  1. Ebgames will be taking preorders, they just aren't quite sure when their going to start yet. Try calling later in the week, they are supposed to have a start date around then.
  2. UPS supposedly delivered a package to me on Wednesday(12/28) at 2:38pm. I didn't get any package, so I called. I was told it was left at the front door, I told them I was home all day and no package came. It's not like they can sneak up to the door either, we live in the woods, our driveway is pretty long and our dog ALWAYS lets us know when anything is coming. They didn't have a clue and told me I had to call the shipper(Nintendo) and have them call UPS to start the investigation process. Here's the up side, I called Nintendo, told CS what happened. They told me that I would be getting a call with in 2 business days and that it would be taken care of. I thought that was pretty good. Not 1 minute after I hung up, no exageration either, Nintendo called back and told me they were going to be shipping out my order again today and not to worry about the UPS thing, they would deal with it. :):)
  3. I got a 23" tv/dvd player combo yesterday at Walmart for $78!
  4. My 4 yr old sons Christmas list consisted of, Polly Pockets, a "baby doll", Dora shoes(the pretty pink ones mommy) and a Dora Talking House. I'm getting a lot of flak for it, but he's getting all the girly stuff he asked for. Why shouldn't I get him what he actually wants, rather than what I, or anyone else, thinks he SHOULD want.

    wireless router??

We were using a D-Link which worked fine, but we had to get a new one. We ended up with a Linksys WRT54GS which I now LOVE. It was easy to set up, one button set up, and it is compatible with the Nintendo DS, which is why we needed a new one. There is also a noticable speed difference between it and the old D-Link. The Linksys is also B and G compatible, which works good if you have older wireless components on your computers. Best Buy has it onsale with 2 MIR's, $15 each, so you can end up saving $30, total cost being $59.99. The BB rebate you can submit online, the Linksys one you have to send in.

    Mario Kart DS bundle

The number I called was 1-800-255-3700, you have to go through some button pushing then hit 0 to talk to a real person. You have to specifically ask for overnight shipping, they offer ground, but if explain that you need it by Christmas they should upgrade it for you.

    Mario Kart DS bundle

I called Nintendo this afternoon, they are overnighting me the checkered wrist strap. I was not the first person to call about it either. At least I'll have it by Christmas and I can swap it so my son will never know! I urge others to check. I know it's not a big thing to us adults, but to a kid, it is HUGE.

    Mario Kart DS bundle

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I bought one of these bundles for my son for Christmas. It's supposed to have a checkered wrist strap, decals and other such item specific things. Well, the wrist strap is plain black. I know it's not just mine either. I took the first one I bought back and exchanged it, same problem, plain wrist strap. So I took it back again, that store had no more so I went to yet another store, had them open every single one in the store and they ALL had the plain wrist strap, that makes 9 of them at 2 different stores. I know this might sound like a petty thing, but that wrist strap is a big selling point to my son, he talks about wanting the cool red mario ds with the racing wrist strap. Did anyone else have this problem? If you haven't looked yet, you might want to. I emailed Nintendo last night about it and plan on calling them today. I'm a tad bit upset over this as I doubt, even if they send me one, that it'll be here for Christmas.
  9. I was wondering this myself. I got Sirius for my hubby for Christmas since he's a Howard Stern Fan. Free activation would be great.
  10. I know exactly what you're talking about, unfortunately I have no idea where to find them. We had some a few years ago and the kids loved them to death, literally.
  11. I always give the mailman a little something. Usually $10 in a card with a little ornament or something taped to it. We have a great mailman, he comes up our driveway to deliver packages, even in the winter, which is not an easy task with our driveway. He's worth much more, but $10 is about all I can do around this time of year.
  12. I usually toss in little odds and ends that go along with the bigger presents. A pack of batteries, new earphones, a video game, any sort of accessories for their games(usb cables and such). If they don't have much of that, I will toss in McCash or movie certificates.
  13. I always give my kids teachers an ornament of some kind. This year they are getting gingerbread ornaments, men, women, mittens, wreaths and candy cane shapes. They were 12 for $6.95 and are really really cute. I ended up ordering more for our own tree.
  14. Did you end up finding one? I was at our Walmart again yesterday and there were only 2 left. I didn't realize it would be such a popular game. Oh, they were priced at $49.88, which I thought was pretty good since it comes with the game and a pad.
  15. I live in western MA. Sometimes, if you get a very nice customer service person, they will call other stores and find what you want and have it sent to their store for you. We did that at our Walmart for a Trampoline last summer. The woman was soooo nice, she told us she would call when it came in, we were expecting a wait, but she called 2 days later to say it was there and on hold for us. It never hurts to ask.
  16. Our local Walmart has quite a few of them, I didn't check the price though as it's not something my kids asked for. I only noticed them because they are stacked up all over the video game department.
  17. I got that for my brother last year for Christmas. He loves it. I got it at www.lakeside.com, they have it again this year and it's cheaper.

    Amazing Amanda doll

For $100, Amanda better do windows!
  19. Wow, all I do is order chinese food.
  20. Our Walmart still has tons of things from BF. A whole display of the CP babies, Dora/Spongebob tv and dvd players, Little People sets. The only things I think they sold out of were the laptops and the portable dvd players. There's even a few desktops left. Everything is still at BF prices.
  21. I don't think they mean the L-Max. At my Walmart there is a newer designed Leapster, same as the old Leapster, just looks different. We have the older one, my littlest loves it. He actually loved our first one to death, literally, but I sent off an email to leapfrog and they sent me a brand new one at no charge. The rectangular one looks a little smaller, which may make it easier for little hands to hold.
  22. I got our down comforter from Overstock, 59.99 I think. It was so much more than I expected for the price. The fluffiest and I mean FLUFFY, warmest, most snuggly down comforter that I've ever owned. My kids drag it out to the couch so they can jump onto it and disappear and I don't even mind because I didn't spend a small fortune on it.
