    Target is 90%!

Went to the 164th st Target in Vancouver. Was pretty much picked through already. Got 2 rolls of wrapping paper, one for .39 and one for .29 Got a cute little flag thing that had snoopy laying on his house with christmas lights. My boys love snoopy so this will be cool for them to put out with next years decorations :) Toys were still 30% off but I picked up a hot wheels car carry case for 2.48 (it was the last one I saw) and a couple of the little Trollz things (inside joke among friends so these will make great gifts later on:tongue1: ) Oh! And they had the Dilbert desk calendar for .79! I got one as a late gift for my sister
  3. That's a great explanation! I'll have to remember that if my boys ever ask
  4. my boys are still little so we just wrap at the same time as we do the other gifts. use the same paper too. Might have to do the different paper thing when they get older
  5. some rain and I think around 50 here (SW Washington) for Christmas
  6. We got our tree from the local boy scout troop in SW Washington. Was $22 for about 6 ft tall. Douglas fir. Last year we paid the $5 forest fee and went up in the woods to cut down our own tree. Just ran out of time to do that this year.
  7. In case anyone is still looking... Target has Darth Tater listed online in their clearance section for $5.99 http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_2/601-9337753-0815330?%5Fencoding=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B00061I4U6
  8. We got our train table set at Costco. I think they have one again this year. It's the table and a whole train set up. It's not thomas, but the tracks are all the same wooden ones and the thomas trains work on them. I think ours was $80...not positive. We got ours 2 years ago. Anyway...if you're a costco member you may want to check out theirs.
  9. I saw some of the Doodle monsters at Fred Meyers and Walmart today (in Vancouver, WA). Both places had them for about 14.99 Not a super deal, but better then $60 on ebay!
  10. Was wondering if any of you have some ideas on how to display all the cards you receive for the holidays? I've had mine hanging from a string on a door before, just set up randomly around the house and in a box (got lazy that year, lol). I tend to get a few photo cards so I like to have them out to look at. TIA for any ideas!
  11. We have the inside decorated and lights around the deck outside. We're getting a real tree so we'll have to wait a bit more before we get that and decorate the tree. I also need to figure out a way to display christmas cards I receive.
  12. I can see the ad for my area (Washington, Oregon). Maybe they just updated the site cause when I look at other stores the ads come up. Shows the 1.99 barbies, etc.
  13. This is great! My boys will be so excited to get letters from Santa. I like how there are 2 different Letters from Santa. Would seem kind of odd if Santa said the exact same thing to each of my kids Thanks for posting this!
  14. I think this is it...sounds like it anyway. My friends and I used to make them all the time. easy and yummy Chocolate No Bake Cookies 1 Stick Butter 1/2 cup milk 3 cup Sugar 3 Tablespoons Cocoa Cook the above in a pot until melted. Add 3 Tablespoons Peanut Butter Bring to a boil. One whole minute (important) take off the stove and add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 3 cups oats (oatmeal) Drop on wax paper. Let cool. Once cool and firm, eat up!
  15. I'd like to drink a ton of diet pepsi to keep me going....but I think it would keep me going in a bad way...doing the potty dance wouldn't be fun in line
  16. Last year I gave our mail carrier a mug of candies and a $5 Starbucks card. Gave the Garbage people a tin of those butter cookies. I think that's what they are called. Trying to figure out what to do this year...would love to hear other peoples ideas.
  17. So far for SW Washington: 39 overnight and then high about 52 for Friday. Shows some chance of showers. Hopefully those don't happen until later in the day. No fun being cold AND wet
  18. You can get to it by clicking on the Most Wanted link at the very top of the page (next to the Sale Ads link) Once on the most wanted page you should see a link at the top that says shopping list HTH

  20. These are my favorite. Not really just for christmas, but that's when I make them Peanut Butter Blossoms http://www.hersheys.com/recipes/recipes/detail.asp?id=5191 Ingredients: 48 HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates 1/2 cup shortening 3/4 cup REESE'S Creamy Peanut Butter or REESE'S Crunchy Peanut Butter 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar 1 egg 2 tablespoons milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt Granulated sugar Directions: 1. Heat oven to 375°F. Remove wrappers from chocolates. 2. Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended. Add 1/3 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture. 3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet. 4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate into center of each cookie; cookie will crack around edges. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. About 4 dozen cookies.
