  1. This sounds yummy! Would you post a recipe please?
  2. I always make Walgreens my last stop for the cheap BF wrapping supplies and candy cane pens.
  3. Here are some sites I found when I was looking for fun things to do at my ornament exchange party: http://www.robinsweb.com/cookies/games.html http://www.santalady.com/xmasgames.html
  4. I saw needlepoint stockings on the JC Penney site last night. They are usually 29.99, on sale for 11.99 and personalized free. My picture is not that great, but they look cute. For some reason I can't get it to link to the page. Just go to www.jcpenney.com Look under Home Furnishings and then on the left go to Holiday at Home
  5. i just ordered for my little nieces & nephews off of the Hasbro site. You can get 25% off and free shipping with the code HASBRO25 through Sunday. Here's the list of items for 2-3 years olds: http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ProductsByAge.htm?CD=10&NPG=504
  6. Same thing here - nothing they just can't live without.
  7. They had them for that price the year before too, so hopefully they will continue the trend. I always stock up on the hand soaps for teacher gifts and last-minute extras. I think they have been 4/$10 the past few BF's, does anyone remember if that is correct? My favorite holiday item is the Vanilla Noel body cream (thicker than the regular lotion). It smells like cake batter and feels like a layer of satin.
  8. Hope this isn't a repeat, I did a search. http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ Use code HASBRO25 for 25% off your total and free shipping! I got the Chat Now phones for 56.xx
  9. Elf is my new favorite. We also like Scrooged with Bill Murray.

    Christmas Candy

We usually have a bowl of Reeses peanutbutter cups and Hershey's kisses. Somehow they just taste better in red & green! I recently found Ghirardelli peppermint bark at our local dollar store. It is delicious with coffee. Has anyone tried the eggnog?
  11. How about putting the samples in a purse-size makeup bag?
  12. Here's a very helpful site for hosting a cookie exchange: http://www.robinsweb.com/cookies/index.html I don't like to bake but thought it sounded like fun, so I took the same format and turned it into a handcrafted ornament exchange. My mom and I will be hosting our 4th one this year. We all make one for each guest (10 guests, make 10 ornaments). We sit them on a table in festive baskets and I provided a holiday bag for everyone to take home. We also do a craft at the party and have a yummy holiday brunch. This year we are allowing crafts/decor as well as ornaments because we are all running out of room on our tree!
  13. I used Snapfish for Mother's Day and was really pleased with the results. I put my baby dd's pic on the cover of a notebook. Best of all, they are only 9.99. I think I am going to put a photo of my kids on a gift tin and fill it with seasoned pecans for my grandparents. They don't need anything and I think they would love it. They have all sorts of cool things: pillowcase, playing cards, clock, tie They have a special offer- order copies of the same gift and get 25% off the copies. http://www.snapfish.com/store/t_=0
  14. Has anyone discovered a way to avoid some of the long BF lines by using off-the-beaten-path registers? (like maybe the garden center?)

    Leap pad

We have the writing one. The stylus can switch into a pencil for writing exercises (it easily erases). I believe you can use any LeapPad book with it.

    Recipes?!?!

We make sausage balls for breakfast every year. My husband now eats low carb so I modified the recipe and we like it even better than the original. Original 1 roll of breakfast sausage 2 cups grated cheddar cheese 3 cups baking mix (like Bisquick) Knead ingredients together until well mixed. Roll into walnut-sized balls and place on lightly greased baking sheet. Cook at 375 for 15-20 minutes until lightly browned. Low Carb 1 roll of breakfast sausage 2 cups grated cheddar cheese 1 1/2 cups whole wheat baking mix (we use Hodgson Mills) We like them best with hot sausage and sharp cheddar cheese.
  17. Two years ago (I think) Walmart had a cheap dvd/vcr combo for a doorbuster. I didn't bother going because I figured they would be gone in 5 minutes. I stopped by later that morning and decided to walk through electronics "just in case". Someone put the last one in their cart just as I got there! Now I know it never hurts to check if it's something I really want.
  18. Great idea! Now I can concentrate on getting my free snowglobe instead
  19. I just saw it on the Walmart site for $19.78, but I'm not sure if the price is the same in the store.
