes and toys.
  18. how do we know what price they got it for? or are they using the msrp?
  19. I posted this in the electronics forum, butI'm gonna post here to since these cameras are on sale this weekend and BF and I really wanna get one soon. any advice? Ok, after much researching I have narrowed it down to 4-5 cameras, so now I need help. Does anyone have any comments/suggestions or have you used the phone. Canon SD500(maybe SD550)- these 2 phones are virtually the same, only the 550 has a slightly larger screen. The only bad thing I've heard is that some peoples screens cracked on the 500, haven't heard of any cracking on the 550. Fuji F10- this has lower mp than the canon (7.2 vs fuji's 6.1) but the iso is higher so it can take low light pictures w/o a flash. Kodak Z730- haven't heard too much about this one, but it's a 5mp with 4x optcal zoom I think. Sony DSC-W7- This is my final option. It has 7mp, but I heard the picture quality wasn't quite as good as the canon. Please let me know what you think. I'm hoping to get one in the next week. I'm checking prices, and they are pretty close, but I'm willing to pay a little more fora better camera, I just don't want to go to SLR because they are too big, otherswise I would get the canon S1 I2.
  20. i'm afraid to drink anything cause i'm too pregnant and i have to pee all the time already. i'm gonna try not to drink anything from mid till i'm done with the first store. i guess i'll just bring candy and gum.
  21. CC would win, bt half their stuff is after mir and their pc/laptops are only great with the aol sign up. i'm sticking to bb

    5 more days!!!!!

I think that's probably the only neg thing about having an idea early about what will be on sale. Before I would just be planning thanksgiving and then go crazy thurs morning with the ads. now i know what I want, and i'm too excited to just go shopping, so thanksgiving is kinda an afterthought right now. :)
  23. usually I talk to my husband or play games on my cell. He's deployed this year, so I'm going it alone (plus 7 1/2 mo preg). My phone is also about to die so I need to buy a new one, and I won't be able to play games for more than 10 mins before the battery will be gone. I'll probably just read the ads over again doing last minute planning and talk to other people in line.

    Sprint phones

I saw that they had a good deal for the new Samsung phones from sprint, but I couldn't read what all the conditions were to get that price. I know it probably involves getting a new service, so what would the price be if you just want to upgrade?
  25. Most of the places where they know it will be crazy; BB, Walmart, target and toys r us have only one or two doors open and they make a barricade with their shopping carts tied together or something else, so that people who waited in line get to go in first. Then when the line is in, they take away the barricades. A good thing is that toys r us had donuts and coffee for us freezing out in the cold for 2 hours. And beware that the line to check out of BB takes anywhere from 1-2 hours sometimes and runs all around the store and sometimes into the warehouse. Everything is roped or blocked off though so you know where the line is and you can't cut. It helps to have one person get in line and one run around and shop so you don't have to wait as long.
