  1. I think Target may have issues with this gift card promo they are offering. Just a guess, but I think most people are going to expect to get all the gift cards. If they buy the blu-ray player for $149.99 it comes with a $20 gift card and is available for the $10 gift card for spending over $100. Most people are going to expect to walk away with $30 in gift cards.
  2. I have always done this. If I'm looking for a particular toy I look to see how many they have on the shelf and see where they are located if the shelf items are gone. This year will be different because I have so many different departments to go to at Target. Will still scope things out first though...
  3. Mine is also a SuperTarget. The only entrance that opened was on the grocery side. That worked out well for me because last year I was after toys and it was a straight shot from the grocery area. They had things scattered throughout the store. They handed out maps so you would know where everything was.
  4. My Target, about an hour before opening, went around and asked if you were there for a doorbuster and handed you a ticket for the item that you wanted. Hopefully they will do that again, but as someone posted above, it might be a good idea to call the week of BF and find out how your particular store is handling it. I wanted to add too that our store was brand new last year so maybe that's the reason they did the ticket thing. The manager mentioned that he was a seasoned BF vet so again, that may have something to do with it as well.
  5. My money goes to Target this year: Blu-ray player: $149.99 Tinkerbell dvd: $13 Up dvd : $13 Dual players : $88 2 $25 Itunes : $40 Graco baby : $24.99 10 pk frames : $12 Activity kits : $14 (for 2) Crockpot : $19 sandwich maker: $3 Sweater : $8.99 2 sherpa hoodies: $14 2 sets of pj's : $10 Flatiron : $89.99 Total is $499.96 Woo hoo for Target!
  6. I was really hoping for an inexpensive dollhouse but didn't see one. I'll definitely be skipping TRU this year. Target it is then!
  7. I will be in line around 3am, but I'm after the blu-ray player and maybe the tom tom. Haven't completely made up my mind on that yet.
  8. Brad, you just made a lot peoples' day!! TY!!
  9. I didn't notice that until you said something. I've never seen the bags before...maybe it's a new look they are trying out which is why they are free? I'll be in line before 4am so hopefully I will get one. :)
  10. Nothing really jaw dropping for me, but I am pretty impressed with the GPS at Target as well as the blu-ray player with the gift card. There are some things there that I will check out before BF to see if I really want them. I think my jaw dropped at the fact that the Target ad was posted more than what was in it. I was so excited to see that Brad put it up.
  11. And I'm wondering how early I am going to have to get there to stand in line! Target usually hands out tickets for big items like this. Helps out tons! That way you can get your other non ticket items without worrying about your tv. :)
  12. Lots of board games on that list. I'm surprised the tv isn't on there as well as the blu ray player.
  13. OMG this made my day. Brad you are the best! Target is definitely my first stop!
  14. I'm anxious for the ad too! Seriously feel like a junkie trying to get a fix! Based on the past few years, looks like the ad may be released any day now. The average date is around the 12th. :) Can't wait!
  15. Target ad, where art thou? I am anxiously waiting to see you.
  16. The excitement is building the time is so near Oh my, Black Friday is here!
  17. I vow to stick to the game plan and not buy just for the sake of buying. I also vow to treat my mom and myself to a Starbucks because we deserve it for getting up so darn early. :)
  18. I always bring my mom. It's tradition. Cash, debit card, and cell phones too of course. I bring the normal outdoor gear...jacket, hat, gloves, hand warmers, etc. We normally bring the ads with us, too, but I really like the index card idea. Just might have to steal that one. This year I might go ahead and get the coffee brewing so we can bring some with us. And some chairs. And a blanket. I get tired of standing. :)
  19. Photo #1: Hey Peggy Sue...I think we forgot something...if you've got this, I need to go back in and buy for my cousin's girlfriend's aunt's next door neighbor Billy Joe. Photo #2: Victorias Secret...Macy's....I thought we were buying for the kids? How do I fall for this every single black Friday? Well, did she at least get something for me? Photo #3: After eating too much turkey the day before...Becky sleeps soundly dreaming of deals at Target. Meanwhile, the crazed shopper next to her pretends to dooze off so she can swipe the ad for one last glance at the deals!
  20. Our store did this last year...they passed out Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate. They were very well organized. I'll definitely be there again this year...if the ad is what I hope it will be of course. :)
  21. Thank you for the coupon link! I was going to try and buy this on black friday, but I'm pretty sure this coupon makes it a better deal now. :)
  22. Last year my mom and I lined up at the new Super Target bright and early. The staff was very nice to all that were standing in line. They didn't allow those that weren't in line to come through the doors until all of the line people made it through. They also passed out Starbucks coffee. And, they had carts lined up throughout the store so if you ran to your specific area without one, you didn't have to worry about tracking one down. It was a very pleasant experience. Hoping for great deals there again this year!
  23. Always with my mom. No one else is crazy enough to get up that early. :)
  24. Will be shopping in Smyrna, TN....they have Target and Kohls in the same shopping center. One stop shopping for us!
